Hi, We are a US citizens going to Philippines in Feb.2010 for a month long vacation.we are planning to go to China for 5 days during our vacation in Philippines.where do we apply for China visa? what place is more favorable for a first time tourist Shanghai or Beijing?.What's the climate in February. Hope to hear from you.
Sep. 30,2009 02:49 Ms.Anne replied:
You can apply the China visa either in your country or in Philippine. Both are ok. It depends on where is convenient for you. Since it is your first time to China, Beijing endowed with many highlight tourist resources is highly recommended. The climate there in Feb is a little bit cold and windy, you need to wear suitable clothes to keep warm.
How about the flue in China recently? Please advise if the procedures at China's international airports will effect our China tour.
Sep. 24,2009 22:08 Ms.Kina L. replied:
Actually, it only takes short time for the security check at the airport. They mainly do a test to confirm you are in a normal body temperature. It will not influence your tour. Please rest assured.
Generally speaking, Visa Cards are acceptable at large hotels and shopping centers in some metropolis. You can also withdraw money (Chinese Yuan) from ATM machines of Bank of China. Please kindly note that cash is more popular in China than in many Western countries, so it is important to carry enough cash and change at all times for your petty expenditure.
What formal wear are we required to bring for this trip?? Do we need a suit or blazer??Are there any dress requirements for the cruise/hotel/planned tour restaurants?
Sep. 15,2009 04:44 Mr.Jacob replied:
You may wear whatever you feel comfortable during the tour. There is no strict rule, but it would be nice if you wear a little formal for the Captain's Welcome party on the cruise ship or some shows.
