- 4 Days Guangxi-guilin01 of Guilin - Yangdi- Nine Horse Cliff - Xingping - Yangshuo - Guilin

Departure: based on the cruise sailing date.
Day 01: Arrival in Guilin
Arrive in Guilin and get prepared. Stay overnight at the local hotel.
Day 02: Guilin - Yangdi- Nine Horse Cliff
Transfer to Yangdi which is the most beautiful part of Li River, trekking pass through the villages along the river. Have lunch at the restaurant near the river and arrive at the Nine Horse Cliff in the afternoon. It takes 6 hours. Stay overnight in the camp.
Day 03: Nine Horse Cliff - Xingping - Yangshuo
Trek from Nine Horse Cliff to Snail Hill. Continue trekking to Xingping. It takes 5 hours in total. Drive to Yangshuo. Stay overnight at the local hotel.
Day 04: Departure from Guilin
Take a bike riding in the countryside this morning. After Lunch, transfer to Guilin. Leave Guilin according to your flight schedule.

We travelled during month of September in Guangxi and Guizhou provinces. All prices listed per person.
All hostels or guesthouses I would recommend to other travellers if not otherwise noted.
We flew to Hong Kong and went by sleeper bus to Yangshuo Y250. Bus tickets bought one day before departure. Hiking along Li river 24km,4 1/2hours,no guide.By bus to Yangdi Y8,entrance fee Y16,
two ferries crossing included in price, the last one,Y4 and by bus back from Xingping Y5.50.Last bus at 5PM.Nice hike,lots of tourist boats on the river at same time,then peaceful.
Bike trip we used guide, Ms.Feng,didn't see very much it rained and we were completely soaked.
From Yangshuo by tourist bus to Ping An parking lot Y80,shuttle bus Y10 from parking lot to Ping An village.Entrance fee Y50.Stayed in Shanxing hotel Y70,double room with bathroom.Hiked from Ping An to Dazai,4hrs through rice paddies.Hotel owner's son guided us,cost Y70 for 4.He was specially useful in Dazai when he took us through the best part of the rice paddies.He got lost few times but phoned his friend how to get us to the bus parking lot.
From Ping An we took bus to Longshen at 7:30AM,1 hr,Y7.From Longshen to Sanjiang another bus left in 15 minutes and arrived in Sanjiang in 2 1/2 hours,Y15.There are two bus stations in Sanjiang,buses to Chengyang go from the other bus station across the bridge.Somebody at the bus station where we arrived called for us taxi and we paid Y40 for 4 to Chengyang.Entrance fee Y30.Stayed in Chengyang Bridge National Hostel double room with bathroom Y50.At 4PM show at the main square.Nice hiking to other villages and to pagodas on top of the hill for nice view.
Minivan to Sanjiang,20 minutes ride Y40 for 4,Sanjiang to Zhaoxing by bus at 11:30AM,Y25.After 45 minutes we reached mud hole where we got stuck for 3 1/2 hours.After another two hours we got stopped at landslide for another 30 minutes, so total travelling time over 8 hrs,it should take 4 hours.Road partly paved.Stayed at Dong Village hotel,Y80 double room with bathroom on the main street just next to the place where we watched show at 9:00PM.Visited Tang An village,spectacular scenary and Luoxing market.
From Zhaoxing by bus Y16 to Congjiang at 7:30AM.Bus broke after one hour and in Luoxing we got transferred to another bus.Arrived in Congjiang at 11:30AM.We stayed here in Tenglong hotel Y80,the best we could find but not the nice place to stay.We took taxi Y80 for 4 to visit Basha village and Gaozeng.Both villages were disapointment.
Next day bus to Rongjiang at 7:20AM,Y20.Arrived in Rongjiang at 10:10AM.Bus to Leishan left at 10:40AM,Y37.Beautiful ride across mountains.In one place we had to leave bus because of landslide.Bus drove through,but people had to walk.Arrived in Leishan at 2:45PM.Stayed in new hotel Sheng Cheng Jia Yuan hotel,Y100 double room with bathroom.The best hotel on this trip and very good restaurant.
Half a day trip to Langde from Leishan,by bus Y5 to Langde intersection and walked 1.5 km to Upper Langde.Watched show,walked around and took bus back from intersection to Leishan.
From Leishan to Xijang by bus at 8:00AM,Y9 1 1/2 hr ride.We couldn't find any hotel in the village,lots of chinese students,we stayed at the bus station hotel,mediocre,Y33 double room with bathroom.Chinese students did the bargaining for us,otherwise the price would be around Y80.Walked up into the hills and watched show in the village.Entrance fee I think Y20,forgot to write it down.
From Xijiang by bus to Kaili at 7:00AM,Y20.The ride took 2 1/2 hours.The bus stopped in Leishan for 1/2 hour.Stayed in Yingpanpo Minority hotel close to bus station.Y120 double room with bathroom.
Here we bought train tickets from Guiyang to Chengdu at CITS.Charged high commission Y50 but we didn't want to loose time in Guiyang.Price hard sleeper top berth Y135.
Next day by bus to Guiyang at 9:00AM,Y55 and then by train at 4:27PM to Chengdu.We picked up the train tickets in the hotel across the train station in Guiyang.
