Day 1 Arrival in Beijing
This impressive 13-day private China - Thailand tour starts today! Upon landing at Beijing Capital International Airport, you will meet our guide outside the customs. After a warm greeting, the guide will escort you to the hotel and help you check in. The rest of the day is free for your own arrangement.

Day 2 Beijing
Great Wall of China
This morning, we will arrange you a visit to the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square is the world's largest city square occupying an area of 440,000 square meters (526,000 square yards). The Forbidden City was the imperial palace of 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368 - 1911). Besides of solemn crimson buildings, a large amount of national treasures of different periods are displayed in some of the luxury halls, such as porcelains, timepieces, seals, lacquers, arms and armor, as well as jewelry.

At noon, you will be served the authentic Chinese food at an elegant restaurant. The a la carte lunch costs CNY 150.00 and is included in our price. In the afternoon, you will explore the Temple of Heaven in the company of our guide to have a better understanding of the national sacrificial rituals in the old times.

Day 3 Beijing
Mutianyu Great Wall with a round-trip cable car, Olympic Bird's Nest. (B)
Summer Palace
Today, we will set out a tour to the famous Mutianyu Great Wall, which is considered as one of the most spectacular parts of Great Wall of China. Since climbing the Great Wall is very energy-consuming, we have included the round-trip cable car for you. It is also suggested you have a big breakfast at the hotel. After that, our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you directly to Mutianyu.

Lunch is not arranged by us. You may have some fast food at KFC or Subway at the foot of the Great Wall. Our guide is also glad to offer you some suggestions.

After that, we will head back to downtown and drive by the National Stadium to take great photos of this Olympic venue. Then visit a local market to have fun.

Day 4 Beijing - Xian
Summer Palace, Hutong visit. A high speed train to Xian. Railway station-hotel transfer. (B)
Today, we are going to spend a leisure morning at the Summer Palace, which was the summer resort of the imperial family during the Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911) and mainly consists of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill. After that, you will be accompanied to visit some hutong alleys and grey-tiled traditional courtyards.

Your private Beijing tour will end here and then our guide will transfer you to Beijing West Railway Station to catch a high speed train bound for Xian. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet you outside the train station and escort you to the hotel for check-in.

Day 5 Xian
Terracotta Warriors Museum, Provincial History Museum, City Wall. (B)
Terracotta Warriors
After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at the hotel and deliver you to the Terracotta Army Museum. It is the funeral object of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 - 210 BC) with over 8,000 pottery warriors and more than 100 chariots reproducing the military array of the Qin troop. Local restaurants around the museum are usually of poor quality and high price. It is suggested you have some fast food at the nearby Subway, Dicos, or KFC.

In the afternoon, you will be guided to Shaanxi History Museum to delve into the profound ancient civilization of the province by viewing over 370,000 precious relics. Our guide will brief you background knowledge of these exhibits to help you get a better understanding. After that, a visit to the City Wall will be arranged. It is the best-preserved city wall in China and has guarded the old city of Xian for over 600 years.

Today's private Xian tour will start with the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, which was built in the Jianfu Temple for storing Buddhist scriptures during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). In the southwest corner of the temple is the Xian Museum. Our guide will company you to explore the development history of Xian as the ancient capital of 13 dynasties.

At noon, you will be taken to a local family to have an a la carte lunch of home-made dishes. Here you can also learn to cook Chinese dishes under the host's direction if you are interested. In the afternoon, you will head for the next city of this 2-week China - Thailand tour package, Shanghai. Our guide and driver will transfer you to Xian Airport and help you board the plane. Upon landing, you will meet our Shanghai guide outside the exit and reach the hotel by a comfortable drive.

Day 7 Shanghai
Shanghai Museum, Yuyuan Garden, A la carte lunch, Huangpu River cruise, the Bund and Tianzifang Art street. (B+L)
After breakfast, our guide will come and get you at the hotel. Then we will head for Shanghai Museum to admire elaborate old articles collected throughout the country, including bronze wares, stone carvings, potteries, paintings and calligraphy works, furniture, and ceramics. After that, we will continue our private Shanghai tour to the Yuyuan Garden. With the company of our guide, you will wander around this elegant garden to appreciate exquisite carvings on beams, pillars and walls, as well as green ponds and bridges.

