Historic Peru Tour with Machu Picchu

Welcome to Cusco! Our English-speaking guide will meet you at the airport with a sign. After a warm greeting, the driver and the guide will transfer you to the arranged hotel and check in. Then we will lead you to visit Plaza de Armas Square and Qorikancha (the Temple of Sun) - the product of the communication between Inca culture and Spanish colonial culture. After, we will come to Inca site Sacsayhuaman to enjoy the magnificent stone wall buildings.

Today, we will drive to Chinchero, the hometown of Peruvian weaving, where we can visit the well-preserved Inca Walls on the main square, admire beautiful Colonial Church and learn the weaving methods handed down by ancestors from the artists in a local textile center. After that, ride through the rolling hills to Moray to see the Concentric Terraces of the Inca ruins. Come to Maras Salt Mines, where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of the mountain covered by more than 3,000 pure white salt fields. Then continue to drive through the picturesque Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo, where we will make a stop for lunch. Lunch will be on your own, and the guide is happy to give you suggestions.

After lunch, we will escort you to the railway station for you to take the train to Aguas Calientes. It takes about 1.5 hours by train. On the way, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. Upon arrival, the hotel staff will pick you up and lead you to the hotel by foot, which is very close to the train station.

In the morning, our local guide will pick you up at the appointed time to start today's Machu Picchu tours. He/She will accompany you to walk to the nearby bus station to take bus for about 30 minutes to Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. As the largest remains of the Inca Empire, it's also a UNESCO's World Heritage site. During about two hours' sightseeing, the guide will introduce you the profound history of this place. Afterwards, take bus back to Aguas Calientes. We leave the lunch on your own.

After lunch, you need to go to the railway station by yourself and return to Ollantaytambo by train. Upon arrival, our guide and the driver will pick you up at the station and drive to the hotel near Urubamba village in about 30 minutes.

After breakfast, drive about 50 minutes to Pisac. First, visit Pisac Archaeological Park, where we can overlook the beautiful terraces and the mountains of Sacred Valley. Later, come to a market in Pisac Town, where local residents sell varieties of exquisite handicrafts and local products. On the way back to Cusco, we will visit the Weaving Center - Awanacancha; here, we also have an opportunity to see the unique camel family animals in the Andes, such as alpaca, llama, and guanaco.

Today, please get up early and have a big breakfast. After breakfast, we will drive about 2 hours to Mollepata. After a short break, continue driving for 1 hour to Soraypampa, where we will hike upward for about 2 hours to Humantay lagoon. When you arrive, you have enough time to enjoy the charming scenery, overlooking the snow covered Humantay Mountain. After the visit, we will hike back to Soraypampa, and drive back to Mollepata for lunch. Finally, escort you back to Cusco.

In the morning, the guide and the driver will pick you up at the hotel on time and take you to bus terminal, where you'll take the bus for about 10 hours to Puno. This is a shared bus tour journey. En route, stop at Andahuaylillas first to visit the San Pedro Chapel, a church that combining the style of Catholicism and Andean religion. Continue to take the bus to Raqchi to visit Inca Temple, which is dedicated to commemorating Wiracocha - the creator of the Inca mythology. Lunch will be served in the cafeteria of Sicuani town.

Later, take the bus to the highest spot of this bus tour journey, La Raya with 4,335 meters (about 14,222 feet) height, to overlook snow mountains. You may also see llamas and alpacas groups. Finally, stop in Pucara to visit the Inca cultural heritage. Upon arrival in Puno, our Puno guide and the driver will meet you at the bus station and transfer you to the hotel.

In the morning, your guide and the driver will pick you up in the hotel at the agreed time and escort you to the wharf. The tour guide will then accompany you to the legendary Uros Islands by motorboat to visit and learn about the life of Uros people. The island is made of floating reeds, so also known as Floating Islands. We will continue to take the motorboat for about 3 hours to Taquile Island and have a family visit with a simple lunch. After all visits, escort you back to the hotel.
