Day 1 Arrival in Algiers
Upon your arrival in Algiers, you will be warmly welcomed at the arrival hall of the airport by your professional guide and then be escorted to the downtown hotel we carefully selected for you. After checking in, you can have a short rest first. Afterwards, you will be guided to visit the Palais des Rais (Bastion 23), the Place des Martyrs and the Grande Poste d’Alger, to have a first look of this city.

The Palais des Rais is one of the most historical monuments in Algiers. It is also named Bastion 23, consisting of 3 palaces and 6 fishermen’s houses. Access to these places will help you know about the history of Algeria. 

The Place des Martyrs was built to memorize the soldiers died for the liberation of Algeria, which has an area of 8,000 square meters (1.98 acres).

The Grande Poste d’Alger, built in 1910, is the largest post office building in Algeria and was turned into a museum in 2015.

Day 2 Algiers - Tipaza - Cherchell - Algiers
Today, you will first be guided to visit Tipaza, which was built in the 7th century B.C. with Phoenician, Roman, early Christian and Byzantine sites. Its long and beautiful cultural landscape has attracted countless tourists every day and will automatically bring your thoughts back to the Roman times.

After visiting the Tipaza, you will be taken back to Algiers. En route, have a stopover at a local small museum and visit the Tombeau de la Chrétienne, which is an 80,000 cubic meters (65 Mu feet) stone grave with a diameter of 60.9 meters (66.6 yards) and is considered to be the mausoleum of Juba II and his wife Cleopatra Selene II. Juba II was one of the most knowledgeable people in that period and your guide can’t wait to introduce him to you.

Day 3 Algiers - Ghardaia
This morning, you will be taken to the airport for a flight to Ghardaia, which is the place where UNESCO Heritage site of M’Zab Valley lies in. Your local guide in Ghardaia will pick you up and help you check into the hotel. 

In the afternoon, you will be escorted to a local market to see the architecture and experience the local lifestyle. Then you will have some leisure time walking around the city and looking for the things you are interested.

Day 4 Ghardaia
M'zab Valley is located in the north part of the Sahara Desert and the northeast part of the Great Western desert. There are five defensive villages, which are distributed in five terrain areas: small island, ridge, hilltop, capping and basin. Its main function was defense in the ancient times. In addition, there are also seasonal fortifications, graves and lots of palm trees, etc. 

After breakfast, your guide will accompany you to the villages in M‘Zab Valley to know about the history and experience the local customs and culture. You will also have a chance to visit the local traditional mosque, market and architecture. Besides, viewing the natural scenery is also the indispensable part for your journey.

Day 5 Ghardaia - Timimoun
You are going on a long car ride today. It takes more than seven hours to travel from Ghardaia to Timimoun. Although it is a long time, the desert view along the road will not disappoint you. Just as the saying goes, the best scenery is on the way. 

Timimoun is a desert oasis town with a population of 9,000, as well as a religious city with a long history.

Day 6 Timimoun
Tindjillet village is a one of the most beautiful villages in the Sahara Desert. The red architecture, sand dunes, hillside Ksour in the 9th century as well as mysterious caves are the most remarkable features of this desert village. You will spend half day here to appreciate this fascinating place.

Day 7 Timimoun - Beni Abbes - Taghit
Today, we will head to visit Beni Abbes, which is a desert oasis town located in the central and western of Algeria. Built in around 11th century, it was an old town with roofed street. The street is usually dark, even in the daytime. Therefore, people usually need flashlight to go through the street, which will surely be a special experience during your trip. In addition, you will also see many astonishing plants and animals in this town due to the hot and dry climate. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Taghit for overnight.

Day 8 Taghit
Taghit is considered to be one of the most beautiful oases in the Sahara Desert. Agriculture and tourism are the main industries of this place. There are many petroglyphs, sand dunes, palm trees, etc. Besides, there are also five communes. Climbing the sand dunes will offer you a deep feeling about the large desert. Communicating with the local people will make you be more familiar with the local culture and lifestyle.

Day 9 Taghit - Bechar - Algiers
Today you will be driven for around 1.5 hours to Bechar Airport to take a flight back to Algiers. If there are time before your flight, you will be escorted to visit a Bechar local market to get an insight of the local lifestyle. After you arrive in Algiers, you will be taken to check into the downtown hotel.

Day 10 Algiers
The whole day will be devoted to the capital city – Algiers, which was built in the 10th century and is the center of politics, economy, culture and transportation of Algeria. 

After breakfast, we will first head to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah, an unmissable sightseeing spot, which reserves the architecture of castle, ancient temple, Osman Palace, as well as the national cultural history. After that, we will proceed to visit the National Museum of Antiquities and ancient Islamic art, which is the oldest museum in Africa. You will find antiques from the 10th century to 20th century, which will definitely broad your horizon on the history of Algeria. After that, we will continue to visit the Musée National du Bardo before transferring you back to hotel.

Day 11 Departure from Algiers
Today will be the last day of your memorable Algeria desert safari tour. Based on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home. Wish you a pleasant journey.
