We are very impressed by the professionalism and prompt response by the conferenc Kelly Wang. She gave useful guidance advice and updates about the tour.
The tour guide in Huangshan was Sophia Wang. She was very knowledgeable and resourceful to show us the sights in efficient manner do that we were able to catch all the key highlights of the mountain. Also shared interesting background about the places we visited.
The driver Mr Wu was very experienced and careful driver and ensured we were comfortable and on schedule. All in all we are very happy with the team, services and processes at Travel China Guide.

The overall experience was really very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed this vacation. Since returning I have asked all my friends and acquaintances that they must add these places to their list of holiday destinations, especially Jiuzhaiguo and Huanglong.
The guide service at both places, Jiuzhaiguo/ Huanglong and Chengdu/ Mt. Emei was excellent. Both the guides, Jack at Jiuzhaiguo/ Huanglong, and Carmen Wu at Chengdu/ Mt. Emei were very, very caring and went out of their way to take good and personalized care of us. They planned each outing very meticulously so as to maximize the coverage of the respective areas within the given time. Particularly as Mrs. Das could not walk as much as needed, the guides were very mindful of providing her periods of rest in between and taking it slow and easy for her. As the hotel staff in Jiuzhaiguo had some difficulty explaining something to us, they called Jack and he came back late evening to assist with that. But all the time he had a smile on his face. He met us upon our arrival in Jiuzhaiguo station, welcoming us in the traditional Tibetan way with a scarf, and right from the first moment, we were able to form a very friendly connection with him. He knows the areas very well and was able to provide us a great experience at the Park. Jack helped us board our train from Jiuzhaiguo to Chengdu, coming in all the way to the security gates. It was really very touching.
At Chengdu, we were met by Carmen and Mr. Jiang. Carmen is excellent. Her command of English is very good and she is very friendly. Her presence and assistance at all times greatly enhanced our two day stay at Chengdu and Mt. Emei. She also planned our trip very well and we were able to cover the two places very well. Weather did not allow us to take a chance with the summit of Mt. Emei, so we just covered Wannian Temple and the Baoguo Temple and then had a very nice lunch at a local restaurant. Next day the visit to the Giant Panda Research Base was very enjoyable and educational as well. Carmen is very knowledgeable about this place. In the afternoon, after a short break at our hotel (they allowed us a late checkout at 2 pm) we went to the Broad and Narrow Alley in Chengdu. It was really a nice experience getting to experience the vibrancy of the city, getting to see the skills of the local artists and absorbing a bit of the history of the place. Carmen then accompanied us to the airport and stayed with us all the time till we went through the security gates. Her friendliness and yet able guidance left a very good impression.
Hotels: All the hotels were very good, particularly the Le Meridien at Mt. Emei which was a five star hotel and the best of the lot. The staff were professional. The hotel at Cheng du, The Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza was also quite good and comfortable. The Qianhe Rezen Hotel Jiuzhaiguo has a policy of switching off the air-conditioning after 7 pm. This made it somewhat warm at night despite keeping the window open. They did provide a standing fan upon our request, but it didn't really work. But apart from this the hotel was quite satisfactory.
The vehicles that you provided for road transport were very good and comfortable and the drivers were very competent and made us feel very safe at all times. Particularly, Mr. Jiang communicated with us through WeChat in advance which made it very easy. They were both very courteous. The communication through WeChat was very helpful and dissipated all our anxiety of not knowing the language. Linney from the Chengdu office coordinated very well and in a timely manner between us and the guides and drivers. Thank you very much, Linney.
All this was only possible because of your expert planning and guidance, Kelly. You drafted a very good travel plan and then were able to accommodate every request of ours. Your timely and regular communication over email, whatsapp and WeChat had us in the loop at all times and the trip unfolded exactly as planned. At no time did we feel lost or uncertain despite the fact that we were visiting places we had not been to before. THe team of people that you created to look after us were very, very good. We are truly delighted with the overall experience. I really felt sorry that our friends, Mr and Mrs. Sengupta could not join us. They really missed out on a great experience. They shall try to go at a future date. We have asked our son and daughter to join us on another trip to this place. For that again, I shall get in touch with you.

After Guilin, everyone split into different places, so the group got smaller and lost its energy. I think the minibus in Shanghai was a bit off although it’s well maintained.

For the 4 day tour of Beijing, I had the pleasure to deal with Mr. Eric Gao. He was very instrumental and patience with me and I feel the iternary each day was well done. The overall tour enabled us to experience and visit most of the iconic spots in Beijing. The pace that we had experienced is also good. We felt it was more tabled to our mobility and interest.
We truly appreciated our guide Ms Judy Li and the driver. We are of the opinion Ms Li not only know her job, she loved her job. She is an excellent ambasador for your company. It is given that we expect her to know all the place we visited, the history behind and their significance. After meeting us the first day, Ms Li took charge and lead. She recogized our age and mobility and made adjustment on the tour as we proceeded. Good example is changing the venue of the Great Wall we visited. She was very upfront and told us Mutianyu may be too much a climb for us and it was changed to I believed the Juyongguan venue. So we missed the cable ride as a result. Judy is very caring and she ensured the pace was balanced and we enjoyed ourselves and safe. Her English was good and together with limited mandarin we know, communication is perfect. The driver and Judy is always punctual to pick us up at our hotel and dropped us off as each day tour was completed.
Beijing was our first stop and our next stop was Shenyang. We decided to try out China's famous speed train and we are so grateful to have assistance from Ms Maria Xue. Maria helped us booked our train and also the confirmation. She was very helpful and everything ran like clockwork. What an experience to sit on a train that ran 300kph.

