Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Arrive at any time, Airport pick-up & airport-hotel transfer.
Upon your arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, you will receive a warm welcome from our professional guide. A private transfer will take you to our reserved hotel to check in. The rest of the day is free for you to have a good rest at the hotel.

Day 2 Beijing

A short introduction to this Beijing - Xi'an - Guilin - Shanghai tour will be given at the hotel lobby at 08:00 and the tour guide will confirm the meeting time one day ahead. Then set out for the first destination of this 9 days China Tour, Mutianyu Great Wall, which is renowned for the well-preserved wall and dense beacon towers. If you are interested in taking the cable car or slide way up and down the wall, the guide will help you purchase the tickets on the spot.

In the afternoon, we will go back to the downtown area. On the way, make a photo stop to view the National Stadium (Bird's Nest). After that, we will head for the Summer Palace, the best-preserved royal park built in the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911 AD).

Day 3 Beijing - Xi'an

Checking out after breakfast, our guide will escort you to visit the famous Tiananmen Square. Then we will go to the Palace Museum, formerly known as the Forbidden City. It is the royal palace of the Ming (1368 - 1644 AD) and Qing (1644 - 1911 AD) Dynasties and the essence of ancient Chinese palace architecture.

In the afternoon, we will go sightseeing in the Hutongs by a rickshaw and then proceed to the Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped the heaven and prayed for a good harvest every year. 

In the end of today, our guide and driver will transfer you to the railway station to take the overnight train bound for Xi'an.

Day 4 Arrival in Xi'an
Arrive at around 8:00, train station pick-up, Terracotta Army, Small Wild Goose Pagoda, Xi'an City Wall.
The train will arrive at Xi'an Railway Station at around 08:00, and our guide will pick you up on time. The fourth day of the tour will start from the Terracotta Army, the imperial troops guarding Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 - 210BC).

In the afternoon, we will head for the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a typical Buddhism architecture in square brick tower style with dense eaves. Then go to the City Wall, the most complete and the best-preserved city wall in China. After enjoying a pleasant trip today, our guide will help you check in the hotel.

Day 5 Xi'an - Guilin
Free time to explore the Bell and Drum towers area, Hotel pick-up, Fly to Guilin, Airport-hotel transfer. (B)

This morning is free for you to explore the city on your own. You can scroll around among the Bell Tower, Drum Tower and Muslim Quarter area which are within walking distance of your hotel. 

In the afternoon, the guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel lobby and transfer you to the airport for the flight to Guilin. Upon landing, our guide in Guilin will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel in downtown.

Day 6 Guilin - Yangshuo

After breakfast, the guide will help you to check out and transfer you to the cruise ship to Yangshuo. At about 9:00, the cruise along the beautiful Li River officially starts. You can feast your eyes on the enchanting scenery during the 83 kilometers (52 miles) long cruise. The lunch will be served to you by the cruise. After arrival at Yangshuo at about 13:00, we will take a car to view the pastoral scenery in the countryside. At the end of the day, check in the hotel. 

Tips: As the cruise company offers box lunch on the ship. It may fail to meet with your approval. We are aware of the shortcomings and suggest you prepare for the cruise with a generous breakfast at the hotel.

Day 7 Yangshuo - Guilin - Shanghai
Free time to explore Yangshuo in the morning, Hotel pick-up at 13:00, Drive back to Guilin and take an overnight soft sleeper train to Shanghai. (B)

This morning remains free for you. A cycling tour along the Yulong River is a good choice. 

At 13:00, our guide and driver will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to Guilin Railway Station. He/ she will help you board the overnight train to Shanghai before seeing you off.

Day 8 Shanghai
Arrive at around 10:00, train station pick-up, Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden and its surrounding bazaar, the Bund, Nanjing Road.

Our guide in Shanghai will pick you up at Shanghai Railway Station upon your arrival at about 10:00. Then we will visit Shanghai Museum specializing in bronze wares, potteries, calligraphies and paintings. Next destination will be Yu Garden where you can appreciate pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds and cloisters. Then have a stroll in the neighboring Yuyuan Bazaar. Later we will head to one of the most prosperous areas in Shanghai, the Bund to appreciate western style buildings on one side and piercing skyscrapers on the other side. The last destination of today is Nanjing Road. Finishing the whole day's visit, the guide will escort you to the hotel and bid farewell.

Day 9 Departure from Shanghai
Please check out before 12:00. We recommend the most efficient and money-saving way - taking a taxi by yourself from hotel to the airport, A pleasant trip home! (B)
You can check out of the hotel at any time before 12:00 and then go to the airport for your home bound flight by yourself. We recommend you to take a taxi directly to the airport in consideration of your luggage. The fare is about CNY 200 per cab.
