We had an excellent day on this small group tour, made truly memorable by our guide, Lily. Her knowledge and passion brought the history and culture of the Terracotta Army and City Wall to life. With just six people, the experience was personal and engaging, allowing for deep dives into the stories and background of each site. My guide, Ryan, made this one day tour worth every minute. We saw some key highlights of the city (including a river cruise in the fog which made for wonderful moody photos!) but it was the information and insights shared by Ryan that made every location come alive. There were also 2 things not on the itinerary that I wanted to do and Ryan made those happen! Amazing guide and worthwhile experience.

y friends and I had a wonderful experience in Guilin . The scenic boat ride was indeed as wonderful as what we were told . Although our trip was a hectic 1 day trip , our local guide , named Oscar , made our trip smooth and relaxing with great care and experience. Most of all , he speaks good English, thus provided all of us with clear n useful informations in all expects of the tour and our needs . We all enjoyed this short but wonderful trip.

We had a great day trip to Hangzhou and managed to see lots in one day. The bullet train tickets were all organised for us, which made the journey very easy. We visited the Pagoda of Six Harmonies, Lingyin Temple, took a boat ride on West Lake, and explored Hangzhou’s old streets. Our guide Samantha was very sweet and friendly, and shared lots of interesting stories about Hangzhou and the places we visited.

From start to finish Travel China Guide - Beijing has provided a great experience. I had booked a two day tour in Beijing which unfortunately fell onto a Monday when some of the bigger attractions close. The company was responsive to any message sent here on TripAdvisor, and provided me with many alternative options. I eventually settled with a one day trip to square, forbidden city, and the Great Wall with a partial refund, which I thought was very fair.

Our guide Helen is excellent and knowledgeable. She handled everything, ticketing, crowd navigation, explanation, and time management expertly. She looked after members of our tour group, including helping out a family with a stroller. To help everyone get home on time in traffic, she even ordered taxi for some of us to get back to our hotels.

It is a great value, as I add everything up from the dedicated shuttle to the much appreciated guide to the tourist catered lunch buffet.

We went on this tour as a group of 5 friends, our tour guide was Helen, she was quite nice.
Picked us up at the hotel punctual, then we went in a very compact comprehensive tour that included many heighlights, most importantly Helen was taking very good care of the time so we kept the schedule and she also took good care if us.
Really recommend if you only have 1 day in Beijing and would like to squeeze in the heighlights.

Roger was a fantastic guide. His tour was filled with a ton of historical not just about the Terracotta Army itself but also Xi’an and its time as the capital and serving as the nexus of the Silk Road. We hit the main spots in addition to the mausoleum and ended in the Muslim bazaar just in time for dinner. If like me, you are pressed for time when coming to Xi’an, I highly recommend this tour as it covers a lot while not feeling too rushed.

Our tour guide Kitty was excellent and made our time in Beijing truly unforgettable. She took great care of us, provided outstanding service, and shared fascinating historical information throughout the tour. Thanks to Kitty’s knowledge and attention, we had a fabulous time exploring Beijing and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting.

Roger was truly one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. He was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of my questions, not only about Mount Huashan, but also about Chinese culture more broadly. His English was excellent, and his warm, friendly personality made the entire experience even more enjoyable. I look forward to booking another trip with the same tour company the next time I find my way back to China.

Our seven-person family, three-week adventure throughout various regions and 7 cities across China was all we could have hoped for and more. The small private group arrangement was excellent (so much better than a group tour). The quality of service and assistance from the guides exceeded our expectations. They understood the challenges for English only speaking visitors and provided great assistance that removed stress from us. The tour planning advice, bookings of numerous planes, trains, hotels, vehicles and visitation sites was expertly advised, planned, organised and managed by Wendy. We have much to thank her and our guides for making our tour run perfectly. We certainly could not have enjoyed our experiences as much, would have encountered so many problems with language barrier issues and knowing where to go and when, without the expert guidance and assistance provided.

This was such a lovely experience! Lily, our tour guide, was amazing. Her extensive knowledge and passion on the history of Xi'an and the Terracotta Warriors was so admirable and helpful with understanding the life during Ancient times and background of the city. She also answered all our questions with gentle understanding and knowledge.

Overall, it was an excellent tour and I would love to book again when I come back to see the city's progression.

Lily was an amazing tour guide!! She had so much knowledge to share and was so helpful and supportive the entire time! She often checked how we were doing and made sure we were all together before moving.

Roger was incredibly enthusiastic and passionate about sharing the historical facts of the Terracotta Army, and I learned so much from him. The city tour was very well organized and absolutely worth recommending. What really stood out was how thoughtful and helpful he was even beyond the tour itself — I actually ran into him by chance on Mount Huashan, where he kindly helped me get tickets. An amazing guide and a genuinely kind person. Highly recommended!

Winnie, was a breath of fresh air, she was knowledgeable, easy going and while on the bus we sang Karaoke, which my teen boys loved. We explored Zhangijajie National Park for 2 days with Winnie, and saw all the main sights, but it didn’t feel rushed. Winnie did an excellent job in creating a very memorable experience, and we will cherish the memory.

