Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu
Welcome to Kathmandu! You will be greeted at the airport by our guide and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to have a good rest and get prepared for the 8 days Kathmandu Pokhara Tour.

Meals: No meals, advice freely available
Day 2 Kathmandu - Patan - Kathmandu
Your tour starts with the popular Kathmandu Durbar Square, which is located at the heart of the city. You can get a good taste on Nepal culture after seeing the old palaces, the house of 'kumari', the many temples, markets and lanes in and around the square. Following that, you will be guided to visit the Temple of Swayambhunath. Situating on a hilltop, this temple is among the oldest Buddhist shrines in the world. You will find wonderful views of Kathmandu valley if you visit this site on a clear day.

Later, a short drive will take you to Patan. Near Kathmandu separated by a river, Patan has been described as a city of arts. You will find it really a feast for the eyes when exploring the Newari architecture, the palace, the royal bath and numerous temples in the Dubar Square. After visiting the Golden Temple, you will be transferred back to the hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 3 Kathmandu - Pokhara
Drive to Pokhara & check in at hotel, ride a boat on the Phewa Lake. (B+L+D)
After breakfast at hotel, we will take a scenic drive to Pokhara and check in at hotel. The driving takes around 7-8 hours and lunch will be served at the restaurant on the highway. After a short rest at hotel, you will first be guided to have a leisure walk at the town of Pokhara. Afterwards, you will ride a boat on the Phewa Lake to overlook the rare natural beauty of Mt. Annapyrna and Mt. Fishtail.

Day 4 Pokhara
Sarangkot Hill to enjoy sunrise over the Himalayas, Bindabasini Temple, World Peace Pagoda, the Devi's Fall, Mahadev cave and Pokhara Mountain Musuem, Lake Beganas. (B+L+D)
Wake up early and we will transfer you to Sarangkot Hill to enjoy the spectacular view of sunrise over the Himalayas. Return to hotel for breakfast and then visit one of the famous temples in Pokhara known as Bindabasini. We will continue to visit World Peace Pagoda, the Devi's Fall, Mahadev cave and Pokhara Mountain Musuem. You will have lunch at a notable restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the Lake Beganas. Different from the busy Phewa Lake, Beganas is tranquil and peaceful with fewer crowds.

 Friendly Tips

If you wish to add an easy hiking experience, we can arrange a 1-2 hour hike down from the World Peace Stupa to the Phewa Lake. You can decide in advance or discuss this with your guide at the time based on your physical condition. There is no additional cost for this activity.
Day 5 Pokhara - Chitwan
Drive to Chitwan, free time for resting and preparing for jungle adventure. (B+L+D)
After having breakfast, we will leave for Chitwan National Park. The transfer takes about 6-7 hours. Upon arrival, you will lodge in a jungle resort. For the reminder of the day, you will be free to have a good rest to save strength for your jungle safari tomorrow. As the first royal reserve in Nepal, Chitwan National Park harbors many precious wild animals and birds, including the endangered one-horned rhinoceros and Bengal tigers.

Day 6 Chitwan
Chitwan National Park, Elephant Breeding Center, Tharu village. (B+L+D)
Breakfast is served at the lodge. You will embark on a whole day jungle activities, including bird watching, elephant back safari, canoeing trip, jungle walks and elephant bathing. In the evening, you will enjoy the Tharu stick dance performed by the villagers.

Day 7 Chitwan - Kathmandu - Dhulikhel
Drive back to Kathmandu, transfer to Dhulikhel village, enjoy sunset. (B+L+D)
Wake up early and get a fresh morning with a cup of tea. We will drive about 7 hours back to Kathmandu and then transfer to Dhulikhel (30km east of Kathmandu) to check in at the hotel. The village Dhulikhel near the Chinese border needs one more hour drive from Kathmandu. You can have one of the best panoramic views of the spectacular snowed Himalayas in Dhulikhel. There are always many good places in the city for you to watch sunrise or sunset. Also, its old town has a fine group of ancient Newari houses with beautifully carved windows and doors.

Day 8 Dhulikhel - Kathmandu
Enjoy sunrise view over the mountains, drive back to Kathmandu, Bhaktapur City (Bhadgaon), Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Dattatreya Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple. (B+L)
You can wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise view over the mountains. Then we depart from Dhulikhel. On the way back to Kathmandu, a visit to Bhaktapur (Bhadgaon) is scheduled for you. Listed as a World Heritage Site, Bhaktapur is the birthplace of the Nepal medieval architectures and arts. Here you will see remarkable ancient buildings including Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Dattatreya Temple. You will also continue the visits to Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the hotel in Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free at your own disposal to further explore the city or do some shopping independently.

Day 9 Departure from Kathmandu
Hotel-airport transfer & see you off. A nice journey home! (B)
Breakfast is provided at the hotel and your Kathmandu Pokhara Tour finishes today. Our guide and driver will escort you to the airport and see you off according to your onward flight schedule. Should you wish to stay longer in Kathmandu, we are happy to arrange an extension tour for you.
