Day 10Suzhou - Shanghai - Guilin

Drive to Shanghai airport. Take a flight to Guilin and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Reed Flute Cave.(B+L)

Descriptions: Reed Flute Cave - its name is derived from Ludi Cao (reed grass), which grows in front of the cave and is used to make flutes. As the grass covered the entrance of the cave, people of the area used this cave for many centuries as a hideout in times of war. The cave is really a natural wonder with an overwhelming abundance of speleothem and stalactite.

Day 11Guilin - Longsheng - Guilin

Drive to Longsheng. Visit the Longji Terraced Fields, the Villages of Zhuang Minority People and Yao Minority People and the Suspension Bridge in small size. Transfer back to Guilin.(B+L+D)

Day 12Guilin - Yangshuo

Enduring memories are created today as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival at Yangshuo. A short bicycle trip to the countryside will then be arranged. You will visit a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle there. Alternatively, you can take our electric car instead of taking bicycles.(B+L)

Tips: Lunch will be provided on the cruise today and since it may not meet your expectations, TCG suggests that you have a larger breakfast at the hotel.

Descriptions:
Li River - Pagoda Hill is a small hill with a hexagonal pagoda on its top. The hexagonal pagoda is called the Longevity Buddha Pagoda that can be dated back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In late fall, the hill is illuminated with red leaves. Many tourists are attracted by its unique shape of warship and the beautiful reflection of hill in Li River.

Day 13Yangshuo

We intend to leave the day free for you. You can find a tiny and enigmatic world with the breathtaking scenery and have a pot of tea in a sidewalk cafe feeling totally relaxed. You can rent a bicycle to visit the Moon Hill and the Big Banian Tree.(B)

Tips: The natural scenery makes Yangshuo an alluring resort. It attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists each year. The nightlife out on your own in the West Street is a continuation of the daytime pleasure. The West Street is teeming with the exotic flavor, because many foreigners came here for a romantic getaway. It is a really global village as the first foreigner street in China can attest to. The street abounds with the pubs and bars, souvenir shops, the hostels and the restaurants. You never feel lonely here.

Day 14Yangshuo - Guilin - Guangzhou

Transfer back to Guilin. Visit the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Fubo Hill. Take a flight to Guangzhou and transfer to the hotel.(B+L)

Descriptions:
Elephant Trunk Hill - The Elephant Trunk Hill is a national scenic spot with a level of 4A. It's located on the Binjiang Road, Guilin City, just at the junction of the Peach Flower River and the Li River. Dating from the Tang and Song dynasties, it has been a very famous attraction.

Day 15Guangzhou - Hong Kong

Visit Dr. Sun Yatsen's Memorial Hall, the Five-Ram Statue, Chen Family Temple, the Qingping Market and the Shamian Island. Take an express train to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, please go to the hotel we have booked for you by yourselves.(B+L)

Descriptions:
Hong Kong - The culture of Hong Kong was born in a sophisticated fusion of the east and the west. On one hand, it keeps many Chinese traditions; on the other hand, it has experienced a baptism of western culture. This situation led to the diversity of Hong Kong's culture.

Most people prefer to visit Hong Kong during the Christmas to feel the festive atmosphere. Please book the ticket and hotel a little bit earlier, since all are in great demand at that time.

1. Not really. Chinese people are all very nice and they will be kind to help.

We travel in the summer of 2010 to China.
We are a family of two adults and two children from 2 to 7 years.
Are there any discount for children in private tour?
It is possible to have guides who speak Spanish?
Thanks.

Oct. 25,2009 20:01
Mr.Barranco(Span) replied:

Yes, the children can enjoy a more preferential price. But the Spanish guides are still very rare in China. Except Beijing, Shanghai and Hongkong, Spanish guides are hardly available.

A great vacation to Tainshan is coming soon for us. We tentatively expect that we would stay the first night in Taian, the second night at the top of Taishan, and the third night in Qufu ... but are open to suggestions!

Aug. 27,2009 03:57
Ms.Rebecca replied:

The hotel conditions and facilities at the top of Mt. Tai is not very good, so you are not suggest you stay overnight on the mountain.

Which is better, Shentian Hotel or Shenqi Hotel on the Mt. Tai

Jul. 28,2009 03:36
Ms.Kina replied:

Probably the Shenqi Hotel is the best hotel on the top of the Mt. Tai. Still it could not be compared with the 3 star hotels in Tai’an city.

Someone suggest us to take the overnigth soft sleeper train from Guilin to Guangzhou (so we can sleep in the train instead of the hotel in Guangzgou) The station is nearer the hotel , isn''t it? Question: from the hotel of Guilin to the train station of Guilin, is a taxi fine? Same question with the train station of Guangzhou till the hotel?

May. 6,2009 06:43
Nicole replied:

The train stations in both Guilin and Guangzhou are not far away from the city center. It is very convenient for you to take a taxi to the hotels. Normally, it takes around 15min./ CNY10.00 net for one way from Guilin train station to hotels in city center. And it takes around 10min./CNY25.00 net for one way from Guangzhou train station to hotels in the city center.

Queli street, one block west of Queli Hotel, southwest of Confucian Mansion is the place in Qufu where you could find night markets for local flavor foods. There are only a few night markets in Qufu, also relatively small in comparision to Xian, Beijing or other mainstream cities. The spiced hot dogs are great and easily for all with even the most critical palates. They also have seasoned skewers/kabobs with beef/lamb and almost everything else. Also, they have bread grilled with some seasonings, some filled with meat stuffing, some plain. Everything was good! What''s more, the price is dreadly cheap. Less than $10 could feed you very well.

Apr. 2006, Guangzhou. The taxi drivers the ones with official taxi logos are ok. However, take care with those drivers with cars offered in the hotel or fairs. They are very unprofessional and can drive you crazy with their behavior (smoke crazily, sets teh radio at high volume ).
