West and South Iceland

When you land on Keflaviik International Airport, our driver guide will wait for you at the exit. Then you will be transferred to the hotel for rest. After that you can stroll around in the Reykjavik city. There are some places you can go, like the Sun Voyager sculpture, Hallgrimskirkja Church, etc, so you can get a first impression of Iceland.

After having breakfast your driver guide will pick up you at the hotel lobby and then drive through the tunnel below Hvalfjordur Fjord to Borgarnes Waterfall about 75 km to the north-west. After arriving at the parking lot, we will walk a short distance to visit the fall. Next, we will drive to the ancient church in Budir, and starting here we will take a walk along the Ocean Coast. The next highlight is The Snaefellsnes Peninsula, hailed as "Epitome of Iceland". After visiting Snaefellsjokull Glacier we will arrive at the small fishing village of Artnarstapi. Afterwards, tour around Londrangar Rocky Cliffs and Djupalonssandur Beach, also known as "Black Lava Pearl Beach" because it has been covered with black lava rocks since the last volcanic eruption in AD 200. Finally we are going to visit the most famous attractions in Snaefellsjokull, Kirkjufell Mountain and Kirkjufellsfoss Waterfall at the foot of mountain. After the visit we will go back to Reykjavik by car.

Today we will follow the most classic travel route, Golden Circle in Iceland, including Thingvellir National Park, where the Eurasian and American plates meet. You can experience the magical feeling of stepping on two continents at the same time here! Then we will go to visit the Geysir Hot Spring and Gullfoss Waterfall. You can take a bath at the Secret Lagoon to relax. Finally we will drive to Hella and stay overnight.

This morning we will visit three waterfalls of the supreme beauty: Seljalandsfoss waterfall with its nearby Gljufrabui waterfall, and then go to Skogafoss Waterfall. Unlike the other two famous waterfalls, Gljufrabui is relatively unknown and hidden in a canyon, where you can see water pours down from the roof of the cave, giving it a different appeal. Later we will visit Dyrholaey, an arched channel, before arriving at Reynisfjara Beach, one of Iceland's most famous beaches. Finally, the driver guide will escort you to explore Reinisfjall Mountain and Fjadrargljufur Canyon. Check in a local hotel after the sightseeing.

Today we're going to explore Skaftafell Park, a paradise for hikers. You can take part in an optional tour to Svartifoss here, or join in an ice cave tour if it's winter season. After that, we will head to Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon with typical Icelandic characteristics of ice, lakes, glaciers, black beaches and so on, where you can take Zodiac or Amphibian boat to closely see the icebergs. After our tour at Diamond Beach we will go back to Reykjavik.

The west and south Iceland tour will draw to the end today. If your flight takes off in the afternoon, maybe you could take a stroll around the city in the morning, or go to Blue Lagoon to take a bath in this famous natural hot spring. Please let us know your flight time and schedule, and the driver will send you to the airport three hours before your plane takes off.
