BC-DH01 : 8 Days Dunhuang - Turpan - Kashgar - Karakul Lake - Kashgar - Urumqi


Day 01: Arrival in Dunhuang

Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel and have a good rest. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration. 



Day 02: Dunhuang - Turpan
Experience a short camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune to reach the Crescent Lake. Then Visit the Mogao Grottoes. Take the overnight soft sleeper train to Turpan.



Day 03: Turpan
The train will arrive in Turpan in the early morning. Check in at a local hotel to have a short rest and have your breakfast. Then visit the Jiaohe Ruins, the Karez Well and the Sugong Pagoda by bike. Enjoy the Uygur dancing performance.



Day 04: Turpan - Urumqi - Kashgar
In the morning, transfer to Urumqi. En route, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Great Salt Lake and visit Daban Town and the biggest wind power plant in China. Visit the Xinjiang Regional Museum after lunch. In the late afternoon, fly to Kashgar. Check in at a local hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city.



Day 05: Kashgar - Karakul Lake
Drive to Karakul Lake. En route, enjoy the beautiful plateau scenery and visit a rural Uygur village by donkey cart. Cycle around the lake and visit a Kazakh nomad family to enjoy local flavors. Enjoy the sunset by the lake and stay overnight in the camp.



Day 06: Karakul Lake - Kashgar
Enjoy the amazing view of sunrise. Drive back to Ksahgar in the morning. Visit the largest Bazaar in central Asia. Cycle around Kashgar and visit Idkah Mosque and the Abakh Khoja Tomb.



Day 07: Kashgar - Urumqi
Take a morning flight to Urumqi. Cycle to a local Kazakh family and have lunch there. In the afternoon, transfer to the Heavenly Lake. Explore this crescent-shaped lake by bike. Then drive back to Urumqi.



Day 08: Departure from Urumqi
Your bicycle tour ends here and leave Urumqi according to your schedule.
