Day 1 Take flight from Australia to Kathmandu
To fly from Australia to Kathmandu, we suggest you consider to depart from the cities of Sydney or Melbourne. Today you need to go to the airport to take fight by yourself.

If you depart from Sydney, you can take the Emirates flight EK415 21:45/05:15 (14h30m) to Dubai first, where you will have a 3-hour layover. Then connect the flight EK2446 08:15/14:00 (4h) to arrive in Kathmandu. The total journey takes around 21 hours.

If departing from Melbourne, you can choose the flight EK409 22:30/05:40 (14h10m). After a stopover of 2h35m in Dubai, board the flight EK2446 08:15/14:00 (4h) to Katmandu. About 21 hours in total.
Day 2 Arrive in Kathmandu & Visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square
The moment you arrive at the Kathmandu Airport, our guide will wait for you at the airport and then accompany you to go to the hotel for refreshment. For the rest of the day, let's visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square located in the city center. You will be amazed by the over 50 classical temples and palaces built during the period from the 16th to 19th century.

Day 3 Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara (30 minutes)
Take flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara in the morning. On arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to check in at the hotel. Take some rest, and then we will accompany you to walk along the lakeside and have a boat ride on Phewa Lake. Covering an area of 6 square kilometers, the lake is close to the royal palace of the King of Nepal. After that, we will visit the Barahi Temple. It is said that the temple has an embodiment of the Goddess Barahi - one of the important patron saints of Pokhara.

Day 4 Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and trek to Pothana: 50 minutes by car, 4-5 hours walking
Our short Mardi Himal trekking beginds today. Our guide will pick you up at the hotel in the morning and drive for about one hour to the small town Phedi. Our hiking will start here. We'll walk up along the stone step, cross the azalea bushes and pine forest, and then arrive at Dhampus, a Gurung village famous for Annapurna ranges, Lamjung Himal and the spectacular view of Manaslu. After, continue climbing to Pothana surrounded by dense forest where we can appreciate the magnificent mountain scenery.

Day 5 Trek from Pothana to the forest camp: walking distance 5-6 hours
Leave Pothana early in the morning and head to Pitam Deurali village. Here you can take the photos of Machapuchare, Annapurna South, and Mardi Himal in the morning light. Go on and climb along a steep path and then pass through a dense forest of moss-covered oak, hemlock, and maple trees. If you happen to be hiking in the spring, the beautiful azaleas and magnolias blooming in this forest will hold your breath. The forest is also home to many rare wild animals, and you could catch a glimpse of some rare birds and animals along the way. Today's trek will end when we reach Forest Camp.

Day 6 Trek from Forest Camp to high camp: walking distance 6-7 hours
Leave the quiet Forest Camp, today in the morning we will continue to hike in the forest. After a few hours of hiking, we will stop for lunch at Low Camp, where you can also admire Machapuchare's unique fishtail shaped mountain top. Continue trekking to High Camp, where you could enjoy 360-degree views of snow-covered canyons, towering mountains and steep cliffs. We will stay here for the night.

Day 7 Walk to the Mardi Himal Viewpoint: 6-7 hours
Today we need to get up early for not missing the sunrise of Annapurna range. After, have breakfast and start to conquer the 4,500 meters (14,764 feet) high Mardi Himal Base Camp. After hiking on the narrow rocky path for 3 hours, we'll reach Mardi Himal Base Camp where you could admire the Annapurna Sanctuary and spectacular south face of Annapurna, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre. Stay here for a while and hike back to High Camp on the way we come.

Day 8 Trek from High Camp to Sidhing Village: walking distance 6-7 hours
Today we'll return by the way we come and head to the Low Camp along the steep slope. From the camp we'll hike into the forest and arrive at Mardi Khola. Then, walk along the river and through the forest, we'll reach the hospitable Sidhing village.

Day 9 Trek from Sidhing to Lumre and drive back to Pokhara
After having breakfast in Sidhing, we'll go downhill to Lumre. After leaving Sidhing, we'll pass by two villages, Kalimati and Ghalel. Kalimati is mainly inhabited by Brahmin residents; Ghalel, like Sidhing, inhabits the offspring of Brahmin and Gurung. This is a great opportunity to understand how different cultures in Nepal coexist. Arrive in Lumre, we'll take a jeep for about 1-2 hours to return to Pokhara. Then we'll transfer you to your hotel in Pokhara. This is the end of our pleasant 6-day Mardi Himal Trekking.

Day 10 Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu & Kathmandu tour
Return to Kathmandu by flight. For the rest time of today, we will go to Patan City to tour around Patan Durbar Square and Golden Temple. This rectangular square is also called Palace Square. The royal palace, Taleju Temple and Golden Temple occupy the east of the square. At the west part, we will see 16 temples, 7 pillars and some open-air statues. Finally, we will visit Boudhanath Stupa. Having a huge white dome, it is the largest round stupa in the world.

Day 11 Depart from Kathmandu, Take flight back to Australia
Your Nepal tour packages from Australia will conclude today. We will pick you up from the hotel at the appointed time and then transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your homeward flight.

If flying back to Sydney, you can book the Emirates flight EK2154 20:10/23:50 (5h25m) to Dubai. After a 2-hour layover there, connect the flight EK414 02:00/22:30 (13h30m) to the final destination. The flying time is around 21 hours.

If you fly to Melbourne, there are also the Emirates flights available. While, you can also consider the Singapore Airlines flight SQ439 13:10/20:20 (4h55m) and the connecting flight SQ237 00:25/10:50 (7h25m) after a 4-hour layover in Singapore.
