We had a great time in Peking, thanks to our fabulous guide Rocky. It was well-balanced with sightseeing and hiking on 2 different sections of the Great Wall. The Jinshanling Great Wall was superb. We were quite amazed about all the knowledge, organizational skills and ideas Rocky has, coming up with extra suggestions, for example once we went quite spontaneously to a very colourful show. It made our journey relaxing and very flexible.

We highly recommend Selina who was our tour guide in Beijing where we explored Forbidden city, The Great Wall, Hutong, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace. She is a very knowledgeable guide and speaks perfect English. Thanks to that, we learnt a lot about Beijing and the Chinese culture. She was also very helpful finding souvenirs that we were looking for and translating when needed. She also took us to two nice places for a lunch: we’ve tried local dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken and the Plum Juice, all of which were absolutely delicious!

All in all, if you think about exploring Beijing and learning about China, ask for Selina and you won’t get disappointed :).

Serena was an absolute gem of a tour guide. The tour itself was great, an action packed day but never felt rushed. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone me had an amazing time. She treated us like family and provided great history and insights into each stop. As a solo traveler it was very easy to meet other people because Serena created a social environment where it was easy to have a good time and get to know each other. I highly recommend

We highly recommend Tom. He was our tour guide that helped us explore Guilin on a boat cruise. He is very knowledgeable and speaks very good English. He is also a local person who grew up in Guilin, which is a big plus if you want to learn about Guilin and the neighborhood at first hand. After the cruise, Tom took us to local villages, where we explored China from a completely different perspective: we saw farmers, rice fields and plenty of fruit and vegetables growing that we’ve never seen before. Tom is also a great photographer - we have some of the best shots from the whole trip in China.

All in all, if you think about exploring Guilin and the neighborhood while learning about China, ask for Tom and you won’t get disappointed :).

The tour was great! We originally booked just a half day to visit the Teracotta Army but Celine was so fun to be with and so knowledgable. Her passion for history really shone through and was very infectious that we ended up asking to stay for the rest of the day. Celine was flexible as well letting us explore all areas as we needed to which really helped to create a friendly atmosphere within the whole tour group. We met some lovely people and had a great day. Highly recommend Celine and this tour.

The tour to Great Wall, Forbidden City and Tian An Men was lovely with Lucy. She was so energetic, helpful and gave a great tour of every place we went. Absolutely made my day!

2 days in Guilin to live the wonderful nature and relaxing atmosphere all around. River cruise was well organized and comfortable. Then countryside and cave visit were a nice experience, thanks also to our nice guide Lily Cao, who was very supportive and did a special job in making us understanding and appreciating local culture. She is a great singer too! All highly reccomended, thank you!

We had a great time in Xi'an with Tracy and Mr Han. Tracy has great knowledge about China history and explain clearly with her excellent English. She managed the time perfectly to give us time for sight seeing and private time. She arranged for us to see the show Tang Dynasty while eating all kind of dumplings. We had good sits where we can see all activities.
Tracy and Me Han are very punctual and very kind to give us a ride in their New Huawei EV car, clean and comfortable.We would recommend anyone to book with Tracy to have a great experience of Xi'an.

It was my wife’s and I first time in Xi’an and this tour was a great introduction to some special attractions in the city. There was great communication with the tour company, ensuring we had WeChat set up well in advance so we could make contact with our tour guide Jacky. Jacky was punctual, organised and very engaging throughout the tour. He explained things very well and he allowed us ample time to explore the attractions. A huge plus of this tour is that it’s a small group (we had six people), which meant that Jacky could give us the time and full attention for any questions we had. Highly recommended and I would like to thank Jacky for being a fantastic guide!

Our tour guide, Candy is amazing! She is highly knowledgeable and addresses all our questions (in both Chinese and English) not only about the Great Wall, but also general knowledge of China. She also helps take great pictures of us ridding the tobaggan! All in all, if you need a tour guide that provides detailed explanation about the history while hikeing alongside you all, Candy is the one. Above all, the experience was better than expected due to excellent weather and not much crowd at Mutianyu.

I had held off my travel wish to China for more than 10 year. We finally arrived Beijing with the anxiety of unknown. Helen gave us the confidence of safety and security from the first moment we meet her. She is always punctual and ready before we are. We help to arrange and rearrange our schedule to get the best out of two days on Beijing. Helen and her driver Mr. Li can act quickly to change the landing locations and gate to give you the least queuing time but getting the most on what you can experienced at Thiên An Môn Square and Forbidden City. She had a vast knowledge of China history and she can shorten it so that you have enough to say I know China history. Of course you can't learn 6000 years history in 2 days - minus the time to eat Peking Ducks and Climbing the Great Wall to look out for whoever want to attack China and let the Emperors know to send the army to protect Beijing.
We would like to thank Helen for being kind and genuinely tour guide for our stay in Beijing. Helen not only took us to the train station but also to ensure we have been in correct train and sits to head down to Xian before hugs and goodbyes Beijing. We left Beijing with a lot of great perspective about the new China.

