Shibaozhai is an isolated steep peak rising almost straight up from the northern bank of the Yangtze River. A magnificent red twelve-story pavilion was built on the mountain during the reign of Emperor Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty. Tourists can climb to the top by a roundabout staircase.