An a la carte lunch of authentic Shanghai and Cantonese cuisines will be arranged at a fancy local restaurant. The lunch costs CNY 150.00 per person and is included in our price. Then, the guide will transfer you to the dock at the Bund Area to take a one-hour Huangpu River cruise. Next, you will be given some free time to explore the exotic buildings at the Bund on your own.

After that, our guide will company you to visit Tianzifang cultural street which was developed from a local Shikumen residential block. You will find the street brimmed with artistic studios as well as various themed restaurants and bars.

You may get out of the hotel to explore this religious city which is brimmed with traditional houses and modern edifices, as well as Buddhist pagodas.

Day 9 Chiang Mai
Wat Umong, Wat Jed Yod, Wat Suan Dok, local workshops at Sankampaeng Road. (B+L)
After breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel and transferred to the Wat Umong, which can be dated back to the 14th century and contains a network of tunnels and caves. Then, you will be led to the Wat Jed Yod, famous for a 500-year-old linden tree and a pagoda foundation with seven small stupas on it. After that, we will head for the next destination, Wat Suan Dok, to take good pictures of the white stupas there.

On the way back to the downtown of Chiang Mai, we will stop by the Sankampaeng Road to visit various local workshops.

Day 10 Chiang Mai - Bangkok
Drive to Doi Suthep Mountain, Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, White Hmong Village. Fly to Bangkok. Airport-hotel transfer. (B)
The Grand Palace, Bangkok
This morning, you will be delivered to the Doi Suthep Mountain in the suburb area of Chiang Mai. Climb up 309 stairs to the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep and have a panoramic view of Chiang Mai at a large viewing platform there. After that, take local songtaews uphill to the White Hmong Village of Chang Khien to immerse in the local ethnic culture and customs. We will make a stop in the midway to have a cup of 'Arabica' coffee.

This private Chiang Mai tour will come to an end at this point. You will then be transferred to the airport for your onward flight to Bangkok. Upon landing, you will be sent to the hotel for check-in.

Day 11 Bangkok
Wat Pho with reclining Buddha, Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, a boat ride on Klong Bang Luang with a stop at Baan Silapin, Wat Arun. (B)
Your private Bangkok tour will start with the Wat Pho which houses the largest reclining Buddha of Thailand with a length of 46 meters (50 yards). Afterwards, you will be led to the Grand Palace, the largest and best-preserved palace of the country with a history of over 200 years. The Wat Phra Kaew in the northeast of the palace is another highlight. You will experience a morning chanting ritual there which usually starts at 9am.

After lunch, you will take a long-tail boat with the company of our guide to cruise on the Klong Bang Luang. We will pass by various shops, bars, and snack stores along the way. Disembark at Baan Silapin and we will spend up to two hours visiting galleries, art workshops, or local communities. We also have a chance to enjoy a wonderful puppet show performed by professional puppeteers, but it is not a guaranteed activity. During the return trip to the city, we will make a stop at Wat Arun, built to commemorate Taksin the Great (1734 - 1782).

Day 12 Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok
Drive to Ayutthaya, visit Wat Yai Chaimongkol, Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Srisanphet and local Muslim Quarter. Travel back to Bangkok by cruising on the Chao Phraya River. (B+L)

After breakfast, our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and deliver you to Ayutthaya. At first, we will pay a visit to some famous Buddhist temples - Wat Yai Chaimongkol, Wat Mahathat, and Wat Phra Srisanphet to delve into the religious culture of the city. After that, follow our guide to stroll around the Muslim Quarter and immerse in local lifestyle.

In the afternoon, we will take a cruise down the Chao Phraya River back to Bangkok and enjoy a buffet lunch onboard. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

You can take bus no.133 from South Cuihu Road to Carrefour (Century Square) Bus Stop. Then walk south around 950 meters to find the destination.

I'll arrived at the Kunming Airport around 20:45 (if there is no delay)
So would it be possible to catch the last train (23:15) from Kunming to Lijiang?

Or I had better play safe, find a hotel in Kunming and go with mtr train?

Hi, if you take the airport bus Line 2B to the railway station, it takes about 1 hour to get. So if there is no delay, it is possible for you to catch the last train.

Upon landing, you can take metro line 6 to East Coach Station and then transfer to metro line 3 to Dongfeng Square Station, Exit H. Then walk southwest around 600 meters to find the hotel.