A wonderful day sightseeing at The Great Wall, Tiananmen Square and The Forbidden City! I used to travel alone quite often but not so often now that I’m married. Either way, sometimes I/we explored solo and sometimes with a group.
So I found myself planning a trip to China and knew I had to go to Xi’an and see the Terracotta Warriors. I’ve been wanting to see those fellows for decades.
I researched how to get out to the site and what to do. The more I looked, the more overwhelming it became. I got around Greece just fine in my own with its Greek alphabet but this was something in a whole different league. Time for a tour. My tour rules: no big groups. Air conditioning in summer. Back to the research. In the end I chose Travel China Guide. The reviews were uniformly good on different sites. Small groups, a/c, and water bottles! People loved the guides. The price was very reasonable.
Our guide, Celine, was extremely knowledgeable about the era of the Warriors. Remarkably, her enthusiasm was genuine for something she must explain on a regular basis. I have some walking problems (slow as sloth in molasses) and she was so patient (the whole group of healthy people were). I am certain I got much more from the Warriors through Celine and
TCG than I would have on my own. Celine also knows the best noodle restaurant. We all loved it. I also enjoyed the Pagoda, museum, and city wall. I opted out of the Muslim Quarter. Even if you are a solo traveler, do the tour. It’s nice to be a part of the group.

2 days in Xi'an to see Terracotta warriors and much more in the city and experience local culture and people life. Everything was well organized to let us enjoy our trip and our guide Carol Chen took special care of us with kindness, while helping us to learn Chinese history and local tradition, including food and dance, with true passion. Thank you, we highly reccomend.

racy was the best! Very warm and friendly. Picked us up at 750 and we picked up 3 other passengers and were off to see the warriors. Went the first week of September and the school holiday was over so there were no lines to get in. We were given ear pieces and she had a mic so we could hear her as the pits are very noisy. After exploring the pits and the grounds some we were off to the small goose pagoda and to view artifacts which were incredible some from 1000BC. Having a guide was best for things to look for and tricks on ways to navigate certain exhibits. Ended in the bazaar and got some tips on things to do in the area after. Overall the best day and great value!

We spent 4 days in Beijing visiting many special places like Great Wall, Forbidden city, Panda House :-) . All was very well organized, driver was supportive and Linda Xie our guide was super, providing many information abot history, culture and lifestyle, she really went above our high expectation. Very reccomended thank you.

Celine was a fantastic guide (after being to over 100 countries) with a lot of information and genuine interests in our needs. The tour was organized flawlessly, visiting Xian's key tourist attractions in just a day - without sacrificing quality time. Perfect tour for those who have tight schedule, and especially my guide Celine who was very organized, informative and was so kind to even help me with some other errands!

This private tour was customizable and at our own pace, which we really appreciated. Our tour guide, Kevin, was very knowledgeable and gave us interesting history about the Great Wall and Beijing. The driver always had the car ready for us and it was a comfortable ride. We were glad that we did the tour in the order of Mutianyu, Badaling, and Juyongguan. This avoided the big crowds and we were able to get photos without anyone in the background. We were worried doing three parts in one day was too ambitious, but we had plenty of time to walk/hike the Wall and to get many photos. The tour even allowed us to coordinate and meet up with some friends who were on a separate tour.

Candy is an extremely knowledgable tour guide and a very friendly person. This is a very full day and keeping things moving at a pace to see everything, without rushing or overrunning is quite a skill. We arrived back at our hotel very satisfied with the day.

Tracy was our tour leader, she was punctual , very friendly , speaks both fluent English and Mandarin. We were picked up directly from the hotel, during the one hour ride to Terracota Army Museum , Tracy briefed us about the history clearly and attended to our questions. I like how the tour is for small group. There were only 5 of us, it made the tour comfortable, easier to manage and a smooth one. This mini tour would have covered most of the key highlight attractions in Xi’An within. At the end of the tour, Tracy recommended a few local food places upon our request. Highly recommended this mini tour.

We had a fantastic time in China. We enjoyed all the sights. The food was amazing and the people were so friendly. We would highly recommend visiting China for a holiday.

Considering the usually crowded places that we visited, we much appreciate Rocky for knowing to choose the right timing, therefore we could enjoy the sites with not so many people around. He made a good recommendation for lunch, too. We were lucky to have Rocky as our guide for Beijing tour, as he very well knows to interact with his tourists and to accomplish their needs.

Our family of 4 went on a 9 day China Tour with TravelChinaGuide to Beijing, Xian and Shanghai. I had a great experience working with Amy (TravelChinaGuide) in planning our customize private tour. The local tour guides (Selina, Susan & Sophie) and drivers in each of these locations were very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating and created memorable experiences for us in each of the cities in China.

Huge recognition and thank you to Kina Lu for making our tour and general travelling in China so smooth. Kina was professional and very efficient. We booked onto the Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang tour and she was meticulous in detail. She was also very considerate in her advice e.g how early should arrive at station, any other requirements etc.
Her communication was speedy and clear. I didn’t know whether she could arrange train tickets outside of the tour but she could and that was very helpful. I interacted with her both in UK and when I arrived in China.

In addition the local guide that we were allocated for the tour Hedy (or Heidi as it came up on WeChat) was absolutely fantastic as well. Very warm, professional and also considerate.
We had three children with us and my youngest wasn’t particularly great at queuing in the heat like cattle so she took him with her on the tour guide side to help him relax. She really looked after us and our needs whilst travelling, giving us great information on the area and answering questions we had. We dressed up at Fenghuang and she was so patient as we didn’t finish or get back to the hotel until 10pm or later.

Prior to this tour I had only ever booked train tickets on line for family and never used them to book tours. This was my first time using them for a tour as I needed it to be easy with children and they certainly delivered.

The hotels were great and the local restaurants you eat at for lunch are delicious and authentic to the area. Private driver was great to have especially with kids, Mr Ding was great.

If you do this tour - I hope you get Kina organising for you!

My family went for a recent tour to China Beijing and Xi'an tour with Travel China Guide agency. It was a great and wonderful experience. We enjoyed the trip tremendously. In Xia'an, we saw the City Wall, Tang Night, Terra Cotta, Huanshang etc. It was the most memorable experience.
