Slovakia Castles and Nature Tour

Welcome to Slovakia! Our driver will pick you up when you arrive at Bratislava or Vienna airport. Then you will be transferred to the hotel in Bratislava, which will take around 20 -55 minutes due to the different distance from the airports. Bratislava is the capital and the biggest city of the country. After checking in, you could take a stroll around on your own in the downtown.

In the free morning, you could take a walk around the neighborhood. Our guide will pick you up at your hotel at 12:00 to start the Bratislava Grand City Tour. We will pass by Offices of Government, Presidential Palace, Slavin Monument, and finally arrive at Bratislava Castle. Built between the 9th and 18th centuries, the castle underwent renovation in 1956-1964 and is now open to the public as a museum. We can stand on the hills outside the main building of the castle and have a good view of the Danube River and the whole city. After walking down from the castle, we will visit Bratislava Main Square, Old Town Hall, National Opera and Theater, St. Martin's Cathedral from outside. Today's tour will end at around 15:00 pm, and you are free to do whatever you want during the rest of the day.

At around 9:30 am, our driver will send you to the Bratislava train station to take the train to Zilina, arriving in 2.5 hours. The local driver will wait for you at the platform. After picking you up, start the Zilina Grand City Tour. We will first visit the oldest wooden church of St. Stephan King of Zavodie and then visit Town Hall, Square and Parish Church of St Paul. Afterwards, drive to Budatin Castle. It was built in the 13th century at the meeting point of the Rivers Vah and Kysuca and was rebuilt to a Renaissance architectural style in the mid-16th century. It is now used as a museum. Today's tour will end at about 16:00. After the tour, we will send you back to the hotel.

On the 4th day, the driver guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby at about 9:00 am and then start today's sightseeing. First we will drive to Orava Region - one of the most representative regions in Slovakia, where you can learn about the rich cultural traditions and folk culture. Orava Castle is a famous attraction in the region and one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia. Built in the mid-13th century, it began as a simple castle with a wooden upper part and a stone lower part. The castle is also known as the "Cliff Castle" because it sits on a cliff above the Olaka River. Climb to the top of the castle and you could have an excellent view. In the afternoon we will drive to Zuberec to visit an open-air museum. At the end of the day, send you back to the hotel.

The first spot we are going to visit today is Bojnice. The driver guide will transfer you there and accompany you to have a short walk and visit Bojnice Castle. It is a hilltop neo-Gothic castle with a museum, landscaped gardens and caves. In the afternoon, we will visit Cicmany, which is protected by UNESCO with beautiful environment and fresh air. Here, each house has a unique picture decoration with bright black and white color on the exterior wall. After that we will head to Rajecka Lesna to see a famous piece of wood artwork with the theme of "Birth of the Baby Jesus". The last stop will be Rajecke Teplice Spa Town, which is famous for its hot springs.

Our driver guide will pick you up at the hotel and send you to Chleb in the morning. Then he or she will lead you to take a cable car and have a short excursion to Snilovske Sedlo. After the hiking we will drive you to Zilina Railway Station so you can take the train back to Bratislava. Upon arrival the local driver will send you back to the hotel.
