Upon arrival at Zurich Airport, you need to follow the signs to the railway station and take the train to your destination, Lucerne. The train to Lucerne runs every hour and takes 70 minutes. Check in the hotel after arriving, then you can visit the famous Chapel Bridge and Lion Monument if you still have energy, or take a boat tour on Lake Lucerne in the evening to enjoy the stunning sunset views.

After having breakfast, you may walk or take a taxi to the railway station and catch a 2.5 hour train to Grindelwald. It departs every hour and you need to make a transfer at Interlaken Ost. The train runs along the first segment of the famous Golden Pass Line. Sitting in the sightseeing carriage, you can admire many beautiful scenes, such as the Lake Brienz. After arriving and checking in the hotel in Grindelwald, you could go to visit the glacier village of Grindelwald. It is located in a green valley surrounded by mountains and you can see the Eiger north face and the Wetterhorn clearly.

Today's glacier tour will be the highlight of your 5-day best Switzerland tour. After breakfast, you are advised to head to Grindelwald station to take a 1.5-hour cogwheel train to the mountain top. Arriving at Europe's highest railway station with an altitude of 3,454 meters, you will see the Europe's longest glacier Aletsch Glacier. If you are interested in the outdoor activities, you can take part in Alpine Sensation Round Tour, or Plateau with walks in the Eternal Snow. At the end of the tour, please return to Grindelwald by train, which leaves every half an hour.

Today's schedule is relatively tight, so it is suggested you set off early to take the train to Zermatt. The train runs every hour and the journey takes about three hours. The train runs along Lake Thun and crosses the 34 km long Loetschberg Base Tunnel before reaching the famous Zermatt at the foot of Matterhorn. After a break at the hotel in Zermatt, you can take the cog railway train, which runs every 24 minutes, to Gornergrat at 3089 meters, which takes about 38 minutes. Gornergrat is the best place to admire Matterhorn and glacier-covered peaks. At the end of the tour, return to Zermatt by train.
