Three of my friends and I took a trip to Urumqi and Kashgar this October organized by the travel agency. Have read lots of beautiful description on the guide book, we had high expectations on this journey. However, when we took our trip there, it turned out really disappointing, especially the whole day tour to the Heavenly Lake, not as wonderful as we expected. For the tour in Kashgar, the local guide took us to the carpet factory though this item was not included in the itinerary the travel agency offered us. Out of our expectation, we spent little time there and the guide strongly persuaded us to buy some beautiful silk and some other handcrafts. Anyway this tour was not memorable as we thought before.
