Day 1 Arrival in Shanghai
Sincere greetings & airport-hotel transfer. Huangpu River Cruise, the Bund and Nanjing Road.

When getting off the plane and clearing the customs, you will meet your guide at the exit of the airport holding a sign with your name on it. After a warm greeting, we will start the Shanghai Xiamen tour with a memorable Huangpu River Cruise. On the west bank of Huangpu River, known as the Bund, stand 52 completely distinguished classical buildings in Western styles which are also vital historical relics of Chinese modern history. On the east bank are skyscrapers which are the miniature of modernization construction. Then some free time will be left for you to explore the Bund at a close distance. Finally, we will go to Nanjing Road, the gathering place of department stores. With abundant goods, it is a paradise of shopping lovers. 
Day 2 Shanghai
Zhujiajiao Water Town, Yu Garden, Tianzifang. (B)

After breakfast, we will drive for about 1 hour to Zhujiajiao Water Town. There, we will go sightseeing Qing Dynasty Post Office, Fangsheng Bridge (Setting-fish-free Bridge), Kezhi Garden… The small bridges and flowing stream is full of ancient charm, showing the features of water towns in south China. After leaving Kezhi Garden, a boat ride to Great North Avenue is arranged for you. There, we will leave you some free time to taste local delicacies as lunch. You can choose some suitable dishes according to the guide's recommendations. 

Afterwards, we will return to the downtown area and visit Yu Garden and Yu Garden Bazaar. Yu Garden is a private garden initially built over 450 years ago with pavilions, rockeries, various plants, etc. Now, this classic Chinese garden is mainly composed of Sansui Hall, Wanhua Chamber, Dianchun Hall, Huijing Chamber, Yuhua Hall and Inner Garden. If you want to buy some gifts for your family or friends, Yu Garden Bazaar will not let you down. The final stop today is Tianzifang. This cultural art district has gathered plenty of creative stores, art galleries and photographic exhibitions.

Day 3 Shanghai - Xiamen
A high speed train to Xiamen. Sincere greetings & railway station-hotel transfer. (B)
Today, we will transfer to the train station for the high speed train to Xiamen. Upon arrival, you will be met at the train station and escorted to the hotel by the local guide. Then the rest time of the day is your own free time.

Day 4 Xiamen
Shuzhuang Garden, Haitian Tanggou Villa, Huihe Stone Cultural Park. (B)

Our Shanghai Xiamen tour in Xiamen will start with Shuzhuang Garden in the south of Gulangyu Island. Facing the sea and leaning back on Riguang Rock, Shuzhuang Garden is well laid out based on the coastal and mountainous landscape. We will also visit the Piano Museum in the Shuzhuang Garden, which collects a wide varieties of precious ancient pianos brought from Australia, including the world's earliest upright piano, oldest and biggest vertical piano, and the rare gold-plated piano. The next stop is Haitian Tanggou Villa. The most characteristic main building is an archaized palatial architecture with large roof. Here, we will also watch the puppet show and Nanyin music performance. The lunch will be at your own disposal. But the guide will recommend you some featured local restaurants and dishes. 

In the afternoon, we will go back to Xiamen downtown to visit the Huihe Stone Cultural Park. Several themed areas have been set there such as Chinese Stone Art Gallery, Stone Carving Museum, Hall of Rare and Delicate Stones and Stone-shadow Carving of BRICS. A unique show by local Hui'an women will also be arranged for you here.

Day 5 Departure from Xiamen
Tan Kah Kee Memorial Museum, Ao Yuan, South Putuo Temple, Hulishan Fortress, Zengcuo'an. Airport transfer & see you off. A nice journey home! (B)

After breakfast, we will head to the southeastern seashore of Jimei where the Tan Kah Kee Memorial Museum and Ao Yuan are located. Tan Kah Kee is a famous overseas Chinese who was born in Jimei. Ao Yuan is mainly composed of a corridor, Jimei Liberation Monument and the Tomb of Tan Kah Kee. Afterwards, follow the guide to South Putuo Temple, one of the Buddhist holy lands in southern Fujian Province. Hulishan Fortress built in Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911) is the next stop where you can see the ancient firecrackers, guns, swords and so on. The fortress has combined the architectural styles of Europe and that in Ming & Qing Dynasties. The last stop of the Shanghai Xiamen tour is China's most poetic fishing village Zengcuo'an (Tsan-tshù-uann) where stand large number of ancient houses built with red bricks and mansions in Southern Asian style. In the end, the guide will escort you to the airport and see you off.

Except the scenic spots in downtown Xiamen, the earthen buildings (Tulou) around the city are also quite distinctive. If you are willing to stay here one day more and are interested in them, please contact your travel consultant so that he or she could make corresponding arrangement for you.