It was a great 4 days 3 nights private tour to Chengdu. I had a good time and i am very thankful for the excellent service and help from my guide (Joy) and driver (Mr. Xie) who had been assist me especially with my mom comfortability as she is on wheelchair. Love the cold and fresh air in Chengdu. My tour guide explain it very well to make the each places that we visited interesting and it very informative from culture, history and traditions. The trip to Giant Pandas Base well of course is unforgettable especially to see all the cute pandas. All the food are delicious. Most of all the places that i have visited are convenient if we come with elderly and wheelchair accessible. This is the second time i came to China with the same agency and the overall service is beyond my expectations from the planning with the agent (Emily) and the service provided from beginning of the tour until the end. Highly recommended.

A thoroughly excellent two-week private tour of China. Our travel consultant Ms Kina Lu was extremely accommodating and responsive, tailoring our itinerary to our requests and suggesting various options for us to get the most out of our tour. All hotels surpassed our expectations and the guides were knowledgable with a good level of English. Visiting China in December meant less queues and smaller crowd sizes, which was great. Our first time visiting China and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Lily was our guide for the day and she gave us an overview of the Qin history allowed us to appreciate better what we were viewing and most importantly to understand the importance in the Chinese culture and history. We had a wonderful day exploring Beijing with Wei (William) as our guide. Visiting Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Mutianyu Great Wall was a great experience, and everything was well organized and smooth.
William was friendly, patient, and knowledgeable, and he made the history easy to understand and enjoyable for our whole family. We felt well taken care of throughout the day and truly enjoyed our time. We would happily recommend Wei (William) to anyone visiting Beijing.

The tour was well spaced with a brilliant explanation by Lily. We had adequate time to admire each historic site and Lily was happy to answer all of our questions. It was not overly crowded and Lily showed us where to get the best pictures. It was wonderful to have the option to stay at the Muslim Bazaar and spend the rest of the evening there.

The visit to the terracotta Warriors museus is astonishing and a must-go activity! ROGER, our guide, was extremely professional and demonstrated a deep knowledge on Chinese history and taught us a lot about ancient Chinese dynasties and cultural aspects. He is very kind, polite, nice, and was very patient to answer all our questions. He showed us temples and nice places around the city. I strongly recommend this activity with ROGER as a guide!

Our trip to Zhangjiajie was absolutely amazing, and our guide Ivy (Weifang) made the experience even more special. She was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable, explaining the history and significance of each attraction clearly and patiently.

The scenery in Zhangjiajie was breathtaking. The Glass Bridge was thrilling and unforgettable, with incredible views all around. Tianmen Mountain was equally impressive—from the scenic cable car ride to Heaven’s Gate and the stunning mountain landscapes. Ivy managed the schedule perfectly, giving us enough time to enjoy each location, take photos, and relax without feeling rushed.

Transportation, tickets, and overall arrangements were smooth and well organized. Thanks to Ivy (Weifang)’s excellent guidance and attentive service, our Zhangjiajie visit was stress-free and truly memorable. I highly recommend this tour and especially recommend Ivy as a guide!

We had a fantastic experience on the Mini Group Xi’an Tour to the Terracotta Warriors Museum with Roger as our guide. Roger was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating historical context that really brought the Terracotta Warriors to life. He communicated clearly throughout the tour and provided headsets, which made it easy to hear and follow along at all times.

The tour was very well organized and nicely paced, never rushed, but efficient enough to see everything comfortably. Lunch was excellent and a great addition to the overall experience.

We had an incredible experience on the Best Mini Group: Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square & Great Wall tour — and Rocky made it truly unforgettable! From the moment we met him, his enthusiasm and deep knowledge of Beijing’s history really stood out. He explained the historical significance of each site — from the vast expanse of Tiananmen Square to the imperial grandeur of the Forbidden City and the iconic Great Wall — in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. His commentary added so much meaning to every stop.

What made the day even more special was how attentive Rocky was with photos. He took lots of beautiful pictures of us at all the best viewpoints so we didn’t have to worry about juggling cameras ourselves. Our guide, Roger ensured that our day on Mt Huashan ran very smoothly. It was a long day travelling from Xi-an but well worth it after experiencing the amazing view from the peaks. The highlight was the Plank Walk - via Ferrata China style! A long line up time for tickets, but Roger made sure that we made it into the first group which saved us a lot of time. We highly recommend Roger as a guide. He shared so much knowledge about Chinese history, culture and general life in China. Thanks for a great, day, Roger

We were so lucky to get Helen as our tour guide, she was wonderful! Warm, punctual, and considerate, gave us good descriptions of relevant places and stories, making it a positive experience. She contacted me via WhatsApp a day before and communicated very clearly and effectively all the time. She was constantly checking what she could do to make us enjoy the outing more, like making sure the temperature of the van was right for us, reminding us the itinerary, offering us complimentary water bottles... She even gave us suggestions of where to go for dinner afterwards. She was lovely and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend this tour with Helen.
