Street scene in the Spring Festival

Day One: Entry Shanghai
TCG guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you at the Shanghai Pudong (Hongqiao) Airport according to your international (internal) flight schedule. Transfer to the 4-star hotel for 2 nights stay and stroll along the Nanjing Road and reach the Bund area along the Huangpu River if time allows.

Day Two: Shanghai
A whole day excursion covers the Synagogue, Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden, the famous Bund area along the Huangpu River and a local family visit. 

Specials: Portman Acrobatic Show and a tasty dinner at Wangbaohe restaurant
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner


Day Three: Shanghai - Kaifeng
Morning is at your leisure and lunch is on your part. Visit the Jade Buddha Temple in the afternoon before taking an overnight soft sleeper train to Kaifeng.

Day Four: Kaifeng - Luoyang
TCG guide will wait for you at the railway station ahead of train schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 2 nights stay. A nice breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a tour to the Kaifeng Museum, the Qingming Riverside Scene Park, a local Jewish family and the former Jewish quarter, the cemetery of Jin (Gilbert), another Jewish family and the Iron Pagoda. Transfer to Luoyang by car.

Day Five: Luoyang
Morning visit to the Chariot and Horse Pits, the White Horse Temple honored as the 'Founder's Home' and the 'Cradle of Buddhism’. You will have a chance to appreciate the exciting Shaolin martial arts in Shaolin Temple in the afternoon. Transfer back to the hotel.

Day Six: Luoyang - Xian
Explore Longmen Caves, one of the three major caves in China. Ride a soft sleeper train to Xian in the afternoon. TCG guide will wait for you at the railway station ahead of train schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 2 nights stay.

Day Seven: Xian
Highlight morning excursion transfers you to visit the amazing Terracotta Soldiers Museum. This afternoon, visit the landmark of this city - Big Wild Goose Pagoda and have a bird’s view of this city in the City Wall.

Day Eight: Xian - Beijing
Have a whole day tour to witness historical collections listed in the Shaanxi History Museum and tour around the best-preserved Islamic Great Mosque. Fly to China’s capital city Beijing to appreciate its world heritages. TCG guide will wait for you at the airport ahead of flight schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 3 nights stay.

Day Nine: Beijing

Day Ten: Beijing
Stroll along the famous Tiananmen Square - the largest square in the world, and reach the Forbidden City. This afternoon, transfer to visit the Temple of Heaven.

Day Eleven: Beijing Exit
Bid farewell to the city after having a stay at the Summer Palace if time permitting. Private transfer takes you to the airport and your pleasant China tour ends here.

Travelled most part of Henan province, I like Kaifeng more than Luoyang or Jiaozuo or Xinxiang... Recommend the Kaifeng Culture Park for the visitors come to Kaifeng. This is something like a Chinese Renaissance festival, with acrobatics, magic show, puppets and traditional music etc. Also some more traditional events like a prospective bride on a balcony dropping flowers to the liked young man below, called choosing a groom. There were also overpriced souvenirs and food in the park. Both seemed to be of decent quality. Of course, you cannot miss the flavor food along the street in Kaifeng. Yummy....

I know it is very hard to get train tickets during the spring festival in China. Is there any way to get it? I asked several agency but they all suggest i change the travel time. I want to go to china and experience the chinese spring festival. Any good advice?? even paying some extra amount...
