Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily

Day One: Entry Beijing
TCG guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you at the Beijing Capital Airport according to your international (internal) flight schedule. Transfer to the 4-star hotel for 3 nights stay and relax for the rest of the day.

Day Two: Beijing
Stroll along the famous Tiananmen Square - the largest square in the world, and reach the Forbidden City. This afternoon, transfer to visit the Temple of Heaven.

Day Three: Beijing
Morning excursion transfers you to climb the China Great Wall - Badaling section. A spicy Sichuan cuisine lunch is served at a notable restaurant to recruit your physical energy. This afternoon, stroll across the Sacred Path to reach the Ming Tomb.

Day Four: Beijing - Datong
Bid farewell to this city after seeing the Summer Palace, the Lama Temple and the lovely Pandas in Beijing Zoo. After dinner, ride an overnight soft sleeper train to Datong.

Day Five: Datong
TCG guide will wait for you at the railway station ahead of the train schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 1 night stay. A nice breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a tour to the Shanhua Monastery, the Nine Dragons Screen and the amazing Hanging Monastery.

Day Six: Datong - Taiyuan
After breakfast, you will have an excursion to visit the Yungang Grottoes, one of the three major cave clusters in China. Ride a soft seat train to Taiyuan. TCG guide will wait for you at the railway station ahead of the train schedule and transfer you to the 3-star hotel for 2 nights stay.

Day Seven: Taiyuan
Have a half day tour to visit the Twin Pagoda Temple and the Chongshan Temple. Afternoon is at your own leisure.

Day Eight: Taiyuan - Pingyao
Drive to Pingyao, an ancient county typical of rural counties in North China. Highlight of this town include: the Qiao Family's compound, Shuanglin Monastery, the City Wall and the Ming - Qing Street. Stay at the local local guest house for 1 night.

Day Nine: Pingyao - Taiyuan - Xian
Continue to tour Pingyao by visiting the Ri Sheng Chang Exchange Shop, the Tongxinggong ancient bank safeguard and the Courtyard Residence. Take car return to Taiyuan. After dinner, ride an overnight soft sleeper train to Xian.

Day Ten: Xian
TCG guide will wait for you at the railway station ahead of the train schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 2 nights stay. A nice breakfast at the hotel will be followed by a city tour to the landmark of Xian - the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Afterwards continue to visit the Shaanxi History Museum.

Day Eleven: Xian
Highlight morning excursion transfers you to visit the amazing Terracotta Soldiers Museum. This afternoon, visit the Great Mosque and have the bird eye’s view of this city by visiting the City Wall.

Day Twelve: Xian - Kunming
Fly to Kunming, nicknamed City of Spring. TCG guide will wait for you at the airport ahead of the flight schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 1 night stay. Balance of the day take a visit to the Flowers and Birds Market and the Golden Palace.

Day Thirteen: Kunming - Lijiang
The full-day excursion today will bring you to the Stone Forest, a natural wonder known as "World Karst Landscape Museum". Fly to Lijiang, the world-known exceedingly fascinating and charming ancient town. Stay overnight at Lijiang for 2 nights.

Day Fourteen: Lijiang
The full-day excursion today will bring you to the Baisha Village and a local Naxi family, the Baisha Murals, the Rock Joseph's Former Residence in Yuhu Village. The afternoon is free at your own leisure in this unique old town.

Day Fifteen: Lijiang - Kunming - Guilin
Morning is at your leisure. You may take the last-minute shopping for souvenir. Fly to Kunming and connect a flight to Guilin by yourselves. TCG guide will wait for you at the airport ahead of the flight schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 1 night stay. The balance of the day is at your leisure.

Day Sixteen: Guilin - Yangshuo
Highlight cruise excursion along the Li River will take you to Yangshuo. Upon arrival, TCG guide will transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 1 night stay. Then stroll along the west street, have a short cycling trip around the village (electric car instead) and pay a visit to a villager’s home.

Tips: The cruise lunch may not be as good as your expectation, please be sure you are well fed this morning at the hotel.
 

Day Seventeen: Yangshuo - Guilin - Shanghai
Drive back to Guilin. Visit the Reed Flute Cave, the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Fubo Hill. Fly to the prosperous Shanghai to feel the fashionable atmosphere. TCG guide will wait for you at the airport ahead of the flight schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 2 nights stay.

Day Eighteen: Shanghai
A whole day excursion covers the Shanghai Museum, the Yuyuan Garden, the famous Bund area along the Huangpu River and a local family visit.

Day Nineteen: Shanghai - Suzhou
Ride a soft seat train to Suzhou. TCG guide will wait for you at the railway station ahead of the train schedule and transfer you to the 4-star hotel for 1 night stay. Take a fascinating sightseeing tour to the Humble Administrator's Garden, the largest and most distinguished one among all of the gardens. Surely you should not miss a tour to the Tiger Hill and the Garden of the Master of the Nets the rest of the day.

Day Twenty: Suzhou - Shanghai
This morning, ride a soft seat train back to Shanghai and be transferred to the hotel. The rest of day is left for you at leisure or you may go shopping on your own.

Day Twenty-one: Shanghai Exit
