Your Luoyang tour from Beijing today includes the Chariot and Horse Pits, the Luoyang Museum and the Longmen Grottoes. The Chariot and Horse Pits are the accessory pits to a tomb of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770 - 256 BC). A visit to the pits will give you a general knowledge of the unique funeral custom at that time. Not far from the Pits is the Luoyang Museum, a cultural landmark of the city. There are more than 400,000 cultural relics collected in the museum and nearly 11,000 are on the display. The large storage of historical items and all kinds of exhibitions will show you the glorious culture and history of this ancient city. The Longmen Grottoes, one of the four greatest grottoes in China, is regarded as the highest peak of China’s stone carving art by UNESCO. The Buddhist statues with various gestures and expressions are densely dotted here, reflecting the splendid Buddhist culture from the 4th century to the 12th century.

Day 3 Visit Shaolin Temple, Airport or Railway Station See-off
Today, we are going to visit the famous world heritage site, the Shaolin Temple along with the Pagoda Forest. Initially built in 495 during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386 - 534 AD), the Shaolin Temple is noted as the birthplace of the Shaolin Martial Art. The temple, located at the foot of Mt. Songshan among the dense forest, is also the cradle of Chinese Zen Buddhism. The Pagoda Forest is one of the most important attractions in Shaolin Temple. Covering an area of over 20,000 square meters (about 5 acres), the Pagoda Forest consists of 231 ancient tomb pagodas. Additionally, we will also watch a wonderful Shaolin Kung Fu show here, and even see the children from the Martial Art school learning and practising Kungfu in the playground.

After the completion of your Beijing to Luoyang tour, we will transfer you to the airport or the railway station and see you off there for your onward journey.

We are flying into Beijing from Canada and plan to apply for the 144hr Visa. We then fly Beijing->Hong Kong. A week later, we are flying from South Korea->Beijing->Canada when the layover in Beijing is 6hr, where we do not leave the airport. Is this eligible for 144hr Visa based on the Visa rules?

CANADA -> Beijing (144hr Visa) -> HONG KONG
SOUTH KOREA -> Beijing (24hr airport-only) -> CANADA

Thank you!

Both qualify as separate transits. The stop on the way home you will only be given the 24 hour version. The full 144 hour is only granted when scheduled stop is over 24 hours

I am travelling to Indonesia from Canada with a 1 hr layover in Hong Kong.
6 weeks later I am flying to Beijing from Chiang Mai for a 3 day stay, then a flight from Beijing to Tokyo with a 2 hr layover in Hong Kong. Is this too many layovers, cities and time in between to qualify for 144 visa free stay for my 3 days?

I think you mean Yun Tai Shan?
If so, yes, you can have a day trip there. You are suggested to take a bus to Jiaozuo first, and then take a taxi or private to the mountain.
