Poon Hill Trekking Tour

Welcome to Nepal! After arriving at Kathmandu airport, our guide and the driver will meet you there and transfer you to the hotel in the city center.

Today's itinerary will start with the company of our trekking guide. You will be transferred to Pokhara (910 meters) by private car for 6 hours. Along the way, you can enjoy the idyllic scenery. Upon arrival, the guide will help you to check-in a comfortable hotel. In the evening, you can stroll around the serene Phewa Lake, the second-largest lake in Nepal, or take a boat to enjoy the leisure time at your own expense. If the weather is fine, you may also appreciate the reflections of Mount Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Range, which is also impressive.

After breakfast, we will drive about 1 hour to reach today's start point, Nayapul. On the first day, we will take a comparatively easy itinerary. At first, we will hike about 15 minutes to Birethanti, at an elevation of 1,015 meters. This is a small village full of shops and tea houses, thus an important stop on the treks. Then we will walk through the village by trail and hike along the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola to go up. Keep hiking and we will pass through the Hille at an elevation of 1,495 meters and finally reach Tikhedhunga with a height of 1,570 meters. Stay overnight at the local guesthouse.

After crossing the suspension bridge of Tikhedhunga, the uphill road becomes much steeper and we need to climb about 3,300 steps to arrive at the 2,080 meters high Ulleri. From this stop point, you can get the first views of Mt. Annapurna south (7,219 meters) and Hiunchuli (6,441 meters). Then following the trail to cross the two streams and climbing for a short distance, we will get to Nangethanti and have lunch. In the afternoon, the trekking will continue to the 2,850 meters high Ghorepani, where you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of snow-caped mountains, including Dhaulagiri I (8,167 meters), Nilgiri (6,940 meters) Annapurna I (8,091 meters) and Hiunchuli (6,441 meters). After that, check-in the local guesthouse.

Get up early and wear enough warm clothes to start the day! It takes about 1 hour to reach the Poon Hill situated at 3,210 meters. The unique hill station overlooking the magnificent Himalayas ranges offers the most beautiful sunrise views. After that, we will return to Ghorepani to enjoy breakfast. Then trek about 1.5 hours to Deurali and hike down for 1.5 hours to Banthanti. At last, hike for 1.5 hours to Tadapani Village with a height of 2,610 meters and stay overnight here.

The down-hill trekking will continue today. Hiking through the forest, we will get to the Ghandruk (1,960 meters) inhabited by Gurung residents. This village has various natural landscapes from snow-capped mountains to forests and you can enjoy the majestic snow views of Annapurna South (7,219 meters), Himchhuli (6,441 meters), Fishtail (6,997 meters), Mardi Himal (5,587 meters), etc. Followed by a relatively easy trip to Kimche, and then we will drive to Pokhara for checking in at a hotel, which takes about 2 hours.

As the poon hill trek have finished, this day you will take a private car back to Kathmandu, along with the trekking guide. The scenic drive will provide you beautiful natural sceneries and leave you wonderful memories of Nepal.
