Temple of Heaven, Beijing

Day 01Arrival in Beijing

Our guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area at Beijing Airport and transfer you to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Tips: Just 5 minutes' walk outside Crowne Plaza Hotel, you can reach the snack street in the Wangfujing area, where there are a diversity of Chinese local food on offer, like Wonton stuffed with the chicken, smelly bean curd, barbeque, rice noodles, chow mein and so on. Most are cooked with good taste, and you can be fed well with little money. Be aware of the sanitation when you taste the delicacies on your own. It is better for you to take a small amount of cash when you wander around the crowded street in case of pick pockets.

Day 02Beijing

Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.(B+L+D)


Great Wall, Beijing

Day 03Beijing

Visit the Badaling Great Wall. Lunch of Sichuan food will be at a local popular restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way, the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. On the way back to downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance. (B+L, D is included for luxury series)

Differences:
Luxury series: We will arrange an a la carte dinner of Cantonese cuisine at a nice restaurant at Wangfujing Street.
Standard series: We will leave the dinner on your side. You can sample the local food for dinner on your own, or ask your guide for some suggestions.

Day 04Beijing - Xian

Visit the Summer Palace and the Lama Temple. Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel. (B+L, D is included for luxury series.)

Differences:
Luxury series: We will reserve you a sumptuous buffet dinner at your hotel upon your arrival in Xian.
Standard series: The dinner today will be left on your side. It's easy for you to find a good restaurant for dinner around your hotel.

Day 05Xian

Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall.(B+L+D)

Differences: 
Luxury series: we will arrange the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show at the splendid Tang Dynasty Palace (Address: No.75 Chang'an Road, Xian).
Standard series: We will arrange the local speciality Dumpling Banquet and Tang Dynasty Dance and Music Show at Shaanxi Opera Theater. (Address: No. 165, Wenyi Road, Xian)   
 
Tips: As a matter of fact, most of the clients feel like spending the evening outside the hotel. It sounds a good idea to go to Shu Yuan Gate for a short visit on your own. It is quite near to the South Gate where there are a great variety of featured articles for sale, just like writing brushes, calligraphic works, paintings, chopsticks, jade exploited in Lantian County near Xian etc. It is such a place that you can see the vernacular aspect of Xian. It takes about 5 minutes' ride from Hyatt Regency Hotel by taxi and costs 6-8 Yuan, while about 10 minutes from Grand New World Hotel and costs 8-10 Yuan.

Day 06Xian - Guiyang

Visit the Great Mosque and a local family. After lunch at a local famous restaurant, take a flight to Guiyang and transfer to the hotel.(B+L)

Tips: Sheraton Guiyang Hotel is just situated in the business district of the city. It is equipped with the indoor heated pool, so you can have a swim as you like. As an option, you can pay a short visit to the Jia Xiu pavilion nearby on your own, if your flight lands in Guiyang early. The pavilion sits on a massive rock at the Nanming River in Guiyang. Jiaxiu is a Chinese term meaning the finest and best under heaven. Litterateur and the educated used to gather there to show their talent and broaden their view by learning from each other. There collect numerous calligraphic works, paintings, a pair of couplets with up to 206 characters as well as the stone carvings.


Qingyan Old Town, Guiyang

Day 07Guiyang - Kaili

Visit the Qingyan Old Town. Drive to Kaili and check in at the hotel. After lunch, visit the traditional way of paper-making and a Long-skirt Miao Village. You will experience the Miao people' daily life by visiting the local families. Meanwhile, you can appreciate the Miao people's typical architecture - Wooden Stilt House.(B+L)

Day 08Kaili - Rongjiang

Visit another Long-skirt Miao Village. Then drive to a village nearby to see the pottery-making. En route, explore a Shui People's Village located in a deep valley. Late afternoon, arrive at Rongjiang and stay at the local best hotel.(B+L+D)

Tips: Guizhou is a province with multiple minority groups. It is the highlight to visit those villages and appreciate the specific cultures. Most of the minority people are good singers and dancers. The melody ranges from loud and sonorous to lyric. The dance poise varies gracefully as the rhythm changes. Though the comfort and luxury is not up to your standard, you will enjoy more than you expect.
