Tours Around Berlin

Today you will visit the city center of East Germany, as well as important buildings and monuments including the Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt Square, Alexanderplatz, Nicholas Quarter, Rotes Rathaus (city hall), Berliner Fernsehturm (TV tower), Berliner Dom, Zeughaus (Berlin armory), German State Opera, Unter den Linden (Linden Avenue), Reichstag Building (parliament building) and Government Area. Then pay a visit to the Potsdamer Platz and Sony Center.

Also, we will tour the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, New National Gallery, Victory Column and Berliner Philharmonie not far away.

Located 27 kilometers southwest of Berlin, Potsdam is an old garrison city and famous for its gorgeous palaces and gardens. You will see the classic sights of Potsdam, such as Holländisches Viertel and the Russian Colony Alexandrovka. The next spot is the majestic Sanssouci Palace. You will tour it under the guidance of the guide. When today's plan of our Berlin trip is over, we will return to the hotel in Berlin.

After breakfast, we will drive to Dresden, the capital and largest city of Saxony. It is known as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe because of its many exquisite Baroque buildings. The guide will lead you to visit the new and old parts of Dresden. The historic old town center has magnificent palace buildings such as the Zwinger Palace, the Semper Opera House, the world-famous New Green Vault and the Residential Palace which is the Baroque masterpiece of the greatest treasure house of jewelry in Europe. You will also see one of highlights of the trips around Berlin - the Church of Our Lady.

Today, you will visit Meissen, a medieval town located in the charming Elbe Valley. During the 1.5-hour tour, you will learn about Meissen's long history and appreciate its beautiful scenery. Then tour the oldest Porcelain Manufactory in Europe, as well as the museum and manufacturing room inside.

The next destination of our trips around Berlin is Weimar, We'll see the city landmark - the commemorative images of Goethe and Schiller who are the most famous poets in Germany. Many ancient buildings in this city are listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. We will need 2 hours to visit this town.

Today we will learn about Leipzig. For centuries, Leipzig has always had an important influence on European business and life. We will spend 2 hours visiting the Gohlis Palace, the stadium and the iconic national battle monument "Volkerschlacht-denkmal". We will also explore the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig (Gewandhaus Concert Hall), the well-known Leipzig Opera House, St. Thomas Church, St. Nicholas Church, and Old Town Hall.

After breakfast, drive back to Berlin. You will be free to arrange the rest of the time. If you are interested, you can visit the most classic East Side Gallery area of the Berlin Wall, or pay a visit to the Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe to learn more about history.
