Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily

Day 01: Arrival in Kunming
Upon arrival, check in at a hotel and have a good rest. Cycle in the city. Visit Yuantong Temple, East and West Pagodas and Cuihu City Park. Stay overnight.

Day 02: Kunming - Shangri-La
Take a morning flight to Shangri-La, a predominately Tibetan town. Explore this Tibetan town, visit Songzanlin Monastery and Tiansheng Bridge.

Day 03: Shangri-La
Cycle around dramatic grasslands. Have a good rest and get prepared for your tomorrow's challenging ride.

Day 04: Shangri-La - Baishuitai
Depart from Shangri-La and cycle to Baishutai, the backdoor of Tiger Leaping Gorge, and enjoy the fascinating mountain scenery along the way.

Day 05: Baishuitai - Tiger Leaping Gorge
Continue on a bumpy road to Tiger Leaping Gorge. View and admire the great amazing natural wonder of Tiger Leaping Gorge, one the world's deepest gorges. Visit the narrow but powerful spot of the gorge where it takes its name. Stay overnight in local lodgings.

Day 06: Tiger Leaping Gorge - Lijiang
Head to Lijiang and stay overnight in a valley overshadowed by Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, the snow-covered and fog-enlaced mountain.

Day 07: Lijiang
Cycle around Lijiang's Old Town with unique architecture and fast flowing waterways. Visit Zhiyun Temple and Baisha Frescoes.

Day 08: Lijiang - Ninglang
Cycle to Ninglang and enjoy the amazing scenery along the road.

Day 09: Ninglang - Luoshui
Cycle to Luoshui and enjoy the amazing scenery along the road.

Day 10: Luoshui - Yongning
Cycle to Yongning and visit Yongnnig Monastery.

Day 11: Yongning - Lugu Lake - Yongsheng
Cycle to Yongsheng, the entrance to Lugu Lake where Mosuo People live in the form of a matriarchal society. Visit the Liwubi Island. Then transfer to Yongsheng in the afternoon.

Day 12: Yongsheng - Huaping
Head to Huaping and visit Guanyinqing Valley.

Day 13: Huaping - Panzhihua
Cycle to Panzhihua which is the industrial center of south Sichuan Province.

Day 14: Panzhihua - Chengdu
Take a 15-hour train to Chengdu and have a good rest after a long cycling.

Day 15: Departure from Chengdu
Visit the Panda Breeding Research Center and Taste Sichuan Cuisine. Your bicycle tour ends here.
