  Detailed: Itinerary
You are suggested to start the cycling trip from 08:00 and ride directly to Angkor Wat. It is a simple straight ride from Siem Reap and only takes about 20 minutes on the way. Angkor Wat, a 12th-century majestic Khmer temple complex, used to be the royal center of the Khmer Empire and is the largest religious structure in the world. Surrounded by an enormous moat, it consists of numerous well-preserved temple grounds which contain both Hindu and Buddhist decorations.

After the Angkor Wat visit, you will pedal to the Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire. At the South Gate of this old city, you can see 108 vivid stone sculptures of deities and demons standing along the main road. Riding to the central of Angkor Thom, you will reach the Bayon Temple, where 216 smiling faces were carved with peace and kindness. As the heart of Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple has many well-preserved bas-relief carvings reflecting the history, myths, and daily life of the Khmer Empire. Later, you will continue riding to visit the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

Have a lunch break at the site, and then you will cycle to Ta Prohm, also well-known as the Jungle Temple, which is a stone temple covered with vast trees and roots. Over years the trees had loosen the stones and grew out its walls. The combination of moss, giant roots and the finely carved temple ruins will give visitors a mysterious feeling. Thus Ta Prohm was once used as a backdrop in the popular Hollywood movie Tomb Raider.

If you still feel energetic, you could ride to explore more temples nearby, otherwise, you could cycle back to the hotel, and then return the bike. We wish you a pleasant day trip!
