After breakfast on board, your private guide and driver will meet you on cruise and transfer to Abu Simbel with about a 3-hour ride to visit Temples of Abu Simbel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The majestic construction was completely carved out of the backward mountainside. After finishing the guided Abu Simbel tour, we will drive back to Aswan and re-embark our Nile Cruise. The cruise will sail to Kom Ombo, where we will visit the Kom Ombo Temple which is dedicated to the gods Sobek and Horus. Then the cruise will sail to Edfu and stay overnight there.

Temples of Abu Simbel: 230 kilometers (142.9 miles) away from Aswan, the magnificent Temple of Abu Simbel is located on the west bank of Nasser Lake. It is built to commemorate the Pharaoh Ramses II. The world-famous wonder happening here is the Sun Festival, falling on the birthday and sacrificial day of Ramses II on February 21th and October 21th respectively. Only on the two days, the sun rays can illuminate from the door to the large stone statue of Ramses II at the end of the temple through the 60-meter-long (197-foot-long) corridor. And it will never light up the statue of the God of Darkness next to it. Because of the construction of Aswan Dam, the temple has been cut intactly and moved 200 meters (656 feet) up. This is renowned as a classic case of world heritage protection. Though the scientists have made precise calculations, the present Sun Festive is delayed for one day, which is really a pity.
