How to Travel between Fenghuang and Guilin

There is no direct flight between Fenghuang County and Guilin. Flight transit is not recommended due to the long duration of 18 hours. Passengers can take a direct bus to Huaihua South Railway Station and catch a direct bullet train there to Guilin which take less than CNY300, or take bullet trains with a transfer in Changsha which takes about 5.5-7.5 hours and costs no more than CNY400 for a second class seat.

How to Travel from Fenghuang to Guilin

1. Transfer at Changsha South Railway Station: 5.5 – 7.5 hours, CNY 373.5 / 379 / 381.5

2. Economic Fenghuang - Huaihua Bus + Huaihua - Guilin Bullet Train: 9h; CNY 281

Step 1: Fenghuang - Huaihua Bus
Fenghuang Bus Terminal Station operates buses to Huaihua South Railway Station which depart at 09:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 15:30. The bus journey takes about 1.5 hours and CNY 50. The bus at 11:30 is the best departure for you to connect up the following D3965 train at 15:12.

Fenghuang to Guilin on June 24th or June 25th

Hi, I need a transfer for 2 persons and am a bit lost because I can neither find a train nor a bus. Could you help, please? Maybe I can catch a taxi in Fenghuang if it is not much more than 1000 CNY? Thanks in advance for your help.

No direct flight, train or bus from Fenghuang to Guilin and taxi is not available due to the long distance. You need a train transfer in Changsha. The total travel time will be about 5.5-7h.
Recommended train transfer:
G687 departing at 11:34 from Fenghuanggucheng to Changsha South, G93 at 14:29 from Changsha South to Guilin, arrive in Guilin at 17:04

Is there really a direct bus from Fenghuang to Guilin?

I can't find updated information, does the direct bus really still exist? And if so, is there a website where you can see schedules, stations and prices? Thank you so much

Direct flight from Fenghuang to Guilin

Hello,

I searched online but I do not find a flight from Fenghuang to Guilin, is there still one? If not, is the best way to travel by bus? Where can I see online the bus schedule and buy the bus tickets?

As I know, there is no direct flight available now. I cannot find the bus schedule online, either. Anyway, you can take a high speed train from Fenghuang to Guilin and make a transfer at Changsha or Hengyang.

Best travel route Fenghuang to Guilin or vice versa

We are arriving from London in Beijing and going home from Shanghai.
Is it better to fly back to Shanghai from Guilin or Fenghuang? We can travel either from Chengdu -> Fenghuang -> Guilin -> Shanghai OR Chengdu -> Guilin -> Fenghuang -> Shanghai.
We are China first timers so any expert help would be most welcome! :-) Simon & Karyna

The latter is better because high speed train is available from Chengdu to Guilin and then Guilin to Fenghuang.

Fenghuang to Guilin

Hi!!
I was reading online Q&A and i realize that there isn´t actually a bus from Fenghuang to Guilin, is that correct?
And, do you know if there is actually a train from Fenghuanggucheng train station to Guilin?

Hi, the bus schedule and train schedule may both have adjusted. Now the direct train is not available, and you need to transfer in Changsha South. However, the total time only needs about 5-6 hours.
