Best Mozambique Tour

You will be greeted at Maputo International Airport by our representative upon arrival and then you will be transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day will be at your disposal. 

Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, is famous for its well-preserved Portuguese colonial architecture. Once known as the "Riviera" of southern Africa, Maputo city sits on a hill overlooking the sparkling Maputo Bay and boasts beautiful art deco architecture and a unique setting.  It is well equipped with a wide selection of hotels, supermarkets, restaurants, and streets lined with outdoor cafes. You can stroll down the flower-lined streets of the Old Town's Baixa neighborhood, explore the Praca da Independencia Square and the Neoclassical City Hall, then view the distinctive bronze-domed Maputo Railway Station.

Today you will have a half-day guided tour in this unique historical city. You can choose between morning and afternoon You will visit the Fortress, the Central Market, the Museum of Natural History, the Railway Station and FEIMA curio market during the tour. The entry fees to museum and fortress have been included. You will also pass by the Maputo City Hall, the Cathedral, the Botanical Gardens and the Iron House. Please be noted that the museum is closed on Mondays. After that, your guide will escort you back to your hotel, and the rest of the time will be free for you.

You will be collected and driven to Maputo Airport for an early flight to Vilanculos today, and the air duration is about 75 mins. Upon arrival, your local private driver will pick you up at the Vilanculos Airport and then transfer you directly to Vilanculos Harbour to board the cruise to the jewel-like Bazaruto Island, a piece of paradise in the Indian Ocean. After the 45 mins’ boat transfer, you will arrive and then check into the beach house we booked for you. Tonight, you will stay at Bazaruto Island.

After a delicious breakfast, you can spend your day however you want. Your villa offers a wide variety of water sports, as well as diving and fishing. The luxurious spa offers a range of elaborate treatments to rejuvenate even the most jaded soul, with 360-degree views of the Indian Ocean. When taking these activities, you will be accompanied by a qualified guide. Afterwards, you could relax on the beach.

Today, you can continue to partake in various leisure and adventure activities. There are several non-motorized watersport activities including deep sea fishing, sailing, traditional dhow excursions, snorkeling and diving. Today will be the last day of your best Mozambique tour. You will first be transferred by boat to Vilanculos Harbour, and then be driven to the airport for your departure or onward flight. Wish you a pleasant journey.
