Day 1 Arrival in Hanoi
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our guide and driver outside the Hanoi Airport and transferred to the hotel for check-in.

Meals: No meals, advice freely available
Day 2 Hanoi
After breakfast, we will begin this 14-day private Vietnam tour to the Ba Dinh Square and visit the stately Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum Complex, the solemn Presidential Palace as well as the One Pillar Pagoda which stands on a huge stone pillar in water.

In the afternoon, we continue the Hanoi city tour with a visit to the Temple of Literature and the Museum of Ethnology. While wandering about the bustling Old Quarter, you will not only see exotic dwellings and stores, but also feel the cool breeze at Hoan Kiem Lake. An excellent Water Puppet Show awaits you in the late afternoon.

Day 3 Hanoi - Halong Bay
Drive to Halong Bay to board a luxury cruise and stay one night on the cruise. You will have a wonderful time. (B+L+D)
Today we head for the dock by a private car for a cruise along Halong Bay. During the cruise, many of the towering peaks and peculiar rocks can be seen. The shimmering water dotted with green islets make you feel like you are in a landscape painting. You will also go ashore to explore nearby stalactite caves and enjoy some recreational activities, such as swimming or kayaking.

Day 4 Halong Bay - Hanoi
Relax on board, disembark around noon and drive back to Hanoi. Free at leisure for rest time.
Get up early to enjoy the captivating sea views in the morning sun and relax on board. After a hearty brunch, we disembark the cruise ship at around noon. You will be picked up at Halong Bay and escorted to the hotel in Hanoi. The rest of the day is free for you to immerse yourself in the city.

You may want to know about the Old Quarter:
The Old Quarter, also called 36 Streets, offers Vietnamese specialties ranging from coffee, croissant, mung bean cake and dried fruits and vegetables. These small and portable gifts are nice choices for friends and family. Please do not forget to bargain for a better price.

Day 5 Hanoi - Dong Hoi
Morning is free. Fly to Dong Hoi, airport-hotel transfer. (B)
Today, your Vietnam tour in 2 weeks will be extended to Dong Hoi. This morning you are free to stroll around the capital city of Hanoi, noting the French-style buildings along streets. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Dong Hoi. After arrival, our guide will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 6 Dong Hoi
Phong Nha National Park, Phong Nha Caves by boat, Paradise Cave. (B+L)
In the morning, we head for the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park to start a cave-exploration day tour. This park is famous in Vietnam for the wonderful scenery of various karst caves. Within the scenic area, you can catch sight of imposing mountains and their reflections on the clear water, shining stalactites and stone forests.We will guide you to the well-known Phong Nha Caves by boat, followed by a visit to the castle-like Paradise Cave.

Day 7 Dong Hoi - Hue
Vinh Moc Tunnels, Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge, Quang Tri citadel, La Vang. Drive to Hue (around 3 hours), check in at hotel. (B+L)
After breakfast, we begin the drive south to Hue. On the way, we visit a number of attractions. Our guide will accompany you to tour the Vinh Moc Tunnels. Next, we visit the Hien Luong Bridge on the Ben Hai River, site of the dividing line between North and South Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Here, you can also admire the fascinating natural scenery. This will be followed by sightseeing at the splendid Quang Tri Citadel. Finally, we visit the Our Lady of La Vang Shrine. We then continue the drive for about another hour to check in to the hotel in Hue.

Royal Tomb of King Ming Mang, a short boat trip to Thien Mu Pagoda, Imperial Citadel, Forbidden Purple City, Dong Ba Market. (B+L)
In the morning, accompanied by the guide, you will pay a visit to the Royal Tomb of King Minh Mang. After that, a short boat trip awaits you, disembarking at the Thien Mu Pagoda, which has quietly sat by the Perfume River for almost 400 years. The grand Imperial Citadel and inside the Forbidden Purple City are also included in this Hue city tour. After that, you will be guided to the Dong Ba Market to experience local people's life.

Day 9 Hue - Da Nang - Hoi An
Drive to Hoi An (around 3 hours), en route visit Hai Van Pass. Non Nuoc Beach, Cham Museum, climb Marble Mountains, free time for the rest day. (B+L)
After check-out in the morning, we will take you to the ancient town of Hoi An via a 3-hour drive. Along the way, we will stop at Hai Van Pass and the long Non Nuoc Beach for sightseeing. Later, we arrive at the Museum of Cham Sculpture, which houses many exquisite stone carvings. After that, you will be guided to climb the Marble Mountains which overlook the great rivers and mountains before continuing to Hoi An. After check-in at your hotel in Hoi An, you will be free for the rest of the day.

Day 10 Hoi An - My Son - Hoi An
Morning excursion to My Son Sanctuary, afternoon guided walking tour to visit Hoi An Old Town, Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Hall, Tan Ky Old house, Japanese Bridge. (B+L)
This morning you will tour the My Son Sanctuary in west Hoi An in our guide's company. There are ruins of about 70 Hindu temples hidden in the deep valley and you can learn of the trials and tribulations, as well as the history of the Champa Dynasty (192 - 1832) from these ruined sites.

In the afternoon, we will return to Hoi An to explore the ancient city on foot. You will be amazed when viewing the great attractions, including the grandiose Chua Ong Pagoda, the solemn Chinese Assembly Hall, the elegant Tan Ky Old house and the delicate Japanese Covered Bridge.

What you should not miss in My Son Sanctuary:
A wonderful Champa dance performance will be shown at 10:30 and 14:30 (closed on Mondays) in the scenic area. You are advised to arrive there in advance to get better seats.

Day 11 Hoi An - Da Nang - Ho Chi Minh City
Free time in the morning. Fly to Ho Chi Minh City, airport-hotel transfer. (B)
Today you will have a free morning to further explore Hoi An. After that, we will transfer you to the airport in Da Nang to catch the flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the last destination of this 14 days Vietnam tour. Upon arrival, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the hotel.

Morning excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels, afternoon visits to War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace, City Center Post Office, Dong Khoi Street. (B+L)
After breakfast, the guide will accompany to explore what was once a fully featured underground village - the Cu Chi Tunnel complex. In the afternoon, the guided private Ho Chi Minh City tour will continue with visits to the War Remnants Museum, the white Reunification Palace and the Gothic City Center Post Office. Afterwards, you can enjoy some local specialties in Dong Khoi Street.

Day 13 Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City
A guided day trip to Mekong River Delta. Drive to Ben Tre, boat tour on Mekong Delta, see villages, workshops and visit a local family. (B+L)
In the morning, we will set out for Ben Tre by a private vehicle and from there take a boat to tour around the Mekong Delta. While viewing the picturesque Mekong River, the guide will take you to explore nearby villages including a village workshop for making of coconut candy. You will also have a local family visit. After that, we will drive you back to Ho Chi Minh City.
