 Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kunming
Arrive in Kunming and get prepared. Stay overnight at a local hotel.
 
 
Day 02: Kunming - Tiger Leaping Gorge
Visit the Stone Forest and the Bird and Flower Market, time permitting. Drive to Qiaotou, the gateway to Tiger Leaping Gorge which is the deepest gorge in the world.
 
 
Day 03: Tiger Leaping Gorge
Enjoy a full day’s hike along the High Trail in Tiger Leaping Gorge, braving the 900 meters ascent through the “28 Bends” then enjoying the panorama of Yulong Snow Mountains from the summit. Hike for the next 2 hours to reach the Half-way hotel. Stay overnight there.

 
Day 04: Tiger Leaping Gorge - Walnut Grove - Jingsha River - Daju
Continue hiking in Tiger Leaping Gorge passing some beautiful cascade en route to Walnut Grove. Then take a van, donkey, ferry combination to arrive at the other side of the Jingsha River. Hike for a further hour and a half across a plateau surrounded by snow-covered mountains to Daju. Stay overnight at a local hotel. 

 
Day 05: Daju - Lijiang
Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (5996m) area. Take a cable car up to Maoniuping (Yak Meadow). Hike at the top to take in the spectacular views of the Snow Mountains with the grassland in the foreground. Drive back to Lijiang. En route, stop at Baishuihe (White Water River) and Gan Hezi (Dry Sea) for scenic views.

 
Day 06: Departure from Lijiang

Day 01:  Arrival in Kunming
Arrive in Kunming and get prepared. Stay overnight at a local hotel.

 
Day 02: Kunming - Luoping
Drive 6 hours from Kunming to Luoping, on the way, sightseeing in the Stone Forest which is one of the great nature wonders in China. Stay at a local hotel.

 
Day 03 : Luping - Golden Cock Hills - Nine Dragon Waterfalls
Trek 10 kilometers to Golden Cock Hills, photographing the golden fields of rape. Then trek 8 kilometers to the Nine Dragon Waterfalls, after lunch, sightseeing at the waterfalls. Stay at a local hotel.

 
Day 04: Nine Dragon Waterfalls - Banqiao Town - Lubuge Gorge - Mini Three Gorges
Drive to Banqiao Town, then trek 28 kilometers to the Lubuge Gorge. After lunch, take a boat cruise through the Mini Three Gorges to the power plant. Stay at a local hotel.

 
Day 05: Mini Three Gorges - Duoyi River - Luoping
After breakfast, take a boat to visit the village located at the meeting spot of the three provinces, then trek along the Duoyi River for about 15 kilometers. Drive back to Luoping, stay in a local hotel.

 
Day 06: Luoping - Kunming
Drive back to Kunming, en route, sightseeing in the Colorful Sand Forest and enjoy a half hour horse riding. Stay in a local hotel there.

 
Day 07: Departure from Kunming
Leave Kunming according to your own schedule.
 

Yunnan-kunming08 : 5 Days Kunming - Mt.Jiaozi - Kunming

 
 Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kunming
Arrive in Kunming and get prepared. Stay overnight at the local hotel.

 
Day 02: Kunming - Mt. Jiaozi
Drive from Kunming to the foot of Mt. Jiaozi. Then trek up to the Base Camp (3800 meters), viewing flowers on the way.

 
Day 03: Mt. Jiaozi
Continue to trek up, Viewing the natural scenery near the top of the mountain. Stay overnight in base camp.

 
Day 04: Mt. Jiaozi - Kunming
Trek down the mountain, and then drive back to Kunming.

 
Day 05: Departure from Kunming

Day 02: Kunming
Take one day tour to visit Stone Forest and Flower and Birds Market.

 
Day 03: Kunming - Baoshan
Take a flight to Baoshan. Visit the City of Baoshan County.

 
Day 04: Baoshan - Baihualin
Drive to BaihuaLin. Then trek 3 hours to the Primitive Forest, water falls, Zaotanhui Hot Spring. Stay overnight at the local hotel in BaihuaLin.

 
Day 05: BaihuaLin - Liuku 
Drive 186 kilometers to Liuku. Travel to Gaoligong Shan Mountain along the Silk Road.

 
Day 06: Liuku - Gongshan 
Drive 266 kilometers to Gongshan. Visit the Old Tiger Leaping Gorge, Stone Moon and the Pine in middle of River.

 
Day 07: Gongshan - Binzhongluo - Gongshan
Drive to Binzhongluo. Trek 4 hours to visit the First Bend of Nu River, the Nu people, stone House Hinayana Buddhism, Lama temple and Chongdintian Catholic Church.

 
Day 08: Gongshan - Dimaluo
Continue drive north along the Nu River to Dimaluo village. Stay in local villager's house.

 
Day 09-10: Dimaluo - Biluo Snow Moutain
Start trekking up the Biluo Snow Moutain (4652 meters high) which is between the Nu River and the Mekong River. You will pass a village (Baihanluo), a catholic church, a village (Layatong) and the mountain pass at 4000 meters and reach the village (Diwazhachong). Stay in local villager's house or camping.

 
Day 11: Biluo Snow Moutain - Cizhong Town
Trek down the mountain to Cizhong town by the side of Mekong River. Visit the 100-year-old Catholic Church built by a French missionary, which is also the best-preserved church in Yunnan. Stay in a local guesthouse.

 
Day 12: Cizhong Town - Meili
Continue to drive north along the Mekong River for half day from Cizhong to Meili Snow Mountain (6740 meters high). View at the Minyong Glacier up the mountain. Stay in a guesthouse in Minyong Village.

 
Day 13: Meili - Deqin
Walk around in Yubeng village and visit the Holy Waterfall, then trek down the mountain and drive to Deqin. Stay overnight at the local hotel.

 
Day 14: Deqin - Zhongdian (Shangri-la)
Drive to Zhongdian. En route, you will be traveling in a scene which could only be seen in the heaven while climb up the White Horse Snow Mountain (5430 meters high) and Nature Resort, then cross the 4200 meter-high mountain pass, then drive down the mountain to visit the bent of Yangtze River at Benzhilan. Stop at Dongzhulin Monastery which is a very important monastery in Kham area. At last, reach Zhongdian (Shingri-la, 3200 meters high).

 
Day 15: Zhongdian(Shingri-la) - Kunming
Take a tour in Zhongdian, including the Songzanlin Monastery, the Tibetan market and a Tibetan village. Return to Kunming.

 
Day 16: Departure from Kunming
Leave Kunming according to your schedule.
