Day by Day Itinerary
Departure: Daily
Day 01: Arrival in Lhasa
Arrive in Lhasa and get prepared. Stay overnight at the local hotel.
Day 02: Lhasa - Tsetang
Drive to Tsetang. Take a city tour to visit Yumbulhakang, Traduk Monastery (Gangzhu Monastery) and Chonggye Monastery.
Day 03: Tsetang - Lanxian
Transfer to Lanxian. En route, enjoy the views of Yaluzangbu River.
Day 04: Lanxian - Milin
Drive to Milin. On the way, enjoy the views of the Tibetan pastoral area.
Day 05: Milin - Bayi - Pailong
Drive to Pailong via Bayi. En route, visit Tibetan villages of Eastern Tibet.
Day 06: Pailong - Brana Putra Gorge
Take the full day to trek in the world's biggest gorge - Brana Putra Gorge, enjoying the magnificent view of the grand gorge.
Day 07: Brana Putra Gorge
Go on trekking in the Brana Putra Gorge.
Day 08: Brana Putra Gorge - Pailong -Bayi
Drive to Bayi through the virgin forests of the eastern Tibet, enjoying the views of the virgin forests on the way.
Day 09: Bayi - Pasongtso Lake
Drive to Pasongtso Lake. Hike around the Pasongtso Lake and visit Cuogao Monastery. En route, overlook the splendid snow peaks.
Day 10: Pasongtso Lake - Lhasa
Drive through Mila Mountain to Lhasa. On the way, enjoy the pastoral views of eastern Tibet.
Day 11: Departure from Lhasa
Leave Lhasa according to your schedule.

Day 02: Lhasa - Tsetang
Drive to Tsetang and pay a visit to Yumbulhakang. Then go on to visit Traduk Monastery (Gangzhu Monastery). Afterwards, visit Chonggye Monastery.
Day 03: Tsetang - Baijin Village
Transfer to Baijin Village. En route, enjoy hot spring and grasslands of the high plateau.
Day 04: Baijin Village - Qiongguojie Town
Trek half of the way from Baijin Village to Qiongguojie Town. On the way, sightsee beautiful natural views and pay a visit to Qusan Monastery.
Day 05: Baijin Village - Qiongguojie Town
Go on to trek to Qionguojie Town. On the way, sightsee beautiful natural views and pay a visit to Qulong Monastery.
Day 06: Qiongguojie Town - Lake Watching Stage - Baijin Village
Trek to the Lake Watching Stage to overlook the Sacred Lake. En route, enjoy the splendid view. Then retrace back to Baijin Village.
Day 07: Baijin Village - Tsetang
Drive back to Tsetang and pay a visit to Dabuzhacan Monastery and Lajiali King's Mansion.
Day 08: Departure from Tsetang

Day by Day Itinerary
Departure: Daily
Day 01: Arrive in Lhasa
Arrive in Lhasa and get prepared. Stay overnight at the local hotel.
Day 02: Lhasa - Tsetang
In the morning drive 200 kilometers to Tsetang. In terms of geography, the fertile valleys of Yarlung and Chongye here are appropriate for development of Tibetan civilization; there were once numerous temples, shrines and stupas in this area. Besides, Chonggye is the birthplace of the 5th Dalai Lama (1617-1682).
Day 03: Tsetang
Visit Samye 40 kilometers west to Tsetang. Located in the north of Yarlung Tsangpo River and hold in the arms of mountains, it is the oldest monastery of Tibet (8th century). After lunch make a trip in the Yarlung Valley to visit the Yumbulakhang, a castle built in the 7th and 8th centuries during the time of the first Tibetan kings. It is far viewed that the castle is high on the rock hills and looks brightly white. The original fortress is now converted into a chapel; in the ground floor there is a shrine in honor of the early kings. The steps up are steep but it is worthy because on the top of the hill you can far view the valley and the surrounding mountain.
Day 04: Tsetang - Sangri - Woka
In the morning drive about 40 kilometers to Sangri via Tsetang Bridge. On the way visit the remains of the Densatil Monastery located on the Phagdru Mountain, which is the ancestor temple of the Phagdru Kagyu, the most influential one of the four main sub-branches of the Kagyu Sect. Rooted on this monastery, the Phagdru regime came into being in the history of the Tibet. The mountain is beautiful and steep, covered with various trees and flowers. After lunch at Sangri, drive downhill to Woka Waterpower Station (shooting forbidden). And then drive uphill for about 20 km and reach Woka Village (3800 meters). Stay overnight in tent.
Day 05: Woka - Qulong Village
Hike on the winding mountain path through small valleys. After Qulong Temple, hike about 30 minutes to reach Qulong Village and visit Qusang Temple, where Tsongkhapa once stayed to spreading Buddhist teachings of Gelug Sect. Stay overnight in tent.
Day 06: Qulong Village - Nayu Valley
Get up in the early morning to watch the sunrise appearing from the summit of the 5400meter-Gyeluo La Snow Mountain. Afterward, begin trekking along the chattering brook. Clumps of azalea tree grow everywhere. So quiet the world that you feel just out of the world. Set up camp at Nayu Valley.
Day 07: Nayu Valley
Start trekking from Nayu Valley, uphill first and then downhill along the mountain ridge. The slope is somewhat gentle all the way. Set up camp near the village in the lower reaches of the Dagu valley. Stay overnight in tent.
Day 08: Nayu Valley - Lhamo Latso Lake
Trek downhill and reach the Lhamo Latso Lake (4900 meters) along the valley. Surrounded by high mountains, the hoof-shaped lake cavers an area of about 2 square kilometers. Having so great a faith in its magic predicting capability, the Tibetan eminent monks would go to the lake for observing and finding omens for the recognition of every reincarnated holy boy of the Dalai Lamas and Panchen Lamas of all generations. While numerous believers regard it as the treasure mirror, which is able to reveal their fates. Highlighted with the now peaks, azaleas and the remains of the old temple, the sceneries around the lake are very beautiful. Stay overnight in tent.
Day 09: Lhamo Latso Lake - Chokorgye - Cuijiu
Pass by Chokorgye Temple and trek downhill about 24 kilometers to Cuijiu (4300 meters) for 8 hours. stay overnight in tent.
Day 10: Cuijiu - Gyatsa - Tsetang
On the way visit the relic site of the Mansion of Lhagyari situated in Chusum County. It was originally built in 13th century and symbolizes the local ruling privilege of the descends of the Tobo Kingdom through the Sakya and Phagdru regimes. In the late afternoon reach Tsetang (3500 meters) the 'Playground of Monkeys' in legend.
Day 11: Departure from Tsetang
