BC-LJ01 : 9 Days Lijiang - Haba Snow Mountain - Tiger Leaping Gorge - Shangri-La - Kunming

 
 Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily 
 
Day 01: Arrival in Lijiang
Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel. Cycle around the beautiful old town and visit the Black Dragon Pond. 

 
Day 02: Lijiang
Cycle to Lashi Lake. Ride around Lashi Lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery and rural life of several Naxi and Yi minority villages.

 
Day 03: Lijiang - Haba Snow Mountian
Cycle to the foot of Haba Snow Mountian. Hike this amazing mountain for about 5 hours and stay overnight in a camp.

 
Day 04: Haba Snow Mountain - Tiger Leaping Gorge
Transfer to Qiaotou Town, the entrance of the Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the world's deepest gorges. En route, view and admire the great amazing natural wonder of Tiger Leaping Gorge. Cycle about 12km to Walnut Grove, a peaceful village in the gorge. Stay overnight in a local guesthouse.

 
Day 05: Tiger Leaping Gorge - Haba Village
Cycle uphill 20km out of the gorge to Haba Village. Stay overnight in a local guesthouse.

 
Day 06: Haba Village - Shangri-La ( Zhongdian)
Cycle about 18km to Sanba Village and visit Baishuitai, the birthplace of Naxi Dongba Culture. Then transfer to Shangri-La, a predominately Tibetan town. Check in at a local hotel and visit the Tibetan Law Court and Guishan Temple where you can see the biggest rotating scripture column in the world.

 
Day 07: Shangri-La
Hike about 6km to Shangri-La Canyon and enjoy the beautiful scenery en route. Visit a local Tibetan family and have lunch there. Out of the canyon, transfer to Shangri-La.

 
Day 08: Shangri-La
Cycle about 8km to Napa Lake, a paradise for black-necked crane and other wild birds. Then visit Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan. Stay overnight in a local hotel.

 
Day 09: Departure from Shangri-La - Kunming
Fly to Kunming in the morning. End your bicycle tour here. 
 

BC-LJ02 : 12 Days Lijiang - Tiger Leaping Gorge - Dali

 
 Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily 
 
Day 01: Arrival in Lijiang
Upon arrival, check in at a local hotel. Cycle around Lijiang and visit a local market, the tie-dying in Zhoucheng and the Yan's Compound of Bai Minority in Xizhou. 
 

Day 02: Lijiang
Cycle to Lashi Lake. Ride around Lashi Lake and enjoy the beautiful scenery and rural life of several Naxi and Yi minority villages.
 

Day 03: Lijiang - Bai Shui River
Cycle to Bai Shuii River. On the way, enjoy the dramatic snow-capped peaks of Jade Snow Mountian. Take rides along Bai Shui River and explore the amazing scenery.
 

Day 04: Baishui River - Haba Snow Mountain
Cycle from Baishui to Daju, which is situated on the Yangtze River at the northern end of Tiger Leaping Gorge. Go on a hike on the slopes of Haba Snow Mountain and transfer to Haba.
 

Day 05: Haba Snow Mountain - Tiger Leaping Gorge
Cycle to Tiger Leaping Gorge before a hike into the Yi and Hui villages which is located on the slope of Haba Mountian. Stay overnight in Tiger Leaping Gorge.
 

Day 06: Tiger Leaping Gorge
View and admire the great amazing natural wonder of Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the world's deepest gorges.
 

Day 07: Tiger Leaping Gorge - Shigu
Along the Yangtze River, cycle to Shigu, the "first bend" in the Yangtze River. Cycling around Shigu and viewing old courtyard houses, cobblestone streets and temples will bring you back into the past.
 

Day 08: Shigu - Shaxi
Cycle to Shaxi. It is the longest day cycling of this tour. On the route, you will get a chance to view the town of Jianchuan.
 

Day 09: Shaxi
Visit the last country fair in ancient road Chama. View the ancient architecture which has not been touched by modern progress.
 

Day 10: Shaxi - Er Yuan
Cycle to Er Yuan. It is a hard cycling including a big deep climb, a heavily wooded forest and stuff down road. Stay overnight here and have a hot spring bath.

 
Day 11: Er Yuan - Dali
Cycle to Dali. On the way, ride around the shores of the huge inland sea, Er Hai Lake, and enjoy the landscape and the fishing villages along the coast.

 
Day 12: Departure from Dali
Visit the Three Pagoda, the South Gate of the Dali ancient town and Foreigner Street. Your tour ends here.
