Day by Day Itinerary

Departure: Daily

Day One: Entry Urumqi
TCG guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you at the Urumqi Airport according to your international (internal) flight schedule. Transfer to the 4-star hotel for 1 night stay and relax for the rest of the day.

Hotel: Xinjiang Grand Hotel (4 star)  - former Holiday Inn Hotel
 

Day Two: Urumqi - Korla
Your in-depth Silk Road trip commence by driving to Korla. Visit the Tiemen Pass (Iron Gate) as part of an arduous section of the Silk Road. Stay overnight at the local 4-star hotel.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Day Three: Korla - Kuqa
Drive to Kuqa. See the Subashi Ruins located 23 kilometers (about 14 miles) northwest of Kuqa. Stay overnight at the local 3-star hotel.

Day Four: Kuqa - Aksu
Visit the Kizil Thousand-Buddha Caves, the earliest Buddhist art treasure trove in China, even one century earlier than the famous Mogao Grottoes. Proceed to Aksu and stay overnight at local hotel.

Day Five: Aksu - Kashgar
Private transfer takes you to Kashgar and check in the local best hotel for 2 nights stay.

Day Six: Kashgar
Take a change to experience the local lively and flourishing Sunday Market. Visit the biggest Mosque in China Id Kah Mosque and the Abakh Khoja Tomb known as the Tomb of Xiang Fei in China.

Day Seven: Kashgar - Hetian
Transfer to Hetian. Have a visit to the Yarkant King Mausoleum and the Yingisar Uigur Knife Making. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day Eight: Hetian - Minfeng
Visit the Silk Village, hundred years' old walnut tree and see Paper Making. On the way to Minfeng, you will also have a chance to see a local bazaar in Yutian city. Stay overnight at the local best guest house in Minfeng for 1 night.

Day Nine: Minfeng - Korla
After the breakfast, continue driving to Korla along the longest sand road in the world through the Taklamakan Desert and enjoy the scenery of sand dune. Stay for 1 night at the local 4-star hotel.

Day Ten: Korla - Turpan
Depart for Turpan by car. You will enjoy the Gobi scenery on the way. Stay two nigh in Turpan at the 4-star hotel to recover from fatigue.

Day Eleven: Turpan
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to visit the Gaochang Ruins standing in the desolate Gebi desert, the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave and the Flaming Mountain.

Day Twelve: Turpan - Urumqi
Today begins by visiting the Jiaohe Ruins witnessed the long history of Turpan, the notable 'underground Great Wall' Karez System and the largest extant Islamic tower Sugong Pagoda (Emin Minaret). Return to Urumqi by driving and stay overnight at the local 4-star hotel.

Day Thirteen: Urumqi Exit
The tour ends upon hotel check-out. A complimentary transfer to the airport is provided.
