Day 1 Arrival in Paro
Welcome to the land of happiness, Bhutan! When your flight arrives at Paro International Airport, our guide and the driver will meet you up at the airport. After the warm greeting, they will lead you to visit the National Museum, which houses numerous exquisite artworks, cultural relics, Thangka paintings and beautiful stamps of Bhutan. Next we are going to visit Paro Dzong. We will arrange lunch for you in Paro at noon. After lunch, you will be given some free time to stroll around at Paro town. Have dinner at Paro Hotel and stay here overnight.

Day 2 Paro
After having breakfast at the hotel, the guide and the driver will lead you to visit Bhutan's famous Tiger's Nest Monastery. This holiest Buddhist temple in Bhutan is known as one of the world's top 10 super temples. Standing on a 3,000-foot-high cliff in the Paro Valley, it will take us about 3 hours to climb up there. After, we will stay in the monastery for about 1 hour and then climb down, taking about 2 hours or so. Lunch will be arranged in a cafeteria on the way. After visiting the Tiger's Nest Temple, we will go to Kyichu Lhakhang, a Buddhist temple which is very well preserved. You can move freely in the rest of the day.

Day 3 Paro - Jele Dzong
Our Bhutan trekking package will start today. We will set off from the Paro National Museum, accompanied by a groom, a guide and a chef. On the way we will pass through large broad-leaved coniferous mixed forests. If the weather is good, you can see the snow-covered mountains in the distance. In about 3-4 hours we will arrive at the first camp to rest. The camp site is near old Jele Dzong.

Day 4 Jele Dzong - Jangchulakha
Today we will continue our trekking through dense alpine forests and rhododendron bushes, see herdsman grazing the flocks, feast your eyes on the breathtaking views of Mountain Jhomolhari and other snowy mountains, and meet monks occasionally. After walking up to Jangchulakha at 3780 meters, overlook spectacular views of the Himalayas. Tonight, we will spend overnight at Jangchulakha Camp.

Day 5 Jangchulakha - Jimilangtsho Lake
Today we will trek along the ridge trail through juniper woods and rhododendrons for mesmerizing views of Thimphu and Paro Valley. Following the rugged path, we will walk upward and then follow the steep mountain path downward to the Jimilangstho Lake (3,880 m). The lake is famous for its giant trout. We plan to set up our tents and stay one night here, where you can enjoy the magnificent views of Jichu Drake at 6,989 m high, and take many wonderful photos.

Day 6 Jimilangtsho - Phajodhing trek
Kick off the day with a cup of hot coffee and delicious breakfast. Along the way we will admire the dwarf cuckoo trees and Janetso Lake, as well as the real life of nomads. If the weather is good, you can enjoy spectacular views of Bhutan's highest peaks, Gangker Phuensum, and other Himalayan mountains. Then, we will head to Phajodhing and stay one night at the camp there. Here, you can see Phajodhing monasteries and Thimphu town from the valley floor.

Day 7 Phajodhing - Thimphu
Today we will trek through a pine forest to reach Thimphu, which takes about 2 hours, and our trekking staff will say goodbye to you. Lunch will be served at Thimphu after arrival. After that, the guide will accompany you to visit Memorial Chhorten, which was built in 1974 to honor the third king Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, father of modern Bhutan. After the visit we'll go to Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang). At 51.5 meters high, this colossus of Sakyamuni is one of the largest Buddha statues in the world. Finally we will visit Trachichho Dzong, a beautiful Buddhist temple that doubles as a fortress. Dinner will be offered in the hotel.

Day 8 Thimphu - Punakha
After breakfast, we will drive from Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3150 m). On the way, we will pass by a famous attraction: 108 pagodas built by craftsmen under the orders of the fourth Queen, Dorje Wham Wangchuck. On a sunny day, you can clearly see the snow-capped mountains on the border between Bhutan and Tibet in China. Then the guide will lead you to visit one of the most beautiful temples in Bhutan: Punakha Dzong. Later we will hike to the next attraction, Chhimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility. After the visit, we will have lunch in Punakha. Then drive back to Thimphu and have some leisure time at Thimphu town. Then, have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 Paro
Today will be your last day in Bhutan. After having breakfast in the hotel, you will be transferred to Paro International airport to catch your flight. See you!
