At 18:00, your guide will pick you up from your hotel on time and escort you to the Shiliupu Wharf by a private car with a driver. Shiliupu Wharf is the boarding point of our Shanghai night cruise over the Huangpu River, the mother river of Shanghai. The whole cruise lasts for about an hour, during which you can capture the most beautiful night views of Shanghai outlined by colorful lights. Over the river, you will see many bridges of different shapes. On its west bank, more well known as the Bund, various western style buildings tell the past days of the city while on its east bank, the modern skyscrapers seem to pierce the sky and show you the present cityscape of Shanghai.

After disembarking, we will have a leisurely stroll along the Bund. Although only 1.5 km (0.9 mi) long, it was the richest place in Shanghai and even the whole China in the early 20th century, reputed as the "Wall Street in the Far East" back then. The well preserved exotic building cluster here is in many styles, including gothic, roman, classic, renaissance and baroque, but the exterior color is mostly yellowish brown, so looking harmonious as a whole. Opposite the Bund across the Huangpu River, is the currently richest place in Shanghai, with many modern style skyscrapers, including Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Tower, Jinmao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center. Many of world's top 500 enterprises have set up their offices there. On the Bund, we can also stroll among the trees and flowerbeds to appreciate the garden arts of this modern metropolis and breathe in some fresh air.

Then, the guide and the driver will lead you to the last stop of this Shanghai night tour, Xintiandi. It gathers many Shikumen residences, a unique style of Shanghai folk residence formed in early 20th century combining western architectural style and traditional southern China architectural style. Pay attention to their front gates, which were cherished the most by their owners. They are generally framed with stones, which is the name origin of Shikumen, literally "stone framed gate". But the carvings on the stones are different one from another. Nowadays, many of the Shikumen residences have been redecorated inside and opened to the public as clothes stores, handicrafts shops, cafes, and restaurants, bringing some artsy atmosphere. Pubs and bars also abound here, making Xintiandi one of the most popular places at night in Shanghai. If interested, you can step in the handicrafts shops to select some creative stuff as gifts for families or friends. You may also order a cup of coffee or wine, have a seat and immerse yourself in the bustling nightlife of Shanghai.
