Day 01Arrival in Beijing

Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Beijing Airport and transfer you to hotel. The rest day is free.

Tips: If your international flight lands in Beijing in the morning and you have no difficulty in recovering from the jet lag, it is our recommendation that you pay a visit to the Beihai Park on your own. It is one of the oldest and largest gardens in best preservation in the center of Beijing. You will be deeply impressed by the picturesque scenery as well as the solemn religious constructions. The admission fee is CNY10.00 during high season and CNY5.00 during low season. It is not far away from your hotel. You could take a taxi there.

Day 02Beijing

Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.(B+L+D)

Day 03Beijing

Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to have Sichuan food at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance. (B+L, D is included for luxury series)

Differences
Luxury Series: we arrange an a la carte dinner at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area.
Standard Series: Dinner is on your own. You may ask for some suggestions from your local guide.

Day 04Beijing - Chengdu - Jiuzhaigou

Visit the Summer Palace. Take a flight to Chengdu and then please connect the flight from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou on your own.(B+L+D)

Day 05Jiuzhaigou

Full day tour to Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spots to visit the Multi-coloured Lake, Nuorilong Fall, Long Lake and the Pearl Beach.(B+L+D)

Tips: The weather in Jiuzhaigou is as changeable as a baby's temperament. It is usually sunny at this moment and rainy the next, so it is wise for you to take an umbrella or raincoat along with you. The waterproof clothes will also keep you warm. In spring, the average temperature ranges from 6 to 12 degrees centigrade, and the temperature varies greatly between day and night. You may wear a T-shirt in the daytime and an overcoat in the morning and evening. In summer, the average temperature is from 13 to 21 degrees centigrade. The sunlight is pretty strong in the day, thus sunblock, sunglasses and plenty of shade are essential for you to keep away from getting a sunburn. It is the rainy season in autumn. The temperature differs greatly in the day. It is bright and sunny when it clears up. This fruitful season is the best time to come to Jiuzhaigou. Though it is cold in winter with the temperature of more or less 0 degrees centigrade, the charm and enchantment of Jiuzhaigou never fades. You will see a purely white world when it is covered by snow - beautiful!

Day 06Jiuzhaigou - Huanglong - Chengdu

Transfer to Huanglong Scenic Area. Visit the Huanglong Monastery and the Multi-coloured Pools with hundreds of steps. Take a flight to Chengdu and transfer to the hotel.(B+L)

Tips: If you are fond of spicy food, Chengdu is the right place for you. The excellent Sichuan cuisine originates here. There is a wide selection of barbequed food, such as roasted meat, grilled vegetables, grilled steamed bun, etc. The Sichuan hotpot is also very popular among Chinese people. It is the first choice for a number of friends dining together. Alternatively, it is quite enjoyable to taste the local noodles or special dishes. If those can't arouse your appetite, you may ask your guide for some good advice. The western food is also available here.

Day 07Chengdu - Leshan - Mt. Emei

Visit the Chengdu Panda Base. Take car to Leshan Mountain. Visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, the biggest carvings in the world. Transfer to Emei and check in at the hotel.(B+L+D)

Day 08Mt. Emei - Chengdu

Visit the Baoguo Temple and the Wannian Temple on Mt. Emei. Transfer back to Chengdu.  (B+L)

Minority group in Lijiang

Day 09Chengdu - Lijiang

Take a flight to Lijiang and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Square Street of Lijiang Old Town. The rest of day is free for you to explore the town. You can wander through the beautiful town and have dinner in the town by yourselves.(B+L)

Day 10Lijiang

Visit the Baishui Tableland, the Dry Sea, take the cable car to Spruce Plateau and overlook the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, visit the Baisha Village and a local Naxi family, the Baisha Murals, the Rock Joseph's Former Residence in Yuhu Village. Enjoy the Naxi Ancient Music and Dance Performance at Dongba Palace.(B+L+D)

Day 11Lijiang - Dali

It takes about three hours' driving to Dali and transfer to the hotel. On the way to Dali, visit the Bai Traditional House in Xizhou and Zhoucheng, famous for tie dyeing.(B+L)

Three Pagodas, Dali, Yunnan

Day 12Dali - Kunming

Visit the Erhai Lake Park, the Three Pagoda Temple and the Dali Old Town. Take a flight to Kunming and transfer to the hotel.(B+L)

Tips: When you visit the Temple, please keep it in mind that you shouldn't step on the threshold of the gate. What's more, try to avoid standing right ahead of the pagoda while you are taking photos because it is superstitious thought that a human suppresses the pagoda in that way. When touring the pagoda, you will see the Juying Lake where the inverted reflections of the three pagodas assemble together clearly and symmetrically. It is the most beautiful place to take photos. You will also find the differences of the local costumes in each city in Yunnan province though many prefer to dress like Han people. Yunnan is a multinational province. Lijiang is mainly populated by Naxi people, Dali is full of Bai people, and Kunming has a lot of Yi minorities. Your guide will let you know more about their customs, history and beautiful legends.

Day 13Kunming

Full day tour to visit the Stone Forest, the Golden Temple and the Flowers and Birds Market.(B+L)

Day 14Kunming

See you off at the airport - your wonderful tour of China has come to an end!(B)
