The itinerary starts from Beijing, an international metropolis, which serves as the political, economic, travel, cultural and transportation center of the country. Xian, the world-famous tourist city, is a treasure house and huge museum of culture relics. The train trip from Lhasa to Lanzhou provides an opportunity to experience the newly-built Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the breathtaking sceneries along the train ride. The coverall trip will show the mystical Tibet in all aspects.

Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Our guide will pick you up at Beijing airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is on your own to explore the city.

Day 02: Beijing
Visit the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven. The Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre. (B+L+D)

Day 03: Beijing
Visit the Badaling Great Wall. To avoid having lunch at shopping site restaurants, you will be driven to a popular Sichuan food restaurant. Visit the Sacred Way and the Ming Tomb in the afternoon. The a la carte dinner is served at a famous Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Wangfujing area. (B+L+D)

Day 04: Beijing - Xian
Visit the Summer Palace and the lovely pandas in Beijing Zoo. Take a flight to Xian and transfer to the hotel.  A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served for you at the hotel this evening. (B+L+D)

Day 05: Xian
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum. To avoid having the poor food at the site, you will take highway back to downtown to have lunch at a well-known Cantonese cuisine. In the afternoon, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the City Wall. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Dinner Show in Tang Dynasty Palace. Day 06: Xian
Visit the Provincial History Museum. After enjoying the a la carte lunch at a local famous restaurant, visit the Great Mosque and a local family. (B+L)

Day 07: Xian - Lhasa
Visit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. Take a flight to Lhasa where the altitude is 3,650 meters above sea level. Transfer to the finest hotel in Lhasa and acclimatize yourself to the high altitude in the afternoon. The a la carte dinner will be arranged for you at a local best Sichuan cuisine restaurant. (B+D)

Day 08: Lhasa
Visit the magnificent Potala Palace. After a western-style lunch, visit the Sera Monastery, the Norbulingka Park and a Tibetan family. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 09: Lhasa
Visit the Jokhang Temple and  the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street. After having a western-style lunch, go ahead to visit the Tibet Museum, the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital and the Carpet Factory. Dinner is served at your hotel. (B+L+D)

Day 10: Lhasa - Lanzhou
After having breakfast at the hotel, take an overnight soft sleeper train to Lanzhou. Lunch and dinner are on your own. (B)

Day 11: Lanzhou
Arrive in Lanzhou in the early afternoon. Pick you up at Lanzhou railway station and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Waterwheel Garden and the Gansu Provincial Museum if time permits. Full board are on your own.

Day 12: Lanzhou - Chongqing
Visit the Binglingsi Grottoes. Take a flight to Chongqing. After having a rich buffet dinner at 4-star hotel, Holiday Inn Yangtze, check in at the deluxe German-made cruise ship to stay overnight. (B+L+D)

Day 13: Chongqing - Fengdu
At 08:00 am your memorable Yangtze River tour begins. In the afternoon visit the Ghost City of Fengdu. (B+L+D)


Day 14: Badong - Xiling Gorge - Sandouping
Visit Badong and take a small junk to enjoy the marvelous spectacles of the nature in the Shennong Stream. Continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge. Pass the five-step ship lock. (B+L+D)


Day 15: Sandouping
Visit the site of Three Gorges Dam Project. (B+L+D)

Day 16: Wuhan - Shanghai
At 12:00 arrive in Wuhan. Visit Hubei Provincial Museum. After having lunch at a local famous restaurant, take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel. (B+L)

Day 17: Shanghai
Visit the Shanghai Museum and the Yuyuan Garden. After lunch, take a cruise tour on the Huangpu River. The Farewell Dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to serve Shanghai Cuisine. The memorable dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. (B+L+D)
