Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing! After reclaiming your luggage and clearing the customs, you will meet your guide waiting for you at the airport lobby, and be taken to your hotel by your driver. During the rest of the day, you can explore this capital city at your own leisurely pace.

Day 2 Beijing
After breakfast, you will attend a meeting with the other group members hosted by the tour guide at about 08:30 a.m.. Your guide will brief on your coming Lhasa to Kathmandu tour package, and answer your questions about the trip. When the meeting is concluded, you will start your guided Beijing tour.

The first stop is Tiananmen Square, located on the center of Beijing. As one of the largest city squares in the world, Tiananmen Square has great significance to Chinese history and revolution. Next, we will visit the Forbidden City, once the residence of the royals in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Besides the splendid structures, you will also see numerous ancient treasures and artworks.

Around noon, you will be taken to a popular restaurant for a la carte welcome lunch, which offers the famous local dish - the Peking Duck.

After lunch, we will continue to the Temple of Heaven with a history of over 590 years. It is a three-storey wooden altar, where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties prayed annually to the Heaven for good harvests. Then a Chinese Kung Fu Show at the Red Theater will end your Beijing tour for today.

Day 3 Beijing
Mutianyu Great Wall with a round-trip cable car, A toast with red wine on the wall. (B)
In the morning, we will set off to the splendid Mutianyu Great Wall, one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car is included to ascend and descend the wall. On the Great Wall, you will not only enjoy its splendid structures winding to the boundless sky, but also indulge in the surrounding vegetation. To celebrate this moment, we will toast with red wine that offered by us.

Due to the poor conditions of the nearby restaurants, lunch is not served today. We suggest you eat a big breakfast, or prepare some snacks for lunch. Your guide will also be ready to offer you suggestions. Afterwards, we will drive to a local market in downtown and leave you with some leisure time for your own exploration.

Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an
Summer Palace, Olympic Bird's Nest, A la carte lunch, Hutong Rickshaw Tour, Experience Chinese Paper Cutting, Fly to Xi'an, Airport-hotel transfer. (B+L)
After breakfast, we will set out for the Summer Palace, considered the perfect example of the traditional Chinese garden complexes. Used to be the royal garden in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the Summer Palace features traditional buildings, marble boats and beautiful lakes. After the stroll, we will have a photo stop at the Beijing National Stadium, famous for its unique appearance which looks like a Bird's Nest. Then, we will head to a fancy restaurant for a la carte lunch.

In the afternoon, we will arrange you a wonderful rickshaw tour in Hutongs - the narrow alleys formed between the ancient Siheyuans (a traditional type of Beijing residence). You will get close to the authentic lifestyle of the locals and also have chance to experience the Chinese paper cutting art. After concluding the Beijing tour, we will escort you to the airport for your flight to Xi'an. On arrival, you will meet your local guide at the airport, and be taken to your hotel.

Day 5 Xi'an
Terracotta Army, A local family visit and an authentic home-cooked lunch, Small Wild Goose Pagoda and Xi'an Museum, Tang Dynasty Show with dumpling dinner. (B+L+D)
Today your guided Lhasa Kathmandu tour package comes to Xi'an, which had been the capital of China in 13 dynasties. In the morning, we will take you to visit the Terracotta Army built 2,200 year ago. Renowned as the Eighth Wonder of the World, the Terracotta Army features the thousands of clay soldiers, horses and chariots, in the imitation of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang's army. After admiring the marvel, we will then pay a visit to a local family, which will serve you an authentic home-cooked lunch in a la carte style. You also have chance to take a free cooking class, and cook Chinese dishes with the hostess.

After lunch, we will visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, a 13-storey pagoda built in the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 AD) and the place where the Buddhist sutras and treasures brought by the Silk Road were stored. A visit to the Xi'an Museum is followed to appreciate the various cultural relics. Lastly, you will enjoy a wonderful night featuring a Tang Dynasty Show with the delicious dumpling dinner.

