11 Days of Chengdu - Guanghan - Dujiangyan - Dayi Anren - Mt. Emei - Leshan - Zigong - Dazu - Chengdu

Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily

Day 01: Arrival in Chengdu
Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel to have a good rest.


Day 02: Chengdu
Visit the Wenshu Buddhist Monastery, the River Viewing Pavilion Park and have some tea at People's Park to experience the local people's leisure time.


Day 03: Chengdu - Xindu - Guanghan
Head north to the Panda Breeding Research Center, and then Xindu to visit the Baoguan Temple. Then cycle to Guanghan where you will visit the Sanxingdui Archeological Museum.


Day 04: Guanghan - Dujiangyan
Head west to Dujiangyan. Visit the Dujiangyan Irrigation Project of China covering the Dragon-Taming Temple, the Erwang Temple and the Anlan Suspension Bridge.


Day 05: Dujiangyan - Dayi - Anren
Cycle south to Dayi Anren to visit Landlord Manor Re-education Center. En route, visit Mt. Qingcheng Temple. Li Landlord Manor is used as a re-education center to illustrate the evils of the landlord-serf system.


Day 06: Dayi Anren - Mt. Emei
Travel to Mt. Emei, one of China's four sacred Buddhist Mountains for some exploration. Stay overnight in the hotel on Mt. Emei.


Day 07: Mt. Emei
View the sunrise over the clouds at the summit in the early morning. Hike Mt. Emei and visit the Baoguo Temple and the Wannian Temple. Stay overnight.
 

Day 08: Mt. Emei - Leshan
Return to the foot of the mountain. Cycle to Leshan and visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, the biggest sitting Buddha statue in the world.


Day 09: Leshan - Rongxian - Zigong
Head east to Rongxian to visit China's second largest Buddha and then to Zigong for a visit of Dinosaur and Salt Museums.


Day 10: Zigong - Dazu
Transfer southeast to Dazu, and to visit the Grotto Art including the North Cliff of Rock Sculpture and the Baoding Carvings.


Day 11: Departure from Dazu - Chengdu
Transfer to Chengdu. Your tour ends here.
