Welcome to Bogota, the capital of Colombia! Our guide, with our driver, will get to the airport for the pick-up on your arrival. After checking into the hotel, you'll be free to explore the city on your own.

We're going to see Laguna de Guatavita, the mysterious lake that has been said to be the location of the legend El Dorado. We suggest you wear comfortably and carry a raincoat, because we will hike for a short distance to reach the lake and it rains a lot there. We would get there in 1.5 hours from your hotel. After enjoy the beautiful lake, we'll go to the next attraction - Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, an hour's drive away. It is an architectural wonder built with salt rocks underground, as well as a regional sanctuary site.

Today our Bogota tour will extend to Mount Monserrate. You'll take a cable car from the foot to its top to admire the entire city of Bogota.

After getting down the mount, we'll visit famous museums in the old city La Candelaria. Before that, we'll go to Plaza de Bolivar first, the main square of La Candelaria. It is in the center of many colonial buildings. Then we'll walk to visit Museo de Botero, the art museum of famed Colombian artist Botero; and Gold Museum, or Museo del Oro, with large amounts of ancient gold articles.

Dropped off to Bogota airport, you need to fly to Bucaramanga. After being picked up at Bucaramanga airport, the driver and the guide will escort you to Barichara, with a drive of about 3 hours. Barichara is a typical colonial-style town with cobbled streets, distinctive houses, stores and handicraft workshops.

We are going to hike along Camino Real, the old road connects Barichara and Guane. On the hiking trip, we'll see majestic Andes Mountains, and trek across a cactus valley. 2-3 hours later, we will arrive at Guane town. There, we will visit Archaeology and Paleontology Museum, to witness plenty of fossils, some artifacts, an ancient girl mummy, etc. We'll also stroll around Guane to experience quiet atmosphere. Afterwards, go to the hotel near Chicamocha National Park, 1.5 hours' drive away.

Chicamocha National Park is the Grand Canyon of South America, with fountains and waterfalls. We will walk along the pathways with masses of ferns, and take the cable car to overlook the whole Chicamocha Canyon.

Then, you will be sent to Bucaramanga airport to fly to Medellin. In Medellin, you'll get a warm welcome and airport-hotel transfer.

We'll take the local transport tool Metrocable to Comuna 13, which is the special blocks with vivid graffiti. It's a colorful world. Next, we'll go to El Poblado, the park-like area in the south of Medellin. 

After today's sightseeing, Parque Lleras is recommended for you at night. You might go to the park if you like to experience Colombian nightlife, try beef offal soup and admire Salsa dance.

Today we start with a 1.5 hours' drive to the town Guatape. There, we are going to climb up the stairs of 649 steps to the top of El Peñol, the hill-like huge rock of a height of 200m (656ft.). There is a very large lake down the rock, dotted with green lush islets. In Guatape, we will also see unique houses painted with colored strips, and "zocalos" - the three-dimensional graffiti on the lower part of walls, seeming like the skirt of the house.

You'll be sent to José María Córdova Airport for the flight to Bogota. At Bogota airport, you shall take your homebound plane. Happy ride to return home!
