Day 1 Arrival in Rio de Janeiro, Airport pick-up
Welcome to the Marvelous City - Rio de Janeiro to start your 9 days brilliant Brazil escorted tours! Your English speaking driver will meet you at Rio de Janeiro Galeao International Airport (GIG) with a placard according to your flight schedule. Upon arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel after 20-km (12.4-mi) car drive. After check-in, you can stay at the hotel for a rest or explore the city by yourself, which all depends on you.

Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city in Brazil, and once served as the capital of Brazil during 1763-1960. As a must-visit destination in South America, the coastal city is a holiday paradise offering much to see, from beautiful sea views, magnificent mountains, white beaches, and lush green rainforests to samba-fueled nightlife.

Day 2 Tour at Christ the Redeemer & Corcovado
The breakfast buffet is served for you in the morning. After that, your guide and the driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to today's first stop, Christ the Redeemer. The largest statue is installed on the top of Corcovado, overlooking the whole city. It is the landmark of Rio de Janeiro, even Brazil, and also the world's largest art deco style sculpture. The statue is 30 meters (98 ft.) high but the arms stretch 28 meters (92 ft.) wide, making it look larger than it is. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, the incredible statue opening the arms looks like a large cross from miles, giving an ambiance of solemnity.

Next, we will head to the world's largest Maracanã stadium which once held the 1950 and 2014 FIFA World Cups. Then, move to Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio de Janeiro to enjoy this beautiful conical-shaped structure with 4 large stained glass windows, which is quite different from average churches. In the end, you will be guided to the old Rio to appreciate the brilliant graffiti art and the "Cultural Corridor". Then you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Day 3 Full day visit in Rio de Janeiro
After breakfast, the guide and the driver will lead you to a famous beach in Rio de Janeiro and then move forward to Sugarloaf Mountain, another iconic attraction of the city, where you can overlook the whole city and the beautiful Guanabara Bay. Don't worry about hiking and you will take a cable car to ascend the peak. Next, you will be accompanied to Santa Teresa, which is a Bohemian-style neighborhood in the city center full of well-preserved colonial houses and winding streets. Wandering in the old block, you may have a glimpse of the old Colonial Rio and some nice bars and artistic atmosphere will leave you a deep impression. After the visit, we will get back to the hotel.

Day 4 Fly from Rio de Janeiro to Foz do Iguazu, Enjoy a half day tour
This day, your Brazil escorted tours will move to the next destination, Foz do Iguazu. After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the airport for a flight to Foz do Iguazu. A professional guide and a driver will pick you up at Foz do Iguazu International Airport and escort you to the hotel for check-in. Today's first stop is the world's widest waterfalls Iguazu Falls. Stretching around 4 km (2.5 mi) wide, the falls are located on the border between Argentina and Brazil. You will be guided to see the spectacular falls on the Brazilian side. Besides, the largest bird park in South America which keeps more than 180 species of birds is also situated nearby. We will stop by this place and you can watch some beautiful tropical birds like parrots.

Day 5 Visit Iguazu Falls from Argentinian side
After enjoying a hearty breakfast, the guide and the driver will drive you through the border to Iguazu National Park, which takes less than one hour. As the Iguazu Falls is really magnificent and a natural wonder not to be missed, it is necessary to visit on both Brazilian and Argentina sides. The Argentina side waterfalls offer a closer angle to enjoy them and watching the Devil's Throat fall is definitely a once-a-lifetime experience. After lunch, you will take a Gran Aventura zodiac boat tour during the visit and fully enjoy the South America's largest falls. Afterward, the driver will transfer you back to the hotel in Foz do Iguazu.

Tips:As you will pass the border today, you are kindly advised to check with your local embassy in advance for a tourist visa.

Day 6 Fly from Foz do Iguazu to Salvador de Bahia
Your driver will escort you to the Foz do Iguacu International Airport for your flight to Salvador de Bahia. Upon arrival, a local driver will meet you at the airport and drive you to the hotel for check-in.

Located in the southeast of Brazil, Salvador de Bahia, one of the most important representative cities of Brazil, is an energetic city that features a blended culture of Brazil and Africa from food, dance, and music to religion and traditions. The city once served as Brazil's capital from the 16th to 18th centuries and a lot of traditional colonial buildings have been well preserved.

Day 7 Full day highlights tour in Salvador de Bahia
This is the final destination of the 9 days escorted Brazil tours. Salvador de Bahia is composed of the upper town and lower town. The upper town is an administrative region close to the hill while a port and business area make the lower town, and they are connected by the Elevator Lacerda. After breakfast, you will be guided to visit the upper town of Salvador de Bahia where you can see the largest Baroque style architecture complex, Pelourinh. The rolling cobblestone trails are lined with brilliant colorful buildings and old churches. Take a stroll around and soak in the sights.

After lunch, we will head to lower town to visit the most famous catholic church of Salvador de Bahia, the Church of Nosso Senhor do Bonfim built in 1745 that boasts gorgeous Gothic architecture. Then today's itinerary ends and we will go back to the hotel.

Day 8 Visit Cachoeira and a cigar factory in Salvador de Bahia
After breakfast, you will be guided to Cachoeira, a quaint old colonial village in a locality surrounded by tobacco and sugar plantations. After enjoying lunch, a unique tour to a cigar factory will be arranged to learn about the local life and specialty. In the late afternoon, we will go back to Salvador de Bahia.