Day 6 Xi'an - Lhasa
Fly to Lhasa, Airport-hotel transfer, Acclimatize to the high altitude. (B)
Today we will proceed to the next destination - Lhasa in Tibet. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport, and board your flight. Upon arrival, your local guide will pick you up and then escort you to your hotel. During the rest of the day, it is recommended to acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. Having a good rest and eating in moderation are both helpful.

Day 7 Lhasa
Norbulingka Park, Sera Monastery, Viewing Platform of Yaowang Hill. (B+L)
This morning, we will head to the Norbulingka Park (the Park of Treasure), where the Dalai Lamas used to live in summer. This UNESCO World Heritage site was built in the 7th century. Its 347 well-designed rooms and numerous ancient treasures attracts visitors worldwide. The next stop is Sera Monastery, one of the six major Gelug monasteries in Tibet. Constructed in 1419, Sera Monastery has an abundant collection of cultural relics, Buddhist sculptures and beautiful frescos. At the end of the day, we will go to the Platform of Yaowang Hill to enjoy a picturesque distant view of the Potala Palace.

Day 8 Lhasa
Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, A Nunnery. (B+L)
After breakfast, we will move toward the highlight for today - Potala Palace masterly combined fort, palace and temple. This 370-year-old complex is the most prominent representative of the traditional Tibetan architecture, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. After that, we will proceed to the holiest temple in Tibet - Jokhang Temple with a history of over 1,350 years. Then we will take a stroll in the nearby Barkhor Street, an iconic religious circumambulation where you will see many ancient Tibetan buildings and gain an insight into the Tibetan culture. Your Tibet to Kathmandu tour package for today will be ended at Anitsangkung Nunnery, dating back to the 7th century.

Day 9 Lhasa - Kathmandu

In the morning, we will escort you to Lhasa Airport and help you board your flight to Kathmandu. On arrival, your local guide will pick you up and arrange you an airport-hotel transfer. The rest of the day is free for your own exploration.

Day 10 Kathmandu - Bhaktapur - Kathmandu
Pashupatinath Temple, Bhaktapur Durbar Square including Nyatapola Temple & Dattatreya Temple, Changu Narayan Temple. (B)
After breakfast, we will drive to Bhaktapur, and our Lhasa to Kathmandu tour will start at a UNESCO World Heritage site - the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple built in the 17th century. It is situated on the banks of the Bagmati River, a famous cremation site. Next, we will drive to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the biggest square in this best-preserved ancient city of Nepal. Your guide will lead you to visit the iconic Nyatapola Temple rich in exquisite statues of deities and animals; and the 15th-century Dattatreya Temple, built of the timber from a single tree. Lastly, we will head to the Changu Narayan Temple, a Hindu temple located on a high hill. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site, which holds many ancient delicate figures. From here, you will also enjoy a distant view of the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 11 Kathmandu - Patan - Kathmandu

Swayambhunath Stupa is today's first stop. With the history of over 2,500 years, this Buddhist temple is not only a popular attraction famous for the monkeys appearing from time to time and the unique structures, but also a sacred pilgrimage site among the locals. Afterwards, we will drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square to see the ancient buildings in Newari style. Here we will pay a visit to a Buddhist temple full of religious legends - the Kumari Temple, where you will see the living Goddess. And stop by the Nepal's highest Hindu temple - Taleju Temple built in 1549, and the Kal Bhairav, popular for the enormous stone sculpture of the Lord Kala Bairav. Then follows the Boudhanath Stupa, a must-see attraction in Nepal. It is a massive Buddhist temple features a white hemispheric and a golden spired top, which was decorated with five representative elements of Buddhism. Today's trip will end at the Golden Temple located on the Patan Durbar Square. This 12th-century Buddhist temple will feast your eyes by its gilded structures, the fine frescos, and the finely-carved golden statues.

Today is the last day of our Lhasa to Kathmandu tour package. In the morning, our driver will transfer you to the Kathmandu Airport, where you will board your homebound flight. It is our pleasure to have you in this group, and we hope you have had a memorable journey!
