Wildlife Safari in Rwanda

Welcome to join our Rwanda safari tours. After you arrive in Kigali, our driver guide will pick you up with a placard and transfer you to the hotel for a rest. Afternoon, the guide will accompany you to have a short city tour. We'll mainly visit Kigali Genocide Memorial to know the history of the cruel genocide in 1994 in Rwanda and how people were cured.

After breakfast, the driver guide will drive for 3 hours to transfer you to Akagera National Park. The park is home to Big Five and many mammals like elephant, buffalo, the endangered black rhinoceros and 11 kinds of antelope. Drive on the vast grassland, you can spot many wild animals and scenic views under the guidance of the park guide. Aquatic animals like hippos and crocodile can be found in the lakes and rivers, and the zebra and giraffe wander on the open acacia dotted land. The nearly 500 kinds of birds in the park also offer you amazing bird watching experience. After game drive, we'll drive back to Kigali.

In the morning, we'll leave Kigali and drive along the winding road around a Thousand Hills for 3 hours to Lake Kivu, and during the journey you can appreciate the breath-taking views of Rwanda. Arrive in lakeside Gisenyi and check in the hotel. Afternoon the guide will take you to visit the extraordinarily beautiful Lake Kivu by boat. The grand inland sea is surrounded by green terrace. We'll sail to the lakeshore Kibuye for sightseeing. After the boat tour, go back to the hotel.

In the early morning after check-out, we'll drive for 1.5 hours to the home to Majestic Mountain Gorillas, Musanze. Then the guide will escort you to experience cultural activities and communicate with local indigenous people. You can also enjoy the traditional performance of the local dancers in Iby'Iwacu cultural village, observe the making process of local banana brew and learn to cook Rwanda dishes if interested.

Afternoon, go to Kinigi to visit Red Rocks initiatives arts gallery. You can participate in the artistic creation and know how the artistic work are used to protect gorillas. After, go back to Volcanoes National Park and check in the hotel. The driver guide can stop on the way anytime for photos.

Today's wildlife safari will be the most memorable part of your journey. You will meet rare and endangered mountain gorillas. Remember to fully charge the camera in advance and prepare an extra battery for taking pictures. In the morning, our driver-guide will send you to Volcanoes headquarters on time. The park guide will introduce you the gorilla trekking precautions and then accompany you to go deep into the tropical rainforest. According to the activities of gorillas, the hike will last for about 2-6 hours. After meeting mountain gorillas, you can spend 1 hour with them, and then return to the park office to receive the gorilla trekking certificate. In the evening, visit the Dian Fossey center to learn about Dian Fossey's efforts to protect the environment and experience the conservation work of gorillas. At the end of the day, send you back to the hotel.

After a leisurely breakfast, our driver-guide will drive for 2.5 hours to send you back to Kigali. According to your need and outbound flight schedule, we can stop at Kigali craft market for souvenir shopping, and then transfer you to the airport and see you off.
