Day 1 Arrival in Kolkata
Welcome to Kolkata! After your landing, our local representative will be waiting for you at the airport by holding a signboard with your name on it and take you to the hotel. For the rest of the day you will be left on your own to recover from the jet lag. Or you could start your Bhutan tour package from Kolkata by exploring the neighboring areas.

Day 2 Kolkata
Your Bhutan tour from Kolkata will start with a visit to the Jain Temple that is dedicated to Parasvanath and where you can get a deeper understanding of Jainism. Then we will proceed to the time-honored Victoria Memorial built in 1901. It is a monument to commemorate the Queen Victoria, and now it has become an ideal place for Indian young couples to date. There you can not only wonder at the elegant white palace, but also have a chance to venture into the Museum and Art Gallery inside. More than 3,500 exhibits show you the glorious history and rich culture of India. At the end of the sightseeing, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 3 Kolkata - Paro - Thimphu
Fly to Paro. Airport pick-up & transfer to Thimphu, Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge, National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma Statue, Motithang Takin Preserve, Zilukha Nunnery, Tashichho Dzong. (B+L+D)
After breakfast, you will take a morning flight to Paro to start your Bhutan package from Kolkata. Upon landing, our guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Thimphu with our private ride. On the drive, you will pass by the famous Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge with amazing views. Then your sightseeing continues with National Memorial Chorten built for wishing peace in the world and as a memorial of the national father of Bhutan. Afterwards, you will be amazed at the imposing Buddha Dordenma Statue sitting on a hill. With a striking height of 50 meters (164 feet), the Buddha statue can be captured from most places in Thimphu. Then we proceed to the Motithang Takin Preserve to get an up-close view of their national animal, the Takin, and other wildlife including antelopes and reindeers. After dropping by the time-honored Zilukha Nunnery, you will be taken to marvel at the splendid and elegant Tashichho Dzong, the current residential area of the king and political center of the country.

Day 4 Thimphu
Tango Monastery, Thirteen Traditional Arts and Crafts School, Folk Heritage Museum, National Library, Traditional Paper Making Factory. (B+L+D)
After breakfast, you will begin today’s Bhutan tour package from Kolkata with a visit to the centuries-old Tanggo Monastery. It is an important Buddhism school of Bhutan, and you can see a lot of monks in red robes living in the temple. Then our guide will lead you to the Thirteen Traditional Arts and Crafts School, where you will witness how trainees learn to make traditional crafts including Thangka, wood carvings and embroidery works. After that follows a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum to have a look at the ancient folk residences that the Bhutanese used to dwell in. Finally you will drop by the National Library to admire the exquisite mural paintings and Buddhist scriptures, and a traditional paper making factory to see the whole process of this ancient technique.

Day 5 Thimphu - Punakha
Drive to Punakha, Dochula Pass, 108 grand stupas, Chimmi Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong, Suspension Bridge. (B+L+D)
Today, you will have a morning land transfer from Thimphu to Punakha, and midway we will make a stop at the famous Dochula Pass. With an altitude of 3,140 meters (10,302 feet), the pass not only allows you to take in the spectacular scenery of the Himalaya, but also enables you to have a close glimpse of the 108 grand stupas. Then we continue our drive to the Chimmi Lhakhang perched on a hill, where you will experience a delightful trek along the rice terrace fields. Upon arrival, your day will be highlighted with an exploration to the stunning Punakha Dzong that is famous for its unparalleled mural paintings. After the tour, our private vehicle will take you to cross a suspension bridge, and get you accommodated in a nice hotel for rest.

Day 6 Punakha - Paro
Drive to Paro, Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang. (B+L+D)
After breakfast, you will be chauffeured to Paro, an amazing stop of your Bhutan tour itinerary from Kolkata. The first attraction to sight-see is the best-known Rinpung Dzong that could date back to 1644. Towering high up above the Paro valley, Rinpung Dzong is not only an iconic Buddhist monastery, but also a place of political function. Then move to the Ta Dzong, also known as the National Museum of Bhutan. There are more than 3,000 cultural relics on display, including various utensils, weapons, Buddhist sculptures, Thangka and stamps, which enable you to dive deeply into the history and culture of the country. Your tour concludes with a visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, the oldest temple in Bhutan. It is a great destination for locals to go for pilgrimage, which is also the place for the royal families to practice their big celebrations.

Day 7 Paro Hiking
Hike to Taktsang (Tiger's Nest), Ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, Aum Chencho Farm House. (B+L+D)
After breakfast, we will launch an excursion to the Taktsang (Tiger's Nest), one of the most awe-inspiring sights in your Bhutan holiday packages from Kolkata. Clinging to precipitous cliffs with a height of 900 meters (2,953 feet), Taktsang built in 1692 is the most sacred temple for pilgrimage in Bhutan. Usually, visitors need have an uphill trek for 2-3 hours to reach the temple, and on the way, you can snapshot gorgeous valley views and stunning distant shots of the temple at the viewing decks. Afterwards, you will approach to the Ruins of Drukgyel Dzong constructed in memory of Bhutan’s triumph over Tibetan invaders in 1649. And now you can still trace its precious splendor from the ruins. The rest of the day would be spent in the Aum Chencho Farm House, where you can experience the Bhutan people’s lifestyle by enjoying some homemade wines and foods.
