Day 01Arrival in Guiyang

Our professional tour guide will meet you outside the baggage claim area of Guiyang Airport and then escort you to check in the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 02Guiyang - Kaili

Your first stop in Guiyang is Qingyan Ancient Town, one of the four most famous ancient towns in Guizhou. Although small in size, the town has a well-planned architectural layout and boasts hundreds of sites of relics and an influential local culture. Then, you will proceed to Kaili and check in the best local hotel. After lunch, go ahead to appreciate the traditional way of paper-making in a local Miao village. You will see how the bark turned into paper amazingly after 72 processing steps. Later, tour to Qingman Long-Skirt Miao Village, where you could experience the Miao people's daily lives by visiting the local family and appreciate their typical architecture - Wooden Stilt House.

Day 03Kaili - Rongjiang

The tour today will focus on the Miao villages. Firstly, you will explore Jidao Long-skirt Miao Village, a branch of the Miao minority women of which do wear long-skirts. Being rich in ethnic minority flavor, the village also has some well-preserved simple constructions like the time-honored granaries and stone-paved streets. Then, continue the trip to Datang Short-skirt Miao Village, where women have worn a kind of traditional short-skirt for 500 years. Another highlight in this village is the granary built over a pond with the multi-function of fire-proofing, rat-proofing and ant-proofing. Late in the afternoon, you will arrive at Rongjiang and check in the best local hotel.

Day 04Rongjiang - Congjiang - Zhaoxing

You will travel to Basha Miao Village, which is reputed as the 'Last Gunmen's Tribe in China', for almost all the adult male villagers have a blunderbuss for hunting. Besides, the male villagers' distinctive hair dresses are known as the existing most ancient style in China. After that, visit Gaozeng Dong People's Village, an ancient village with a history of more than 600 years which is known as the 'Home of the Beauties'. The village is also famous for the three Drum Towers and local folk songs. In the afternoon, you will reach Zhaoxing and visit the largest Dong People's Village in Qiandongnan area. You will also find many Wooden Stilt Houses standing one by one as well as charming Drum Towers in the village. Tonight, you will stay at the best local hotel in Zhaoxing.

Day 05Zhaoxing - Sanjiang - Longsheng

The morning excursion will take you to Tang'an Dong People's Village, noted as the first ecological museum of Dong people. Almost every Dong People's village has a drum tower and Tang'an is no exception. The seven-storey Drum Tower not only serves as a place for meeting and gathering, but also a spiritual home of the villagers. The other most attractive sites in the village are a performing stage, a well and the terraced fields. Then, we will take you to Sanjiang to visit Chengyang Wind and Rain Bridge and explore the nearby Dong People's villages. The Wind and Rain Bridge is a wonder of Dong minority. Rather than a bridge, it is a combination of bridge, corridor and pavilion where passers-by could shelter themselves from wind and rain. Late in the afternoon, you will arrive at Longsheng and check in the best local hotel.

Day 06Longsheng - Guilin

The must of Longsheng is the spectacular Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces, where you will see an amazing picture of the terraces stretching layer upon layer, coiling around from the base of the mountain to its summit. In this case, the smaller mountains here look like conchs while the bigger ones resemble towers. After that, you will visit the Yao People's Village. Since you have visited several Miao and Dong People's villages, you may notice how the Yao People's residences, clothes, customs are different from the former ones. Late afternoon, we will transfer you Guilin to check in the hotel.

Day 07Guilin - Yangshuo - Guilin

Enduring memories will be created today as you cruise down Li River to Yangshuo. The cruise will unveil an idyllic picture in front of you, consisting of cragged peaks with fleecy white clouds hovering around their summits, water buffalo wandering about on the green fields and children playing around on the ridges. Upon your arrival in Yangshuo, a short bicycle trip to the countryside will be arranged for you to appreciate the picturesque scenery at close quarters. On the way, stop off at a local villager's home to experience the farmer's lifestyle. Alternatively, we will transfer you there instead of riding bicycles. When the tour in Yangshuo ends, you will be transferred back to Guilin. Tips: We regret to inform you that the lunch provided by the cruise is limited and does not meet the serving standards that TravelChinaGuide aims to ensure. Therefore, we recommend that you consider having a larger breakfast at the hotel this morning.

Day 08Departure from Guilin

The tour in Guilin will cover the Reed Flute Cave, the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Seven Star Park. After the sightseeing tour in Guilin, our guide will transfer you to the airport, help you handle the boarding card and then say farewell. If you wish to stay on in China, please contact your travel consultants for an extension tour.
