Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily

Day 01: Arrival in Chengdu
Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel. Have a good rest and get prepared for your next day tour.

Day 02: Chengdu
Cycle to the Wangjiang Tower Park and the Wenshu Buddha Temple for a visit. Have a cup of tea in the old tea house in old Chengdu city in the late afternoon. Taste the delicious Sichuan Cuisine and enjoy the Sichuan Opera in the evening.

Day 03: Chengdu - Wolong
Transfer 100km to the starting point of the ride. And then cycle to Wolong Nature Reserve. Stay overnight in Wolong.

Day 04: Wolong - Dengsheng
In the morning visit the Panda Research Center. Then cycle through Wolong Nature Reserve to Dengsheng and catch a glimpse of the yaks raised by Tibetan herdsmen grazing on the slopes.

Day 05: Dengsheng - Rilongguan
Cycle to Rilongguan at the base of Four Girls Mountains, which is snow - covered all year.
 

Day 06: Rilongguan - Danba
Cycle downhill to Xiaojin Xian for a visit of a Buddhist Temple, an Islamic Mosque, and a Catholic Church. Then cycle to Danba which is on the Dadu River, and visit a lamasery and a Tibetan Buddhist Temple.

Day 07: Danba
Hike around Danba including some Tibetan Defensive towers and the hills around this area.

Day 08: Danba - Bamei
Cycle 97km to Bamei and enjoy hot springs there.

Day 09: Bamei - Daofu
Cycle to Daofu. Visit Daofu Tibetan House, neatly constructed white flat-roofed houses and enjoy genuine Tibetan-style buttered tea. Visit a local orphanage.

Day 10: Daofu - Luhuo
Cycle to Luhuo, which is a small Tibetan town. Experience local people's life there.

Day 11: Luhuo - Ganzi
Cycle to Ganzi, located in a large valley with grassy hills. Visit a Tibetan Monastery there.

Day 12: Ganzi
Explore Ganzi beautiful landscape and visit Tibetan houses and monasteries including Garze Monastery and Den Gompa.

Day 13: Ganzi - Manigange
Cycle to Manigange, a Tibetan town. It was also a post house in old times. Experience the unique Tibetan landscape and customs.

Day 14: Manigange - Dege
Cycle to Dege, located by Jinsha River. Visit the Tibetan Sutra Printing House.


Day 15: Dege
Cycle to Jinsha River at the border of Tibet. Then return back to Dege.

Day 16: Dege - Luhuo
Transfer to Luhuo. View the Tibetan Villages and people in special dresses along the road. Stay overnight.

Day 17: departure from Luhuo - Chengdu
Cycle down from Balangshan Pass to Wolong. And then transfer to Chengdu. Your bicycle tour ends here.
