At Shanghai South Long-distance Bus Station, take a direct bus to Putuo and you will get to Shenjiamen Bus Station. Then you can take a taxi to Banshengdong Port (cost CNY10 or around), where take a ferry to Mt. Putuo.

From Hangzhou, you can take a bus at local South Bus Station or Passenger Transport Central Station to Putuo. Then take a taxi and ferry to your destination!
