5 Days of Yining - Zhaosu County - Xiata County - Tekesi Eight Trigram County

 
Description: Starting from Chang'an (now is called Xian), passing through Gansu, Xinjiang, central and west Asia, and combing the land passages of many countris in Mediterranean area, the silk road which is shaped in Western Han Dynasty is very famous in Chinese history. Now let's explore the magnificent area to explore its unique beauty.
 
On the first day of your arrival in Yining, you can take a bus to visit the street of the Han people. The No. 1, 5, 6, 10, 12, 15 and No. 101 buses can get there directly. People who get to that street for the first time will be very puzzled and feel quite strange, because they can hardly see any persons of the Han people there. What they see are persons of many different kinds of minorities. Wondering in that street, people will lose themselves among the delicate handicrafts, the colourful traditional clothes, the special snacks and so on. After having a stay in the street, go ahead to visit the Yili River Bridge. It is situated at the south of Yining and is about 5 kilometers away from the city area. On the second day, take a bus to get to Zhaosu county. The tickets can be bought at Yili Area Passenger Transportation Center (Add: 127 Jiefang Road, Yining; Tel: 0999-8024121). From 8:50 in the morning to 16:50 in the afternoon, the buses run in every 20 minutes. Upon arrival in Zhaosu county which is surrounded by mountains, go and have a look at of the dreamful rape flower sea. 
 
On the third day, charter a car to go to Xiata countryside. Pay a visit to the Xiata Grand Canyon. At here, you will find that it is very difficult to move forward quickly. It is not the poor road situation but the charming and breathtaking scenery that stopping your steeps. The beautiful and rustic nature scene without being affected just a little by human there will make people feel that they are walking in a worldly paradise. Return to Zhaosu in the afternoon.
 
On the fourth day, go ahead to the Tekesi Eight Trigram County. This county is famous for its radial circle layout which looks like a labyrinth. It is the biggest and the most well preserved eight trigram county in the world. And also it is a place where the I ching culture is widely known. There is a strange thing in this county. That is no traffic lights can be seen here. No matter which direction you choose to head for , you can reach your destinations at last because the roads are closely linked to each other. Find a local hotel to spend the night there. 
 
On the fifth day, charter a car to set off for the Kalajun high mountain meadow. It is at a distance of 58 kilometers in the south of the Takesi county and takes up an area of nearly 3000 square kilometers. Please be noted that the road condition is not satisfactory. You have to take the well-behaved off-road motor cycle. And be surely to take the raincoats, ready-to-eat prodcts and warm clothes with you. Althout it is not easy to get there, but the moubtain meadow is really a beautiful place deserving to see. Get back to Tekesi in the afternoon. Leave there per your schedule.
