Beach Holiday of Mozambique

You will be picked up at Vilanculos Airport by your local driver upon arrival and then be transferred southwards along the coastline to Tofo, which is situated in the south of Inhambane. The road condition is good and you will pass through a scenic landscape dotted with many picturesque local villages. After about 4-hour scenic drive, you will check into a comfortable guesthouse with wonderful sea views. It is located on the main beach in Tofo, approximately 20km (12 miles) from Inhambane. After some rest at the hotel, you can have a leisurely stroll along the beach or have a dip in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.

The whole day today will be left free for you to explore this area. Tofo is the most popular beach in Mozambique, which offers excellent activities, such as snorkeling, diving, fishing and some watersports. It is also an ideal destination for animal lovers as it is home to manta rays and whale sharks. Turtles are also often seen, and do Humpback whales during the winter months. You can take part in these activities, bask in the sun while listening to the ocean, or enjoy the services provided by the guesthouse.

After hearty breakfast, you will be driven back to Vilanculos and check into the hotel there. Vilanculos is a laid-back town with some lovely beaches surrounded by clear turquoise water. It is equipped with all the amenities needed for a wonderful seaside holiday. This bustling coastal town serves as a great base for exploring the islands of Bazaruto Archipelago. You can enjoy the rest of the day under the sun on the idyllic beaches or browse the local market to see the real side of this seaside town.

Today is a leisure day in Vilanculos. You can decide where to explore and what activities to partake. Taking a trip on the luxury private speedboat to have a romantic sandbank picnic, snorkeling, scuba, surfing, fishing and dhow cruises (optional tours and at your own expense) are all good choices. Alternatively, you may also treat yourself to a massage, relax on the beach, or enjoy the great view of the Indian Ocean in the tropical garden.

After checking out of the hotel, you will be transferred to Vilanculos Harbour to take a 45-minute boat ride to Bazaruto Archipelago. Upon arrival, check into your private beach villa we booked for you. Fringed by golden beaches and blue seas, Bazaruto Island is a place where you can enjoy the slower pace of island life. Your villa has all the features and you can partake in various leisure and adventure activities here. Tonight, you will enjoy dinner and stay in this island style resort.

After a scrumptious breakfast, you can spend the whole day as you want. Amenities at the island resort include restaurants, bars, swimming pools and an activity center that offers a wide variety of water sports, as well as scuba diving and fishing. You can choose to take the activities arranged by the resort, or enjoy a spa treatment with 360-degree views of the Indian Ocean.
