Swiss Jungfraujoch Adventure

Our guide will wait for you in the lobby of Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel, then depart at around 8:00 am. Jungfraujoch is one of the highest peaks of the Alps with an altitude of 4,158 meters and stretching for 18 kilometers. The guide will first lead you to visit the magnificent Mountain World of the Bernese Oberland. Then we plan to board the Cogwheel train at Lauterbrunnen to Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe. The highlight of this train trip is the beautiful Ice Palace on the way. Then you'll have a chance to overlook the Aletsch Glacier, the largest one in Switzerland, at Sphinx Observation Hall and admire the snow-capped peaks of neighboring countries. After the Jungfraujoch tour, we will move to Interlaken and check in a hotel there.

You are free to arrange your itinerary today. Interlaken is a famous tourist town in Switzerland. It is located at the foot of the towering peaks of the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau, flanked by the Lakes of Thun and Brienz. In addition to its stunning natural scenery, the buildings of Interlaken are also quite ingenious. The lovely cabins and colorful brick tiles on the buildings let you have the feeling of being in the fairy tale world. You can stroll around the small stores, jewelry shops or explore gourmet restaurants. The guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at about 6 pm. to inform you about tomorrow's schedule.

After breakfast we will drive along the beautiful Lake of Thun to the capital Berne. The city sits against the majestic Alps at the bend of the River Aare. After visiting the old district of the city, we will head south to scenic Gruyeres passing by a dairy farm. Here we will visit the cheese factory and taste the famous Gruyere cheese. Later we are heading to Vaud Riviera, arriving at today’s destination Geneva. Surrounded by mountains and lakes, this beautiful city is suitable for travel all year round and is home to the headquarters of a large number of world institutions.

First of all we will visit the beautiful lakeside park, and the famous Palace of Nations. Then we'll leave Geneva and drive to Montreux. On the way, you'll see Chillon Castle, the 13th century building get famous for Lord Byron's Poem. After arriving at Tasch in the afternoon, we will take the cogwheel train to Zermatt and stay one night there.

In the free morning, you could tour old farmhouses, go shopping in fine shops, or take the cogwheel train to Gornergrat to see the snow-capped peaks. At noon we will take the train to Tasch. Upon arrival, change to a bus to travel through Nufenen Pass to Airolo. Finally we will return to Zurich by bus or train at about 6:30 pm.
