What to See in Belize for First Time Travelers?

If you plan a short stay in Belize, you are suggested to explore the Caye Caulker Island for a snorkeling tour to swim among the marine wildlife, like eels, sharks, stingrays and corals. If you want to take a Belize vacation for 4 to 7 days, it is a good choice to experience the cave tubing in caves filled with ancient Mayan secrets in Belize City, and enjoy snorkeling in Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark-Ray Alley, which are located near the popular spot of Ambergris Caye. For those who prefer an in-depth travel, 8 to 10 days' Belize vacations will cover more sights including the Great Blue Hole and the Mayan ruins in San Ignacio.

When is the Best Time to Take Belize Tour Packages?

Belize has a subtropical climate, which makes it a year round travel destination, while the best time to go there is during the dry season from December to next May, with pleasantly warm temperatures. The rainy season is from June to November, when the annual rainfall is the highest and there are prevailing winds from the Caribbean Sea.

Do I Need a Visa to Enter Belize?

For visitors from USA and Canada, if you travel in Belize for less than 30 days, you do not need to apply for a visa. If you are planning to stay there for more than 30 days, you are required to have your passport re-stamped by a local immigration office and pay for every additional month. You are suggested to ask for advice from your local Belize embassy if your stay is over 30 days.

Most nationalities also enjoy the visa exemption policy with different limitations, while a few are not. Travelers who start a Belize trip are suggested to contact the Belize Embassy or consulate to check the visa policy first.