We have returned from our 10-day tour of Beijing/Guilin/Yangshuo. We had a very good holiday facilitated by your guides on the ground. Sarah in Beijing and Amber in Guilin. Also to mention, Prince went out of his way to help us get to the Oriental Pearl Tower (through the incredibly congested Shanghai holiday traffic) after the tour end, for a separate dinner reservation we had arranged at the tower, which was very much appreciated.

I want to say that on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, I would rate our overall impression of the China Oriental Discovery 14 day tour a 8.5 to 9.0. The tour was very well planned, and the guides (we had four different persons, Kitty, two Lily's and Michael) were all very helpful and contributed greatly to our enjoyment and learning in each one of the cities they represented....
Personally, I felt like the amount of time having to wait just to enter the Forbidden City was a bit annoying, and I completely recognize the importance of this cultural site, but for me, it just wasn't the ""kind"" of sightseeing experience that I enjoy the most. However, the remainder of our time, and all the sites that we visited in Beijing, Xi'an and Guilin were very well organized, and very, very enjoyable. The two shows, the first being the acrobatic show, and the second one being the Ming Dynasty musical show, were both fantastic, and the guides did a great job of getting us there on time... I'm sure that took more skill to manage the time before hand then met the eye. This was our very first ""destination"" group tour, and i learned that not only do I tend to walk at a slower pace, but my personality is such that I like, or should I say that I prefer to move a bit slower, and stop and look around and ""smell the roses"" more than the pacing of the group tour would allow for.. This is on me, and not at all intended to be a criticism of the group tour that Travel China Guide provided us..
As far as the lodging included in each one of the cities where we travelled, I would say the selection of each was spot on.. Each one was unique and different from the previous place where we stayed, which i feel like in a small way contributed to the overall experience of travelling from one city to the next. We especially liked the surrounding environment for each of the hotels where we stayed, since after our tours daily activities had ended, my wife and I often ventured out walking slowly on our own, and we truly enjoyed seeing the park, the outdoor space along the river, the lit up like Las Vegas City area, etc. around where each one of our hotels were located... So, absolutely nothing at all to complain about regarding Travel China Guides selection of hotels where we stayed in Biejing, Xi'an, Guilin or Zhangjiajie... They all were just wonderful, comfortable, and our time spent there was just perfect for the end of our day.
I have no regrets whatsoever about choosing Travel China Guide from among the 4 or 5 different travel tour companies that I carefully reviewed before choosing YOU and TCG. I have almost 300 photos which I am now preparing to place into a new photo album to share with our family and friends, and speaking of that.

I thought it was a well thought out trip and it went very smoothly. We covered a lot of places in the days allotted. In hindsight I would have liked to see more of the Great Wall and maybe stayed in Guillen an extra day. Lily in guillen was the standout guide (although the others were very good). She really connected with the group and made some good additions to our itinerary. All the guides were very good. I liked the fact that it was more active than I expected so didn’t feel like I was sitting in the bus or train all day.
Amy was exceptional in sorting out minor glitches and we were always able to contact her and we appreciated that she showed up at one of our locations to say hi. A real personal touch. Amy responds very quickly to all queries by email. So refreshing. Thanks Amy.

I had a fantastic experience during my trip to China, and Amy’s support made a huge difference throughout the journey.

Thank you very much for the spectacular and imperial birthday celebration. I was as surprised as my husband. Many other group members thought it was spectacular as well.
Overall, I like entertaining shows. So my favourites were the acrobatic show in Beijing and yesterday's Tang Dynasty's folklore tale. As for the sights, I have lived in China before more than 20 years ago, for 3 years, and had travelled quite extensively to various parts of China previously. This is however the first time for my husband. We are glad that his birthday coincides with the visit.
Additionally, your guides so far have been very good. Kitty was very personable and connected well with everyone in the group. She made everyone feel at ease with her happy and bubbly personality. Lily is a very knowledgeable guide who showed her intent and seriousness whenever she explained the history of the places we visited. She is obviously very proud to be a guide and to share what she knows.
Next year, we hope to travel as a family of 6 adults to Tibet, Chengdu, Jhuzaigo and Yunnan on a private tour. At least that's the plan for now. I will get in touch with you again!

First of all, the level of organization was excellent throughout the entire trip. Everything was always perfectly on time, the cars were very comfortable, the drivers were professional, the routes were well planned. I would also especially like to thank Simon and Connie. They are both absolutely fantastic guides.
