Day 1 Arrival in Colombo
Upon your arrival, our guide and driver will pick you up at Colombo International Airport and escort you to the hotel. After a small refreshing the driver is ready to take you out for the Colombo City Tour. First you will visit the Gangaramaya Temple. After that, we will go to the Colombo National Museum. The tour will end up with a visit to Galle Face Green.

Day 2 Colombo - Anuradhapura
The 10 days Sri Lanka tour will start with a visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela. There are two Elephant Orphanages in the world, one is in Kenya and the other is in Sri Lanka. It is a shelter built to take care of the homeless, injured, diseased and lost elephants. After lunch, we will proceed to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, which is a Buddhist museum carved into the mountain rock. It contains five caves, the second of which is the biggest with numerous statues and murals covering the wall completely. You will need to climb many steps to reach the entrance, so a pair of comfortable shoes is recommended.

Day 3 Anuradhapura
Full day exploration to heritage sites in Anuradhapura. (B+L)
The whole day today is devoted to exploring the heritage sites in Anuradhapura, which was a magnificent ancient capital city well equipped with multiple functions including the irrigation system, a great number of palaces, temples, artificial lakes, bathing pools and other large constructions. All of them show us how spectacular and glorious the old kingdom once was in its time. By visiting these historical remains, you will learn a lot about the brilliant history of Sri Lanka and get an insight into their mysterious religious culture.

Day 4 Anuradhapura - Polunaruwa
Polonnaruwa ancient city, the Brahmanism relics. (B+L)
Your Sri Lanka itinerary 10 days continue to Polonaruwa today. Upon arrival, you will spend the rest of the day visiting the well-preserved ruins in this ancient city at your own pace. Here you can not only find the Brahmanism relics, but also see the remains of a garden city constructed in the twelfth century. The driver will take them by car only if the guests wish they can hire a bike (but its very hot). Socks are also required sometimes as shoes should be removed when you enter into the temples and the ground can be very hot on sunny days.

Day 5 Polunaruwa - Sigiriya - Kandy
Sigiriya Lion Rock, drive to Kandy, Hindu Temple in Matale, Culture Dance Show, Temple of Tooth Relics. (B+L)
Today's Sri Lanka excursions starts with a visit to the Sigiriya Lion Rock, a must see place in Sri Lanka. The rock itself is magnificent. On climbing the rock, you will be impressed with the beautiful surrounding parks, the superb wall paintings along the way and be overwhelmed by the breathtaking view from the top. After that, we will move on to Kandy, having a brief visit to a spice garden en route, also see the Hindu Temple in Matale. Kandy, reputed as the holy city, was the last capital during the reign of ancient kings and was included in the World Cultural Heritage list in 1998. Join the Culture Dance Show and then let's visit the Temple of Tooth Relics where you can see the locals dressed in full white clothes praying piously with lotus flowers. Please take off your shoes and follow the other visitors to appreciate the delicate carvings and fancy decorations inside the temple. At the end of the day, we will transfer you to check into the hotel.

Day 6 Kandy - Nuwara Eliya
Head to Nuwara Eliya, Ramboda Waterfall, A Tea Factory, Hakgala Botanical Garden. (B+L)
Our driver guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and head to Nuwara Eliya this morning. On the way, we will visit the cascading Ramboda Waterfall. We will also stop by a tea-planting history and taste the authentic black tea while enjoying the picturesque mountain landscape. Then we pay a visit to the Hakgala Botanical Garden, which is the second largest garden in Sri Lank with an altitude of over 1,600 meters. The garden was established in 1861 originally for experimental planting of cinchona trees and now it has become a noted royal garden famous for planting roses, ferns and medicinal plants. The remainder of the day is left for you to explore this beautiful small city filled with European-style buildings.

Day 7 Nuwara Eliya - Ella - Tissamaharama
Transfer to Nanu Oya, scenic train ride to Ella, Rawana Waterfalls, Katharagama. Drive to Tissamaharama. (B+L)
Transfer to Nanu Oya and take the train to Ella to experience the most beautiful train ride during your Sri Lanka 10 days tour itinerary. Our driver guide will take you to the train to help you to find a good seat, and then he will leave you and wait for you at the train station in Ella. Visit the picturesque Rawana Waterfalls. Later we will pay a visit to Katharagama. Transfer to Tissamaharama and check in at the hotel.

Day 8 Tissamaharama - Galle - Bentota
Yala National Park, proceed to Galle, Galle Fort, head on to Bentota. (B+L)
Visit the Yala National Park in the morning. It is an amazing and exciting experience to spot the different wild animals, especially the rare leopard, from the jeeps. The lands, trees, plants and various wild animals in the park make you feel as if you were travelling across the vast African savanna. Afterwards, we proceed to Galle. Galle is a charming ancient town full of culture, history, museums and other old buildings. It used to be a famous business center and main port during the 16th and 17th century. Occupying an area of 360000 square meters, the Galle Fort was built by the Dutch to show their rule was impregnable in the Dutch colonial period. Besides, the other architectures like a small house, a road or even a door tell people of the past. Standing on the fort to enjoy the sunset is a unique experience that you cannot miss. Head on to Bentota, the last destination of your 10 days Sri Lanka tour and check into your hotel.

Day 9 Bentota
Free day for you to relax on the beach. (B)
Bentota is a famous coastal city located 60 kilometers away from Colombo. Although there are many temples, the most attractive activity here is water sports like surfing, boating, diving and fishing. We will leave today free for you to relax on the beach. It is recommended that you can experience a drifting tour along the Bentota River. The journey takes around three hours and you are able to see giant lizards, geckos and crocodiles along the way. Alternatively, you may choose to enjoy the traditional folk dance or appreciate the ancient relics of murals and sculptures in the temples nearby. Today's expenses are on your side. We only book hotel for you.
